Everyone knows the attention a customer can get when he comes in with a big job. However I had but…read morea small job, moving and reattaching the hanging wire for a large painting -- only a ten minute special, but very important to me because of my wife's concern that this picture must be hung by Christmas. So what was a small job in terms of the work required was super important to me that I find someone who would get it done correctly. When I waked into Frame Masters Gallery, right at the height of the holiday busy season, I was anxious that this might not be possible. My blessed luck was to meet Christina Martin, who sensed the urgency i was feeling, and dropped what she was doing and immediately began to effect my repair. Few owners have this sense of being able to see how important a job -- even a little job -- can be to a customer, and respond accordingly. I was able to depart after a very short interval with my redone painting, and with the warmest possible feelings of gratitude and appreciation for Christina super "pro-customer" behavior.

I guess the only issue with this is you first have to want to buy something. The place has a lot of furniture pieces, but the prices were so high, it would seem they are trying their best to put themselves out of business. Needless to say, we did not find that have to have item and only saw two things we had never seen before. Not worth the trip, especially if travelling from Ocala, as it would seem they do more furniture restoration than antique sales.

The store is small but has ton of art. I'm very particular with what I like, and it's hard to find, but to my amazement I was able to find a few original pieces on canvas. I had zero intentions on spending any money that day let alone that munch money for the month. I bought 4 pieces, had them stretched and framed. The pricing was affordable, and he had a ton of framing options. Those pieces decorated our guest room and dining room so I can say it was a win. The owner was the one who was helping us, and he was so nice. He clearly has a passion for art and was very knowledgeable in every aspect. From the works to the framing he was able to talk you through it. He even helped us bounce ideas of different frames that might look good in our space once we told him our vision. If you're in need of an art piece I highly recommend this shop.
