I was surprised by the lack of customer associates at the front of the store when I walked in. I purchased a printer cartridge on line and arrived to pick it up. Upon entering, I looked to my left at the checkout counter. No one was stationed there and a sign stated "Checkout at Print Center". I went to the Print Center, stood in line for several minutes, and took a picture of the entire area when a gentleman asked if I was being helped. I turned around to see TWO MORE customers in line behind him. I said loudly enough for all to hear, "I've been standing here for almost 5 minutes and no one has come around." Shortly thereafter, Brianna came up to ask what I needed. She apologized and said "I don't know where my four other associates are at." She had me go back to the regular checkout counter and retrieved my purchase from the cabinet. While waiting to complete the checkout process, two more associates came up, one pushing a cart with another customer's item, and the other walking beside her laughing and talking and having a good 'ol time. (Why you needed two associates to attend to one customer, plus leaving the checkout counter unmanned with a line of customers waiting is unfathomable. Where was the manager on duty?!) I thanked Brianna for assisting me with the checkout and began to leave. I then noticed the "Pickup station" nestled between a rack and a stack of shopping baskets at the entrance. I suggest that station needs to be more visible to people entering the store, especially when no one is monitoring the checkout counter. I might have gotten faster service (as well as the three customers behind me) if it was more out in the open. read more

If I could give a ZERO, I WOULD. The worst store in Orlando. FL. Only one copy maybe two if you are lucky. The customer service is AWFUL!!! Two employees present during the business hours to serve the customers and one employee ( manager) standing around not even attempting to help is disgusting and disrespectful to the customers in this region. read more

This particular Office Depot is in the SODO (south of downtown) neighborhood of Orlando. It is located in the same shopping plaza as the Publix and is located next to the Peach Valley Cafe in that shopping plaza. The store is clean and the person who assisted me was absolutely fantastic. Since it is in a relatively large sized shopping plaza, parking is not an issue. This shopping plaza is also conveniently located on Orange Avenue, so it is in the middle of everything. I would definitely recommend a visit here for any of your office needs. I will give it five stars (). Head on over that way if you need anything for your office. read more

They are awful. I stood at the counter for 10 minutes waiting to be helped while employees talked to each-other, made eye contact with me, and ignored me completely. Go to the sand lake location they are much more helpful, or actually helpful at all unlike these people who obviously get paid to stand and chat. read more

I have been coming to this location for printing and copying for years. I've always had good experiences with the staff. Today, I went to get some important documents printed and faxed, related to the death of a family member. There were two "girls" working behind the counter. I won't call them young women because they acted like surly, ill-mannered teenagers. The girl who waited on me and printed my documents acted totally disinterested in helping me and like she was doing me a favor even acknowledging my presence. Then, after the fax machine I was using had a paper jam, which damaged the page and required a new one to be photocopied, I stepped back over to the counter, in somewhat of a hurry because my credit card number was in the now unattended machine. I tried to get their attention but they were too busy talking about some minor, unrelated issue. Trying to get their attention, I stepped a little closer, when the other girl started getting loud and acting like a cop doing crowd control, shouting at me to step back. It took a good minute to get one of them moving to accomplish the simple task of running one photocopy. Then the two of them skulked back to the back of their work area and gave me dirty looks. Totally unprofessional. The girl who first waited on me and printed my documents didn't even print me a receipt when she was finished ringing up the transaction. All I got was a coupon I won't use. I must say that a manager, a young man with a difficult name to spell and pronounce.... Deudonne (?) was very polite, courteous and helpful. He is a true credit to the company. Without his assistance, I would have just left in disgust. I understand that companies like Office Depot can no longer be too choosy about the kinds of employees they hire, given the current, legally required focus on "other factors" outside the realm of basic qualifications. But these two girls need to be sent to some kind of customer service or attitude training. I won't be going back there for a long time. I'll use the Staples up in Colonial Plaza for the foreseeable future. If I find out those two are gone, I'll give this store a try again. read more

