It is located in the Waterford Towers shopping plaza and is by South Beach Tanning Company. Honestly, I have never even noticed this place. They are slightly lacking in inventory but they still have a great selection and hold fair prices. Great, friendly, and honest employees who work there. I've been a gamer since I was 6. Even before the original Atari consoles, so I'm always happy to check out a retro store with a long history of consoles and games. If you're a fan like me, go check out Gamer's Inc on Alafaya Trail near UCF in Orlando. First, Logan helped me today and I have to say, the BEST customer service service I've had in a long time. Logan is friendly, knowledgeable, and is a gamer through and through. Really liked talking classic games and retro systems. The store has a very wide selection from every PlayStation, X-Box, Nintendo, and Sega platform. Every platform! They have access to numerous consoles from the Cube, NES64, PS1, and even a Genesis! I found numerous games for my PS3 versus finding a handful of titles in other stores. I get it and understand GS stays modern but it's a little frustrating when you're looking for classics. If that's you, go to Gamer's Inc. For me it was well worth the 40 minute trip. Once again, thanks Logan. My girl and I will definitely be back. read more

I bought an n64 from them during their $64 for a 64 sale with a few games. n64 stopped working after only a year of use and they said it would be $90 to fix it as the entire motherboard would need replacing without looking at it. one of the n64 games, harvest moon, I found was actually a bootleg copy and when it was sold to me it was not advertised as such. I opened the game myself and there is no Nintendo on the board and no indented numbers on the back and the Nintendo logo has a circle for the i and not a square. I wasn't well versed in games when I bought it, but it was brought to my attention recently. I've been told I'm not the only one who has bought counterfeit games from them. I'd be wary of buying if you aren't as knowledgeable about checking games like I was at the time cause they might try to do one over on you. read more

You can even try some of the games and/or consoles available since they have at least, 4 different consoles on with different games which they switch around, at least weekly. This place changed a BUNCH for the better. I remember coming in here a couple of years ago and feeling really looked down upon by the staff. If I had a question, I was either "helped" with an annoyed monotone or a stifled laugh because... I don't know, I guess not knowing the name of certain cables and attachments makes me a plebeian fool? I avoided coming to this place like the plague for the longest time, but decided to return for curiosity's sake after learning that the previous staff had been replaced. Ever since the place changed owners, I can tell that they've had them focusing on making a more pleasant customer service experience. The weekend staff is so friendly and full of energy (I'm talking about YOU, Daniel), the shelves are always full and neat (except for the game guides. Most are well-used, so they unfortunately look like a frayed mess), and their selection is so wide, they even have some room for collectible goodies. The prices are a little rough, but they do try their best to price below GameStop for newer titles. I thought the retro games were pretty costly, but honestly, it's usually close to the cost as if I were to get them on eBay and include shipping. Can't really fault them for that if they're trying to make a profit. If there's anything close to negative I have to say, it's probably that the place is getting a little too popular again? Because there are so many people coming in, having only two people running front desk at a time leaves the risk of customers waiting a long time for a simple transaction, since they also handle repairs and the like. Maybe have someone who doesn't run a register that goes around answering questions? Not sure, but I do get sad when I see somebody who has been waiting in line just sigh and walk off because front desk is still working on testing a traded-in console. Short version for those with short attention spans: Poor customer service...wouldn't let me see condition of games at checkout. Also, definitely high prices. I very very rarely feel a need to write a review and I usually only do it when I want to rave about a business. But after today's interaction at Gamer's Inc., I'd like to make other retro gamers aware. I had a stack of 10+ games I was ready to buy so long as the discs weren't trashed. Most were from the "bargain" shelf, but some were not. The staffer kept implying that because they were on the "bargain" shelf inspecting them wasn't an option and he reiterated there is no warranty. Well, "no warranty" MIGHT be a reason why a customer would want to inspect before paying. When pressed on it he said the price is based on the condition of the case. What?! So when I stated, "look, the 'low' price doesn't change how I feel about buying a used game. I want to see what it looks like because I don't want to buy a crappy disc that may not work." he said he understood, but he still wasn't willing to let me see the discs. I have NEVER had any retro or current game store (not even GameStop) refuse to let a customer see the condition of a USED game prior to purchase. On top of the fact their pricing is higher than other retro games stores, this interaction means I won't be planning to shop here again. If you don't mind paying higher prices, this store is closer to you than others, and you don't like eBay/Offer Up, then this store may work for you. read more

