My son wanted to stop in to check it out. Lots of great items including comics, retro video games, Pokémon, Manga and many other items. The owner Joe was great. He greeted all of the regulars and was giving out tips and talking about special purchases. He spent time talking to us about where we were from and what we were interested in. He went into the back for a few minutes because my daughter asked for Supergirl, there wasn't much of a selection on the floor. He found a few items that she liked and made the extra sale because he went above and beyond. I even got to play Super Mario Brothers on the Super Nintendo that was set up. It's a great store. Good selection of video games, but the owner comes off as arrogant and rude. Quite confrontational, and it was difficult to resolve a minor dispute, and he was "Sorry I misunderstood him" as opposed to being sorry he wasn't clear. Despite this discrepancy, I noticed many of the games were generally overpriced, and if you were to look for similar products on eBay you would most likely fare better, with the additional pro of having better customer service. The rest of the staff are wonderful. The owner, however, certainly has an issue with hospitality and communication, which made an experience that should have come with ease a difficult and contrived one. For physical locations, there are better ones in the area than this. read more

Been to the location once and didn't get any customer service from the older fellow there because he was busy upselling s&v packs to a father who clearly didn't know much about Pokemon. Didn't bother to say I'll be right with you or give me a moment or anything. I brushed this off as him just giving the current customer his full attention but I called today and simply asked if they buy cards to which the same man I seen when I went tells me "Only if I'm interested in them and they're not just pieces of cardboard" The tone was off putting but I understood what he meant and asked if there was a certain price range the cards had to be for him to be interested to which he responded "We actually play the game here" I'm not sure what this guys attitude is about or how playing a card game in a card shop has anything to do with buying cards but very subpar customer service overall. He mentioned that he was having a terrible day when he picked up the phone maybe dealing with that yourself and giving customers some more respect and class would help brighten your day. Was definitely contemplating still going and offloading some of my illustration rares for cash but I don't think I'm interested anymore after that interaction sinked in. read more

A fun comic shop in the Ocoee area. The entrance is unassuming so it can be overlooked if you aren't paying attention for it. They do have signage outside, so that helps! They do a free comic day monthly - so follow their social media for announcements and such. We went in while we were in the area for a yoga event. We were welcomed by staff and the husband bought a few D&D cards for his decks. They had better pricing than the same cards online, so it was a good deal, and no waiting for shipping! :) The store has a mix of items: comics, cards, stickers, POPs!, apparel and more. Placed a order on 4/9/2020 paid in full and never got it mailed out. But almost 2 months later I sent him negative feedback on Ebay so he calls my personal phone number yelling at me to remove it. I then disconnected the phone call. He cares more about feedback saying the TRUTH then sending something out that I paid for. I then tried to call back the next day hoping he was more relaxed so the owner picked up the phone and told me to hold after I asked were was my order. He then put me on hold for 2 minutes till he hanged up on me and when I tried to call back he sent it to voicemail. This guy will rob you and is 100% a scam. I ordered $35.00 in books not including shipping cost and he robbed me out of it. Update: on 8/5/2020 I opened up a claim and as of 8/8/2020 I got a refund for 3 of 4 books. Don't know what is going to happen with the last book but it looks like I maybe out of that money. I what'd to leave a Yelp review because I'm still out of money because only 3 of 4 books was refunded. read more

