We'll I was greeted by a very friendly and knowledgeable store associate who looked over my sons I-Phone 8 which was severely cracked . He said he can repair the phone for $45 even tho it wasn't the $29 as advertised it was still a fantastic price! Brought our laptop in for a new keyboard because keys were sticking was told it take 3 to 4 days. First they somehow got the wrong keyboard from HP then it took over 12 days to get it back A few weeks after I got it back the headphone jack shorted out because they didn't reconnect it Brought it back in and they fixed it. 2 weeks later stated having intermittent audio problems Brought it back in again and was told a board went bad. The laptop is 2 years old there is no way a board went bad. They wanted an additional 50 dollars to fix it. Told them to put back together and I picked it up. AWESOME! The people here are consistently top tier! Excellent service, very friendly and detail oriented. They are able to explain problems and solutions very well. Came and got two phones fixed (iphone7 and iphone 8plus). They fixed the Iphone7 perfectly However, my screen when they fixed it (iphone8plus) looked fine, but when I got home... the contrast was completely off on my phone. The pictures looked super weird and fuzzy and the colors were just off. Don't know what happened. Told them and they fixed it for free. Good value but should of checked the phone before making me drive back and forth to come get it fixed (4 trips). read more

Took my ipad in for free diagnostics. The ipad was not charging and we told them if it is too expensive to fix, then we will just buy a new unit. Called on the day they requested to inquire about diagnosis. They told us they were not ready and needed another day. Called the next day and they said the battery was fine, but charge would be $350 for new DC jack because they would likely break the screen during the removal and replacement. I told them we would pick up the ipad that day (unrepaired) and just buy a new one as the expense was exorbitant. Upon arrival at the store, the manager proceeded to yell and use every vulgar profanity because he felt we insulted him by saying he was too stupid to fix the ipad (we never said this, nor implied this). During his screaming rant we kept quietly asking for our ipad. The manager stated that if we wanted it back we would need to call the police. So we did. After an hour waiting in the car, the Orange County Sherriff (Deputy Murphy) called the store and told them that if they did not return my ipad, they would go to jail. The manager was conveniently out running errands by this time and the Deputy stayed on the phone while we retrieved the ipad. NEVER do business with this company. I was afraid for my safety. I was emotionally attacked. Completely unprofessional behavior. Shameful! Follow up - We went to place a complaint with the Better Business Bureau - this store is NOT BBB accredited and has a C+ rating. I would strongly suggest NOT using this company. read more

Called with a hard drive issue Mike answered the phone said no problem bring it by, which I did. Told him the issue he gave me two options free diagnosis which would take 1-2 days or a "rush" for $29.99 that they would stop what they are doing and crack open my laptop to diagnosis the issue. No problem take my money! Said come back in about 2 hours or we will call you. About an hour and 45 mins later I stopped back by and they were just finishing the diagnosis and my hard drive was saved! Yeah! They gave me some options as it was older and I decided to not upgrade. Mike said no problem let us know if we can help you in the future. They reattached my hard drive I knocked off its platform amd out of 2 screws in a few minutes and I was out of there with a repair bill less than $90. Thank you Mike for your suggestions and saving my hard drive. Mile and CSI is my goto place now. read more

So I bring my Gaming laptop to them about a month ago and hope they will get it fixed. The problem was the laptop kept charging and discharging rapidly. So I wait for a month hoping they will get it fixed but no. However, I'm okay with they can't fix it. Then I came to pick up my laptop and guess what missing screws and missing one of my 8GB of ram not only that when I get home I open my laptop out they didn't right the CPU screw so I have to do it but I still think might give them 3-4 star because they have good service when calling and let me know how everything goes. They replaced my MacBook computer screen $452.76 later. The "district manager" was very rude and I will not be coming back here. For $100.00 more I should have just got it fixed at the Apple store, for what I dealt with at this store. I took my computer in on September 23rd and was told that I would get a call from a technician with the cost and if I wanted to move forward then they would go ahead and replace my screen for me. Almost 2 weeks went by and I didn't hear a thing. My fault for not following up. They then called and said they found a screen and told me the price. I told them I can't afford that right now and that's more than I actually bought the computer for. I asked them to close the computer up and put it back in my case and I will pick it up. They then explained that my computer is hard to find screens and they found a great deal on a screen so they went ahead and ordered it and if I didn't purchase I might not find another one fir the same price so I did feel pressured into getting my screen fixed by them at this point. They took forever to fix (turn around time) and then they threatened to recycle my computer in which I reported it stolen in case they tried selling it because we never signed a contract. The district manager then tells me the contract is verbal that we made but I never talked to him a day in my life until it was time to pick my computer up. Then the Apple was scratched up severely which leads me to believe the screen was super used. This so called district manager is very childish and I could not believe he was talking to me how he was talking to me after I paid all that money in his store. When I complained (in a calm, non physical way) the clerk called the police to report me for trespassing. That pretty much takes the cake for worst customer service. These guys are amazing. Apple told me my MacBook needed a new logicboard (Motherboard) and it would cost me $695 and it takes at least 7 days to fix it. It didn't feel right to me so I wanted a 2nd opinion. I went to these guys