I had been driving right by it for who knows how long. They have tons of old school games and also game consoles. They also repair consoles. The employees are super nice and always willing to help. If you're into old school games and systems then you should check this place out. I wouldn't come here looking for a specific game, if you're doing such you should call before hand. Their game selections change from time to time, sometimes they have better games. It honestly all depends, the store is well kept and is very well organized. An awesome gamer spot with fun game stations and lots of old school video games. My wife and I randomly stopped in Gamers while we were over shopping in the Waterford area. It is located in the shopping plaza across from the main Waterford Lakes shopping plaza near the BWW. It doesn't have a ton of signage and is near another game store (which is focused more on board and card games), so you may have to look to find it. However, if you like video games, this place is definitely worth checking out. The store has 3 walking aisles with various games set out on shelves on the walls and in the center part of the store. The first thing you will see (and be drawn to) once you walk in are the various game stations. They have approximately 8-12 gaming stations throughout the store, ranging from an old Nintendo system up to the newest X-Box and Playstation systems. They had "Zombies Ate My Neighbors" playing at the Super Nintendo station and a Duck Hunt station with the old Nintendo gun up near the counter! It was great being able to play these games from my youth again. What made it even better was that they have a wide range of games for each particular game system surrounding the game station. While you could find cheaper prices on Amazon and a more expansive selection at other bigger stores like Gamestop, the games were still relatively cheap and the attendant was more than willing to help us find anything we need without being creepy or overbearing. The entire experience was so fun and relaxed that I would definitely come back here if my wife or I needed to buy a retro video game in the future. Overall, Gamers is an awesome little video game store. While I'm not much into video games anymore, it is definitely worth checking out if you are into old school video games or just want to play some old school Nintendo. Just know that my Duck Hunt score is going to be pretty hard to beat. read more

The staff here don't use sanitizers frequently and complain if you touch stuff while shopping. They charge full retail prices on used games that aren't complete with the original package. Those same games are factory sealed elsewhere and are selling for less money. This store used to be great with the previous owner. The new owner only has 2 employees who don't understand marketing strategies for selling games to customers. This has become the go to spot to spend a little free time with my kids as they've gotten into retro gaming. There's a lot to see inside of this shrine to video games and a great place to grab some merchandise for any collector. The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable and they charge fair market prices for everything. They have warranty period on their previously owned merchandise and all games that come through get thoroughly tested and cleaned. I was looking for an older video game and since I needed it the same day (as much as you can "need" a Nintendo 64 game...), eBay wasn't an option. I wrote to three different Orlando game stores' Facebook pages and Gamers Inc. was the only one to respond. They had the game and were able to hold it for me until I got there that evening. The price was comparable with what I saw on eBay, but I didn't have to pay for shipping. Their return policy seemed fair (all games are tested, but if it doesn't work you can bring it back for store credit). Before paying for the game, I browsed the store a little. It's about the size of a standard Gamestop, but with sections geared towards older systems, from the original Nintendo, Sega, and GameBoy to current systems. They even had a few emulator systems for sale that let you play the older games. Great chance to travel back in time and see some classics. It seemed that most of the games for sale did not come with original packaging, just the cartridge. I noticed a lot of reviews here didn't like the service. From my experience, they were quick to respond to my FB messages and in person they were helpful. read more