I was really excited a couple of months ago when I saw the sign for this when I was going to the Creamery that is in the same plaza. I frequent the Creamery and That One Spot across the street, so I was super excited to have a comic shop so convenient to me, as I usually have to go out of my way when I want to visit a local comic shop. I finally got to visit today before a movie I was planning to see at the cinema in the plaza. The entrance is a bit strange, being located behind the plaza and having no view into the store from the outside--there are no windows into the shop except one on the door which was blocked out. Thankfully there was a sign on the door confirming that they were indeed open but even with that it felt strange to open the door because it seemed more like the entrance to a private office than anything else. But I was unperturbed by this... When I walked in, the people working there (or maybe just one of them was a customer, it was hard to tell) did not acknowledge that I had stepped into the store. There's no way they didn't notice because they weren't far from the door and the light coming in significantly brightened the room. No big deal though, maybe they were busy, so I started just looking around. Not a minute later a dude walks in and is greeted enthusiastically. I wondered if I wasn't being taken seriously as a customer because I'm a woman. I've obviously heard stories of women not being taken seriously in the comic book business but have never personally experienced it, naively assuming it was a thing of the past. I figured, maybe it was a coincidence, or maybe they knew each other. Another man walks in about a minute later and gets the same enthusiastic greeting. My presence has yet to be acknowledged. I'm starting to feel uncomfortable. The man is clearly not busy, just standing idly behind the counter. I wanted to leave right away, but I felt awkward so I just wandered around looking at the things that were on display. They do have a good selection of used video games and an okay selection of comic books. Finally, after about five minutes of being in the shop, I was looking at the "new" comics section, which was right by the cashier. Finally after looking at them for a minute he asked me if I was looking for this week's comics. I told him no, I was just looking around before my movie, and he told me they (understandably) didn't have this week's issues because of Hurricane Irma. No big deal, especially compared to having to wander around wondering if I was invisible for the minutes before. I gotta say I won't be back... and I sadly won't be able to recommend the place to my friends like I had hoped to. I really wanted this to be my new go-to comic shop but sadly if you're a woman I don't think this is the place for you. read more

What a nice shop! We stopped into this like center to get ice cream and my 14 year old son saw the sign for comics and video games. The shop is small but the gut that helped us was so nice to my two boys. My older son is a bit autistic and his "thing" is pokemon. He talked with him about pokemon and even gave him a couple free cards with his purchase! He was so excited to have a real conversation about pokemon and to be treated so well. The owner of the place is really friendly and recommended me Immortal Hulk which I actually enjoyed. The inside was very clean and the posters and toys displayed made the shop feel really nice. The store also has some old school games which brought back memories! The owner has a sign on the register saying how prices may change when rang up. I've been to loads of comic shops and never heard of that. The location of the shop is kind of hidden behind a plaza which wasn't hard to find, you just have to pay attention. read more

I order some comics on their ebay page, they say they don't sale on ebay but wrong they do I'm not the only one complaning about their ebay store. According to them the combine shipping but they did not and over charged me shipping. Try to contact them by ebay and IM but they ignore it, you can tell that they saw my IM. Then I called them, the first time they put me on hold for ten minutes and they hang up, call them back try to ask why they hang up the the so call owner was very rude and was bending over backwards that they only ship in Fl and that they don't sale in ebay. On top of this, there none ebay page has 100% good rate because evry time they get a negative feedback they get ebay to erase it. read more

My son loves the vintage video games here and Joe is very patient with him discussing the different games and systems. We have purchased many games from him. We bought one that ended up not working and Joe immediately took it back, let us choose a different game, and repaired the game we had purchased. Quite possibly the worst retro game store I have ever been to in my entire life. Staff is nice, however. The main issue with this store stems from their pricing for games. I understand game stores usually charge a little more than the online price, but there have been multiple instances where I ask the price of a game and the person working will tell me double or even triple the average sold price on eBay, citing things like "oh it's in mint condition". They will even look up the price in front of you because they won't put a tag on the product for reasons unknown. There have also been other instances where they will have games on the shelf and spend 20 minutes looking for the disc in the back only to come up empty handed. Very embarrassing and messy. The worst part, however, is their stock. It's barren sometimes, with games not being put on the shelves and rather in boxes under the front counter. Check it out if you are a comics or trading card game fan, but people looking for games stay away. The outrageous prices are more than enough to warrant driving a little further for a different store. read more

Was visiting family last week and was ready to get out of the house. So Since i'm a big old school gamer and love comics I got on Google and started searching around for places I can do a bit of shopping. So came across west Orange Comics and games so took a ride cause it was really close to where my Aunt & uncle live. So when i got there I saw they where in a shopping Plaza which gave me a ton of places to park. I was blow away with the vibrant colors and how clean the store was. They had a huge selections of comics & books so was really excited cause they Owner Scott got me hooked on some new Marvel comic story lines. Found some sweet shirts but being a big guy nothing fit but got a cool Groot shirt for the wife since she is addicted to him. The Game selection was great also. Everything from Classic NEs to new stuff on PS4 & Xbox One. Found a couple filler Titles for my Atari collection but that was about do to Space in my Suit Case. With that being said it was a great time being there with awesome helpful staff. Could have easily spend more vacation money in there lol. If your in the area I say give they a shot you won't be disappointed. read more