per recommendation from a friend who has been to them several times. They opened it up, unplugged the battery and when they plugged it back in it worked just fine. They confirmed it's a common issue due to older battier or sometimes software issue and I should reinstall the operating system and it's not a motherboard issue. They charged me nothing and said I could just leave them a nice review or recommend them to my friends. Very honest people, they just saved me almost $700. I have had nothing but great experiences with Tim at CSI! Both my wife and I work from our computers in our home and need quick response to computer issues that occur. CSI has been there to help fix network issues, operating system issues, virus issues. It has been like having our own IT support person on staff. Tim from CSI even came to our house and set up our home network with a mirrored back up drive and network printers so that we can have a safe environment that work with our system. Tim has had plenty of opportunities to up-charge us or overcharge for services however the service has always been quick and inexpensive. Several times I have taken my computer in for minor problems that they have been able to correct while under the free diagnostic mode. Very simple things..a drive came unplugged and several other issues. No charge. I would imagine anywhere else would have charged a nominal fee for at least the time they invested in diagnostic mode. This week, computer needed to be upgraded. Took it in ,they had it several days. Called me today , it was ready. When I picked it up the youg man said the registry had been the issue but they fixed it. AND...(get this) ..they did not charge for the registry fix only the upgrade..even though they had spent 3 days working on it they DID NOT CHARGE ME!! I love this place..the staff is nice, the owner is repectful and courteous ( I think he is the owner). I will ALWAYS take my computer and anything else to them for repair first. We're so glad we came here, as a business owner, we can't afford to hire our own IT personal, but we have a lot of devices which needed some attention, I initially dropped off my personal MacBook with CSI for repair after a liquid damage, and they did a fantastic Job fixing the laptop and most importantly saving all my data. I was very impressed with their expertise, so we hired them to fix our office desktops and secure our network. In the past we used geek-squad IT support to setup our server and desktops...etc. but we kept getting viruses on the employees desktops and we had to call best buy all the time to come out and clean them again, once we hired CSI they did a full audit and we were able to discover all the issues which previous IT techs failed to address or explain to us, apparently the server was not installed properly, we did not have a domain network, they were running it as home network, we did not have cloud back, and the server did not have an anti virus installed on it, the worst part was that the genius geek squad technician gave full access to our sensitive data on the server to all the employees and anyone who has access to our Wifi. CSI Computers setup our server Domain network as it should've been done in the first place and gave our employees limited access, installed an anti virus panel which allow us to monitor all the desktops and the server right form my PC at work or my MacBook at home, setup remote connections between my laptop, office PC and the server, created a continuous back up to the cloud, secured our WIFI and the entire network. We signed up with CSI monthly maintenance plane 6 months ago and we are very happy to say we had zero viruses since then, we saved a lot of money buy hiring them to manage our network and anytime the employees or I have issues we call them and they can remote in and take care of things right away. The district manager Nicholas came to our office today to do a full checkup on our network and see how we like the service they provided to us in the past 6 moths so I decided to share my experience buy posting this review. Very dishonest. I asked for my current simulator computer to be hooked up such that it would be able run an online game , i-racing. They took the computer and called me stating it would cost 3681.71 dollars. As instructed, I gave them my AMEX card and asked for a written list of the computer which upon receiving, the next day. I said it was too much. They will not refund my money , which was never authorized, never signed for. Yes , I am suing. I wish I was warned of their dishonesty before using them. Data doctors in Dr. Phillips rewired it for the price of their house call and it now works great. read more

Serious trust issue, incompetent and justified charges of $80 for doing nothing when I went to them saying my internet was not working on a single computer. Do not go here. All I had to do was to reset my modem and router combo from Spectrum and Voila the internet works ! I am actually very knowledgeable about the computers, if I was a layman, I wonder how nicely they would have cheated and gotten away with all this. But here the story goes : I have internet from spectrum and I can connect my desktop and laptop, just plug and play. I had bought another PC (calling it PC2 onwards) on it I installed ubuntu. Once I connected PC2, it worked just like that, but then I don't remember what changed and it stopped working. I went to this place CSI and explained the "technician" guy that could you just check and find out why its not working, tell me if its software or hardware fault since they advertised "free diagnostics". Next day I got a call from him, telling me that he "fixed it" and now the internet is working fine. I asked what was the problem and what did you fix ? He was just spun some statements, never getting to the point. I went in the evening at 6.30 pm to collect my PC that same day and asked him what was the issue ? He said to me, he had to make some settings adjustments, somethings, and I asked him again, what settings ? He told me he does not have time today, and gave me a bill of $80. I said $80 without diagnostics, he said we normally charge $120 but since he had to do "less work", its $80. Really ? I said maybe its ok. I brought the PC2 home and plugged and imagine my surprise when I get the same connection failure message. At that point I had my suspicions that there was no problem with the PC it has to do with my internet settings. If that is the case then what did the "CSI technician" fixed ? I wrote an serious "contact us" form that I found from their broken website describing the lack of trust I have for the services offered and the "fix" done to my PC to whoever is the manager of this place that I will be posting a review about this incident. The manager, called me next day. He seem pleasant at first then he quickly became irate, when I kept on insisting tell me what was the problem ? He became more furious because I keep "interrupting" him on the phone call, he expects others to listen without any verbal push backs or interjections. He said the technician who he has personally taught is not allowed to share what was "fixed" to the customer. I said this is a difficult conversation to have on the phone, lets meet, and asked him if on Saturday he is ok to meet at Dr. Philips location. I met him today(10/27/2018) at 2.07 pm, at first he was trying damage control that too with a wrong attitude. He told me that his employee was very upset and he had to drive from far way, and that does not like be interrupted when he is talking since that is disrespectful. Hey Mr.Manager Customer first? He showed no real intent of refund despite mentioning it on the phone on the previous day. From his perspective, his boy, the technician, did everything by the book, which means he blindly followed his instructions to the last dot, and that is what makes him justified in charging me with $80. I need to warn other customers that among things he said, one was, "If I click a single button and it fixes your issue" then its ok to charge full service fee. He described to me as a grand gesture and with all that smooth talk that his technician had to "install" new drivers. But I had installed the ubuntu OS 18.10 just 2 days ago through a bootable USB I had, and that didn't have the latest freaking drivers ? He was also spinning web after web, and never admitting that really there was no issue with the hardware or the software of my PC, it was the internet connections settings all along. Clearly I felt cheated. When I mentioned I will be writing an honest review as I see it, he said you can write 1000 reviews and even call the police. Who said anything about calling the police ? Now I am angry While I understand that the manager was describing to me that he pays premium for being at such a location, I shouldn't be taking into account if he is renting or he owns that shop, should I ? That is not a variable I need to consider in my assessment of his service to me, right ? What ideally should have happened is that he should not have charged me for doing nothing, but have said that hey we tested it and there is no problem with the hardware or the "drivers" or software, it must be with your internet connection that may not be working with automatic dchp so try contacting spectrum. Horrible service, atleast I would completely avoid them even if they are the last repair shop in town, I prefer UBreakIFixit at the Dr. Philips Marketplace, I had done some work previously with them, but this time the guy I talk to at UBreakIFixit was on a leave for a few days that is why I gave CSI a try and got burned. Very bad service and OVER PRICED. Took my computer in for repair and KNEW what had to be done...replace of keyboard and touch pad. Left $200 as a deposit. Came back after couple weeks and product was not repaired and part was not even ORDERED. In addition, they had no record that I had left a $200 deposit. They finally replaced keyboard with one that was lighted not knowing that a lighted keyboard would not light up the keyboard on my computer. WOW. Estimated cost they told me would be about $500. Touch pad WAS NOT repaired. Their excuse...they said I didn't ask for the touch pad to be repaired (although I already knew it did) or that they probably told me to wait and see it the touch pad would work with the new keyboard (hmmmm why would I do that when I KNEW the touch pad was bad AND REPLACING IT WAS WHAT I WANTED and wouldn't have wanted to wait?). They said they would order a touch pad but that would be another $100. Now I'm looking at $600 or more!!! Oh yeah, and that I still have to prove that I left a $200 deposit...they had no record of it. Fortunately American Express did. SHOP ELSEWHERE!!! THERE ARE PLENTY OTHER COMPUTER REPAIR LOCATION. IT'S EXPENSIVE RENTING IN DR. PHILLIPS...PERHAPS THAT EXPLAINS THEIR PRICES. HOWEVER, IT DOESN'T EXPLAIN THEIR INDIFFERENT' ATTITUDE. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY. Last year brought in two laptops my primary and my backup. I picked up my primary and completely forgot about them also having my backup laptop until my primary lap top has some issues again and I realized my backup laptop was never returned, nor did they tell me they had it. Now they claim they don't know where it is and tell me after 30 days computer are recycled but claim they keep no records for this. The Orange County eSheriffs Office calls it theft a matter I am now pursuing but because of them being a business and no one person responsible, my on,y recourse may be a civil one. Dropped of my primary laptop this past week and was called Friday and told it was a virus and it would be ready Saturday and the. Charge would be $99. I didn't make it in on Saturday to pick it up so went today and not on,y was it not ready because they claim they were fixing the mouse touch pas, which I don't remember being broken, nor did I authorize them to perform this work and now they want to charge me $199.99 and are hold I got my computer hostage until I pay them their new charge because they claimed they did work which I did not authorize if it was even broken in the first place. I was recently laid off but bought the company laptop that I'd been using for the past four years. I just hated the thought of having to buy a new pc especially knowing it would be loaded with Windows 8. However the company scrubbed all the software from my laptop before giving it to me and alleged to have downloaded all my personal files. However when I got the laptop home I couldn't get it to boot up. I did a little research on line and read the review about CSI which were very good and they are only 5 minutes from my house. I called and spoke to Feras who was very comforting on the phone and exuded competence. I took it straight to him late in the afternoon. And by the next morning he had the laptop all squared away (former military lingo for in tip-top shape). I couldn't be more pleased and highly recommend CSI to anyone who is having problems.