Ok friends buckle up because this is a true roller coaster of a review. So normally I'm less inclined to review a major corporate brand because who cares, right? Everyone knows Office Depot. But let me tell you how we got here. So my fiancé and I are planning our wedding, that's what fiancés do. And we are doing a lot of stuff ourselves because wedding price tags are NO JOKE. I'm usually the one to say "throw some money at it and make it go away" but I HAVE LIMITS Y'ALL. So anyways, we (ok mostly him but I'm helping) have been working on making invitations from scratch, they're individually painted, they look amazing (I'll attach a pic to the post), and all that was left to do was print them. Well it turns out no one we know has a printer any more because print is dead. So we trot on down to Office Depot with some paper and a dream. Let me tell you that the young lady at the print station (Sam) was a gem. She guided us on how to use the self-service print station to print from an emailed document, but when we tried to actually do it - BOOM - the machine didn't work. Nothing printed, nothing happened. I was NOT about to put these precious pieces of art into a potentially shady xerox, so instead Sam has us email the doc to her directly, and she prints it on the machine behind the counter - the special employees-only printer. She adjusted the margins, did a test run, and generally made sure it was perfect before sending out sheets through the wash. And then, because they printed 2 to a page, she used the Office Depot laser cutter to give us a crisp, even, perfect cut on all the invites. They were PERFECT, and the whole thing was all of like 5 bucks (and half an hour of time because of that failed attempt on the self service machine). So I'm happy, right? Don't worry, the turn is coming. So the invitations are looking good but a little simple, so we decide to gussy them up with a little rice paper. I order said paper from Amazon (because I went to 3 local places and couldn't find what I was after - don't @ me), and it arrives and looks good but is too big. The invites are a rectangle and the paper is a larger rectangle. So we decide what we need to do is cut the paper to more of a square, so that we can fold one edge around, glue to the back, and make it like a little book cover. Cute! Can you picture it? I'll attach photos. So point is I need this delicate, moderately pricey paper cut perfectly, and I know EXACTLY who is gonna get my business. The OG OD - Office Depot. So I trot on back and while I'm waiting at the counter on a whim I looked up the star rating here and I'm like - come on you guys, this place is KILLING these invitations! I'm all "Get ready for 5 stars, Yelpos!" So of course as with any good story, this is where it all crashes. I asked to have the paper cut, notes how I need it to be a square, and gave the young lady (name redacted) at the counter my invitations to measure against, along with about 50 sheets of rice paper. And as you might guess based on my ominous foreshadowing - she disappeared to the laser machine for a couple of minutes, then happily returned with a 50-sheet stack of small rectangles. There was no test run, no "Does this look good before I do the rest?" Just 50 sheets of incorrectly sized paper rectangles. I guess now we will use them for origami? So I'm going down the middle at 3 stars, for one perfect job and one total fail. Thankfully we had backup paper left over at the house, which we are now cutting with scissors like normal people would have done to begin with. And I suppose I have learned a valuable lesson here about my own hubris and listening to the Yelp community. Next time I'll know! read more

I stopped into Office Depot today to recycle some used ink cartridges. Just the small ones from my printer. As I was in the parking lot a woman open her window and asked if I would recycle her toner cartridge. Of course, I said I would. I was happy to do a favor for someone. I went inside and said I wanted to recycle my used ink cartridges. They asked me if I had a rewards card. I told them, "I thought I did, but I just want to donate the cartridges I do not want any rewards". I was then told that if I did not have a reward card they would not accept the cartridges. If I had a rewards card I was limited to 10 per month. So I gave a phone number hoping they had it in their system so I could donate the ink cartridges. The cashier took 10 of them and that was that. I remembered I had the toner cartridge that the woman in the parking lot gave me so I asked the cashier to take it. At first she said she couldn't take it because I already reached my limit of 10. So I told her that it wasn't mine and some lady gave it to me in the parking lot and I didn't want it. She finally took it, reluctantly. What I don't understand is why they don't just take ink cartridges without my having a rewards card. I am sure they get some kind of a compensation for these in cartridges. Oh well, I guess I'll go back next month to recycle what I have left. read more

I dropped off and e-mailed them a paper that I needed made into a poster and laminated and they said it would be done that day. I came back the following day to be told that someone put it in the "completed" tray but never did the job. Then it was going to take time to put the right paper in the machine and then laminate it. Was asked if I could come back later in the day or tomorrow. The staff needs some retraining on how to do their jobs. read more

I go in today to buy some supplies, when I was asking the customer service rep CHAD who was looking down the whole time if they do net 30's AKA business account he said in 15 years he has never herd about that. As I asked how do you work with companies who do business account. His statement was That his vinyl business and real estate business doesn't need business credit that he's doing real good, and that his businesses don't need lending that his cash flow takes care of everything. About 6 people waiting around in line and 2 employees fiddling with machinery. I left. Came back the next day earlier to beat the crowd. Well only one employee and three people before me. Got disgusted after 10 minutes of never having my order taken and left, never to return again. No wonder the chain is going out of business. read more

It's quite evident that Office Depot treats their employees like crap from the moment they clock in until they leave. I dread coming here but I have to come because their copiers do print well and they are located near my home. The shortest time I ever spent here was 17 minutes...... to get like 10 copies. They have their employees work with multiple customers at the same time which leaves poor service to all. Not smart. I've seen customers curse and yell exiting the building. I've seen people wait longer than me. I've seen people who came in after me leave before me. It makes no sense Office Depot. Get rid of these stupid policies and help us customers get in and get out as quickly as possible. read more

Avoid this place at all costs. The printing/copy/fax/shipping department is completely incompetent. I've been here 5 times. The shortest I've ever been in store is 35 minutes to have 5 pages printed. The longest was 2 hours. I just went in to pickup an order that I placed and paid for 3 hours ago online and they haven't started printing it yet. They're under staffed, under trained, and there's been equipment malfunction with a machine every time I've been here. I always regret coming here but it's the only place close by. read more

Do not bother having custom printed anything printed here unless you have a great deal of time to waste. The final printed item is fine but the ordering process is nothing short of torture. The staff in the store has no clue and the overseas call center takes forever. I have a lot of patience but they push me to my limit and beyond!! read more