Gamers inc is amazing it is definitely a one of a kind store and I keep coming back always and I always leave very happy. the prices are sometimes a little over priced, but its forgivable because of the employees attitude toward customers and the place is in Waterford lakes which means because of stupid college kids and corporate businesses jacking up prices on them which also mean that building owners have to charge more to rent. Surprising why a lot of people that write stuff here about higher prices do not have common sense. Couple things that I do like about the place is that there are always games playing from different systems. The staff knows everything about everything, even knew some stuff that I didn't even know. The game selection is either hit or miss sometimes I could find treasures in my eyes, but to other people..... no. The artwork and the background music some people say they try to hard and other people say they love it. I am one of those people that love it. This place is a nice place to check out. My first impressions of gamers is the large selection of retro games ranging from Nintendo 64 to the snes to classic gameboy games. Continuing my walk, I found more just games and accessories, I found a lot of rare and hard to find collectibles, which was nice to see. One of the major things that sets gamers apart from every other retro video games store is the incredible staff. The staff at gamers are knowledgeable and kind, they have the genuine feel of real video game lovers and collectors; The kind that appreciate all type of games and collectibles. Although I did find some items a lil pricey, I wouldn't mind paying that because of the service and all around supporting a great local business. I would spend my money here before going to GameStop or any other shop. I've been here a few times and I almost always come out empty handed because, while the selection may be pretty good, the prices are quite abhorrent. 99% of the time, if they have something priced as $55, it's not worth anymore than $30-$40 on eBay. This trend runs throughout the store. If they have it, it's more than likely you'd get a better deal if you bought it off eBay. Don't get me wrong, I've bought stuff here before, but they were always things that were priced wrong for one reason or another. They don't change their prices as far as I can tell, so while you may sometimes find a game priced cheap because it's price spiked recently (pretty much the only reason I still come in every once in a while), most of the time it means year-old triple AAA games for $50 despite being already close to worthless. Also, their trade ins are a fucking joke. In my experience they've actually offered me less than Gamestop, so make sure to compare prices before giving anything to them. They aren't always giving cash, they only give about 20%-30%, and the best part of all: their "15% more than our competitors" is not even true. You have to show them the price, which rules out everyone but Gamestop, but even then, I brought in a couple games once, and they honored for one of them, but not for the other. Why? Well the other game was an older Call of Duty game that Gamestop was still giving $7 for at the time. The first thing he did when I put it on the counter was tell me he'd give me a dollar for it. I showed him the Gamestop price, and he said it was too scratched (PS3 disc btw, also it wasn't) and they wouldn't take it anyways because it would just sit on the shelf (yeah no shit). I understand his reasoning, but DON'T ADVERTISE THAT YOU MATCH PRICES IF YOU'RE NOT GOING TO HONOR IT FOR EVERY GAME. Seriously, if you try to trade stuff in, they WILL try to scam you. Always have some values in your head before trading any game away to them. Otherwise, most of the staff are nice, a couple can be dicks, but overall they're pleasant to talk to. I just can't recommend this store over quite literally every other option, even Gamestop has better prices than them for the most part. They seem to attract the "durr gamestop bad" crowd a lot but seriously, always check your alternatives, I've gotten way more good deals from Gamestop than from here. There are also better retro video game stores in the area, but I'm not gonna name names. But seriously, if you want something you can probably find it on eBay or at Gamestop or another local game store for less than at Gamers Inc. read more

By far one of the best video game stores I've been to! If I ever have any questions regarding the status of a repair or just a general question about an item, then I'm always helped by the amazing staff, such as Mr. Connor or Mr. Jake. The store is very clean and you can really get a sense of an enjoyable environment with the awesome retro gear. I would say that the prices are very affordable compared to GameStop and I'm never pressurized into buying anything here. It's a rather big location with great items to purchase or simply have a chat with coworkers about video games in general. Not only did he swap it out but he made it seem like and sound like it was a brand new system. Not only were there prices right, but the sheer nostalgia was worth it!
