It's so great to see this place flourish. I use to go here years ago before anime an vintage games were popular shun, and it'd have one worker and a customer or two. Cybertron is THE place for modern and retro gaming. Their staff are friendly and knowledgeable, (like, trivia-expert level knowledgeable, seriously just stand there and listen sometime), and their prices are better than others for sure. They are my go-to for SNES, GB, and PS5. Gian and Logan are awesome and always help me out with my collection. Went there today to pick up a Super GameBoy for my SNES and a couple games. Now I have all day to play! Seriously, screw eBay. With Cybertron, I can take a short drive, browse their selection, pick up some cool titles, get some good game advice, go home, and play all day! I've been coming here since 2015 and this place honestly used to be great with amazing pricing. However, this is no longer the case. Ever since Covid-19, the prices have gone up, which is understandable because back then demand was going way up. I don't have a problem with that. What i DO have a problem with, is that since then, the prices have not been adjusted back down to market value. In fact, they have jacked them up even HIGHER. I mean the prices here are absolutely outrageous. For example, they're charging $50 for heavily used PS4 controllers when you can get them brand new at gamestop for that same price. They also are not doing good quality control. I have bought a PS2 that doesn't read discs, an xbox one controller that the RB didn't work, games that didn't read/play all the way through, and more. How are you going to charge significantly more for an inferior product? And the fact you are selling third party accessories for the same price as OEM is outrageous... And don't get me started on the pricing for your used consoles. They are charging significantly more for consoles than the prices i can find online easily. In some cases $50+ And they're still trying to charge 500-600 for a PS5 and Xbox series X... USED!!! I can get one locally for $400 nowadays. Ridiculous.. Don't get me started on the employees. Sometimes they are nice but recently everyone there seems to be in a bad mood and they give you dirty looks and won't talk to you unless they are spoken to first. Maybe they know the place is BS too, lol. Also, they recently started selling FAKE reproduction gameboy games. This is unethical and ILLEGAL. What a terrible business decision, this just makes them look even more shady. JEEZ... Unless you want to get scammed i don't recommend coming here. I will try to limit my business here in the future. I am very dissatisfied with the direction this business is going in, as a VERY long time customer of 8+ years. The store is well-organized. Prices are for the most part slightly above eBay. The reason I am giving Cybertron 1 star review is because they sell "reproduction" video games. This is not only unethical, but highly illegal. These are fake, counterfeit games. This would be equivalent to going in a Macy's department store and buying a fake designer handbag. Nintendo will almost assuredly never crack down on the selling of these counterfeit retro games, but it is such a horrendous business decision to sell counterfeit items when Nintendo could sue your small business to oblivion. I won't be returning to Cybertron and I would encourage you not to shop at a video game store that knowingly sells fake, illegal games. read more

Really great store. It was large and they had s huge selection. One of the games I was interested in was pretty scratched. He cleaned it while we continued to shop. So Im so mad I forgot to write this the same day but I must still tell about my experience. We bought the old RockBand Video game about 2 weeks ago. Family night came up and when we tried to play none of the instruments would work. We called to see if Cybertron had any suggestions and after failed troubleshooting Sebastian offered to test everything in the store. In a hurry I packed up my PS3 and rushed over there to save family night! Sebastion remembered my face and started helping my as soon I walked in. I thought I was just going to leave with a refund and a no RockBand but Sebastian did EVERYTHING he could and got it working!!! He even helped me lug the instruments back to the car. I've had nothing but great experiences at Cybertron. Their game selection is so expansive and most are fairly priced. Whenever I've needed a hard-to-find game I've come here. I've never bought a console from here but they appear have any you could want. This review is mainly for repair, though. I've never had the need for any console repairs before. I recently acquired a Switch that needed a new part. Kat at Cybertron said the piece for $43 dollars and that the entire replacement would cost $60. The price was super fair, the repair was done quickly once the part came in, and the staff was extremely helpful along the way. This place is the place for gamers as they have a great selection of current top hits as well as an amazing selection of retro gaming systems and games. I've always received great service here and all of the products are amazing. I've only lived in Florida for a short time but I'd much rather visit this establishment over a place like GameStop where everything feels robotic. 