    Tv to play video games.
    Anais H.

I ran across this place on a friend's post on Facebook. The sodas looked good and reminded me of Archie comics, so I had to make the drive to try it. I came with my son and it turns out there are two business in one. Comic Controllers sells video game and fandom memorabilia (video games, consoles, custom covers/skins), stickers, t-shirts etc. The soda fountain side is called Pop Culture Soda Shoppe. The service is always friendly! They have retro gaming consoles set up in the back to play, as well as a tv and couches to play Switch, Wii and other video game consoles. There is also a table set up if you want to play card games or board games. Very cool place to hang out, have a yummy speciality fountain drink, cookies or pretzels and buy a cool souvenir! One of our favorite places to come to in Downtown Clermont!

This place is located in downtown Clermont. It's a quaint little place with free games to play as well as a diner-style bar to order drinks. I ordered the root beer (I believe it was called the Groot beer on the menu). The root beer was from a vendor I had never seen, which was unique. The float also came with pretzel sticks. Overall, the drink was what you would expect from a root beer float. Big plus though, the server gave me the rest of the root beer bottle to drink since the cup was already filled up. This is definitely a cool hangout place or something different to check out when you're walking the streets of downtown Clermont.

Wanted to come since my husband is a gamer, and we both love sweets. It's a great spot if you're a pop culture fan, like myself as well. Loved seeing the 90s collections of bits and bobs and items for sale beyond gaming interests. We don't live close enough to return on the regular, but would definitely stop by if in the area again.

I really like this concept. A place where locals can go, interact and game. I saw a several games sitting around while visiting on a Sunday late afternoon. They also have surgical game nights. The old fashioned beverage bar is a great concept too bringing me back to the OG Nintendo days...you know, Duck Hunt style. They also specialize in printing controllers for a hefty price. Be sure to furnish your own controller if you decide to customize. The artist did use a basic anime design and was very quick (less than a week) in responding with a design concept. This place is perfect for gamers!

Fun place to have some sweets like cookies, cheesecake, Jersey's fashion sodas, and for the gamers they have gaming consoles to play and enjoy an afternoon. Located in historic Clermont. Super cute area and store.

Very cool place! We didn't get anything to eat or drink we just came to look around and play video games. This place has so many games to play! Very unique spot to come to and have some family time. Even the bathroom was very cool! It was a super mario themed!

I haven't actually been here since my boyfriend and I broke up; however, I was in the area at beauty master and I decided to stop and see what they had and I'm so happy I stopped. I spoke to Gabe at the counter when he rang me up all the opened Funko's or four dollars so I snagged Mr. Oogie boogie. I will be cleaning him up and dusting him off and then I will be bedazzling him. Most of the comics I got besides from the two dollar comic were $.50 apiece and then he also bagged them up and put a paper backs in them as well for me. They sell them for I think $.15 apiece for the bags in the bags; they also own the store next-door, which is called last pack magic it is a trading card game store. If you are ever in the area, Mike's comics and collectibles has a wonderful selection of $.50 comics as well as comics that come out now I highly recommend stopping here. Gabe was super nice and gave exceptional guest service. 10/10

The staff was very friendly and helpful, which made the visit even better. While we wish they sold more masks and costume accessories, we were pleasantly surprised by how many cool items they did have. The store is very clean and well-organized. Highlights included the giant Gremlins and Pokémon vending machine, though sadly it was out of order, it was still fun to see! We also noticed a neat speakeasy out back that we definitely want to check out next time. Overall, this is a great spot for any nerd, collector, or cosplayer. We really enjoyed our visit and plan to come back!

They also had a nice selection of comics. My main collecting focus right now is old Mattel Secret Wars figures, while I didn't see any of those the Horror Figure section caught my eye. We ended up leaving with a set of Halloween 3 Toony Terrors and 2 of the 2012 Figures Toy Company reproduction Mego Mad Monster figures. All in all a solid shop we'll stop at whenever we're in town.

But upon arrival, I can tell that it was a pretty laid-back please. The desk clerk was very knowledgeable about the games and their history, as well as some nostalgic items that were available. They also have lots of Funko pops if you're into that type of thing. I even like the way they use the ticket gun to price various items in the store. It reminded me of the old school candy store with the little stickers label posted on it. The items look well cared for and wrapped very thoroughly and methodically. I believe lots of the items are fairly priced and not overwhelmingly expensive. I was most impressed with the miniature video game console that sat at the front counter that pre-dated the Atari. What surprise me most about this location is that they had a actual arcade in the back with various games from the 80s like contra, galaxa, pong, Qbert, dig, dug, streetfighter, or Pac-Man, and they even had a racing game. Even though it was not a very, very large arcade, It really did bring back quite a bit of memories.
