First upon arrival the place is very sketchy looking with nothing on the door but a hung up banner that was half falling down. When I walked in, I thought there was no employee but as I approached the counter I realized that the employee was dead asleep in the chair. This was in the middle of the day. I wasn't sure if I should try waking him up, so I walked back out and back in to trigger the sound of the door alarm. They don't take any form of card payment, only cash app, Zelle, or cash (definitely not suspicious at all). I didn't get a receipt and I had to ask the employee if he needed my information so that he could call me when it was ready. He seemed flustered and said it was his first day. I'm assuming the fact he just woke up didn't help. I called the owner about two hours in to ask for an update and he said it would be ready in 20 minutes. When he got to the store it was in fact not ready and took an additional 20 minutes. When I got the tablet back, the screen was "fixed" but the iPad did not work when trying to touch it. We brought it back in for the employee to say it was a "defective part". We had to wait an additional three hours for it to be corrected. I will say the owner was responsive via phone calls and yelp but that is the only positive I found. The price point is low, but there are competitors in the area that charge similar rates, I would recommend looking into those.

Thankfully, the Genius Bar has a list of local computer techs who will go where no Apple has gone before (past its warranty) and Tech Hero was at the top of that list. Thankfully, I haven't had to go see them a whole bunch, but when I did, it was for cataclysmic stuff that went down at the most inopportune times. The gurus at Tech Hero were professional, courteous, knowledgable and fixed my rigs as right as rain. There's a $90 diagnostic fee that must be paid up front, but if you're like me and you're full of anxiety over yet another computer breakdown, that's a small price to pay especially when their success rate in solving my problems has been 100% so far. Three times, I brought my laptop to Computer Repair Shoppe, and when I brought it home it crashed within hours of banal use (web browsing, watching a YouTube video). While I certainly understand that issues can be challenging to diagnose, my experience raises serious concerns about the thoroughness of Computer Repair Shoppe's diagnostics, especially when the next repair service I used was able to identify a motherboard issue (apparently missed during the many days that Computer Repair Shoppe kept my laptop) right away. They promise "Best Service Ever or It's Free!" but my experience has been that they do not mean it.