4 stars for friendly employees and a good selection of games. My husband and I came here after being unable to locate Rune Factory Frontier at the stores near our house. After calling everywhere, they were the only store who had it! We wanted to support a local business, and I was pleased they were open on a holiday (MLK). We called in advance and the employee who answered was very helpful. She even put the game on hold for us since they didn't have very many copies left. Also, she told us the hours listed on Yelp were wrong. Once we arrived, the store was clean, but a bit cluttered. However, it had a lot of fun stuff to look at and was easy to maneuver around. There were two employees present, and they were also both very polite. The prices also seemed very reasonable. The game was only $24 (compared to $20 on Amazon) and much cheaper than GameStop or any of those other places. Overall, this is a solid place to buy games and run by very nice people. I've been looking forward to checking this shop out for some time, and today I finally made it in....the selection of vintage systems and games they have is impressive, however the customer service/sales is worse than horrible!!! When I walked in, I was the only customer in the store....there were 3 employees. I was inside for 5-10 minutes, browsing (with $200-300 burning a hole in my pocket I might add!!) and no one said a word to me. I asked about a specific product and was given a short answer and then ignored. I browsed a bit longer, and then decided I had no desire to spend my money there. Super unfriendly!! I've only been once, but they were on point! Still own an old school NES. It was doing that thing where, you're trying to Mario 3 but every time you hit power, the red light flashes and the screen is glitch crazy. Cybertron can replace the pins that actually read the cartridge which practically makes the system like brand new. Brought it in on a Monday, it was ready by the weekend. Very customer service oriented (they even polished up my machine!) and the price was surprisingly low (only $20 bucks!). Tons of trade in options, used games and new equipment all over the walls. Rare toys and old school throwbacks as well. I'm not a big gamer, but if you are...this place NEEDS to be on your radar. A winner is you! read more

Would just like to say this place has the absolute worst customer service I've ever had in my life, came in for my birthday and even brought my family with me cause we're all into games. Spent over a thousand dollars and I've had the fact that can't even test the consoles before they sell them to you is just crazy to me. I came back the day after buying the PlayStation because it wasn't working, they said I could leave it with them until July when their repair man gets back or take it to their Sanford location the same day which was another 30 minutes farther and it would be repaired that SAME day. I used to think this was a really cool place. Spent tons of money buying old games. Never had a problem, UNTIL I bought a Nintendo 64 system and games. Spent well over 150 dollars, and it did not work! I brought it back expecting a full refund since IT WAS BROKEN,but policy is store credit only. They did not have anymore Nintendo 64 systems. Now , I do not have the game I want but store credit so I cannot afford to go to Ebay to try and get it. This is bad business and outrageous. This place is awesome! I am from Maryland I wanted to visit a retro game store before I flew back home. I walked into Cybertron today and it totally put a smile on my face. They have items for every retro game system. There are brand new titles, retro sealed copies, complete copies and loose...you name it they have a mix of it. The best thing about the store is that it was nice clean and organized. Picked up a Sega Dreamcast (should of never gotten rid of my original), some N64 carts, and some Sega titles. I must say, this is one of the best video game stores that I have ever been to. First thing, the employees that were there were awesome. They were very friendly and helpful. I had some questions about some titles I was interested in and they really know their stuff. They carry everything from retro gaming all the way to the brand new stuff. Their prices are what you would expect for a retail store, so do not come in expecting 90's garage sale prices. They have bills to pay too :) They will help you find whatever you are looking for. The selection is amazing. Thousands and thousands of games can be found in here as well as systems and they do offer system repairs for very reasonable prices. There are even boxed retro games, and quite a few of them. As all game stores, they do rely heavily on trade ins and sales to them from customers but they do give decent store credit if you're sick of playing what you have and eBay is a horrible place to sell anything nowadays, same as Craigslist. The owner is sweet and friendly, and always backs the products he sells. They order items I request, assist me should I have a defective item, and answer any questions I might have.
