He also sells custom IPT boxes which I looked into getting for a gift for parents. I only wish doctors and other professionals you deal with were as communicative, involved, and personable as Tim was with upgrading my computer. He recommended parts (sending me links), bought some for me, and kept me updated on every step (even outside his business hours). Price was exponentially better than anything GeekSquad, or anyone else could do. He won't recommend unnecessary things either, and knows the best value products. He was able to do both jobs super quick as well. Central location in Milk District was great as well (in a Star Wars/80s figurine ship), when you have to go down there. I found them to be utterly unreliable--getting a response to questions and requests required multiple e-mails, calls, and texts over weeks-long periods. When they did reply, they often failed to include critical information or answer direct questions / requests I had posed. On top of their sloppy communication (which certainly carries over to their website), they failed to correctly diagnose, let alone resolve, the issue that led me to bring my computer to them in the first place. Three times, I brought my laptop to Computer Repair Shoppe, and when I brought it home it crashed within hours of banal use (web browsing, watching a YouTube video). While I certainly understand that issues can be challenging to diagnose, my experience raises serious concerns about the thoroughness of Computer Repair Shoppe's diagnostics, especially when the next repair service I used was able to identify a motherboard issue (apparently missed during the many days that Computer Repair Shoppe kept my laptop) right away. They promise "Best Service Ever or It's Free!" but my experience has been that they do not mean it.
