I used to go to the Think Geek next door to this Gamestop for interesting gifts for the nerds in my life. Since that closed, I'm stuck with Gamestop for those nerdy needs, and it's an OK store with a Star Wars here and a Marvel there, Here a Darth, there a Darth, everywhere a Yoda. There's not much as far as trinkets, but they still have some. I wish they would have acquired more of the Think Geek March. I haven't bought any video games or gaming systems in a while, but they seem to have a decent selection of games both new and used. They have controllers with more than one button which is too much for me to remember. A/B L1 R1 L2 R2 D2 is too many to remember. And don't get me started on square, triangle, circle, circle, x. Bring back Pong! The staff is friendly and they even have a finger print reader for returns, so if you're returning stolen goods, you'll be busted like a dropped frozen carbonite package dropped by a bounty hunter. It's so weird how you can find some of the best things in Waterford lakes,from restaurants to random shops,but you can also find some of the worst businesses In the same shopping center,like This has to be one of the worst Gamestop locations,most of the staff is so slow,like they really hate working there,and since it's in Waterford lakes They get so busy,but then they are still understaffed most of the time,I use to come here all the time,when I used to collect pop bobble heads, as they have a pretty extensive selection of pop's,but I still come to this location because it's a few minutes away from my house,hopefully the management improves. read more

This location is the biggest gamestop in Orlando and usually have what I'm looking for. One time, they didn't have it in stock anywhere around me so the employee offered to have one transferred from another store. They called me in about a week and I was able to make my purchase. They also are the best when it comes to releasing new games, always fast and usually have a raffle (just posters and stuff leftover from other game releases) which is something not a lot of other stores do. The staff is usually always friendly and extremely helpful, one of the employees was telling me that they recently got a lot of management change so if you previously didn't like this store, I'd urge you to give it a second chance because the employees really do make the store. read more

This GameStop is in the Waterford Lakes Town Center. We frequent this store and it is always well-organized with incredible staff: Enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and great customer service. The store is small but even today on Black Friday their efficiency made all the difference and the volume was handled well. Storefront parking is hit or miss but there are plentiful parking opportunities in the general town center area. read more

This is your typical game store with a host of games for all the newest systems out. It's a cool store somewhere you can go to exchange or buy new games. I walked win and was not greeted by any associates, which is fine considering they were pretty busy with customers. Overall it's a store that I can use for a reference for my gaming needs. read more

The staff at all of the locations have always been helpful. We particularly enjoy this location, during the holidays the college kids (UCF is across the street) are home so they don't have a line out the door! The store manager Angel was very helpful when my son purchased his XBox One. He told us about all the add ons etc. which turned out to be quite a high value. As a parent I appreciate that despite my complete lack of knowledge on all things gaming....the staff takes the times to answer questions and give advice on game titles the kids have talked about, played, or asked for. Seldom do I find myself in a video game retail store and every time I do, I wonder why it exists. With digital downloads and cheaper prices online, the Steam model will surely put these places out of business one day. Gamestop is a catalog with walls. It's filled with unwelcoming employees that have a mediocre level in interest in really anything. Lines are long, game system demos broken, and warranty options abound (do people really buy these?). What happened to the delightful experience that I used to remember? Visiting Gamestop used to be like going to a Chuck E. Cheese. So sad to see the fatigue of the digital age taking so hard a toll on a business that can't out innovate itself out of a plastic case. read more

I've never understood all the hatred for GameStop. Yes, they buy low and sell high when it comes to used games - but isn't that what any business aims to do? Yes, they ask a lot of questions that can be a bit annoying. "No, I don't want to pre-order. No, I don't want to sign up for the membership card." But I've never come across any employees that have really pushed the issue once you've declined. I've been shopping at this location for years - and during this time, some employees *have* been those stereotypical annoying gamer fanboys. Every now and then, you come across that guy that just has to take every opportunity he has to tell you how much he hates the console you're buying a game for. But I've found that those employees don't seem to last long. The employees that I notice again and again here are friendly, knowledgeable and most importantly - helpful. They'll help you find the game that you, or the person you're buying for really wants - without the snide or sarcastic comments or the overinflated egos. It's not all sunshine and roses though. This location moved a few years ago from directly across the street. This storefront is at least twice as large as before (probably closer to three times the size) - and they now have two sets of registers - in the front and back. Still, they seem to usually only run the front registers. The problem is that on multiple visits, no one will be at the front registers. Head to the back looking for someone to ring you up and they'll tell you to go to the front... where no one is there. Wait another minute and someone will wander up. Finally, a tip for all the people who throw a fit about them selling "new" games in open boxes: don't bring the empty box up from the wall. I always just ask for a new game by name, and they'll pull it out of a drawer, cabinet or the back room. I've been doing this for years, and only maybe one time have I been asked to grab the box from the wall - and that was because it was literally (ok, supposedly) the last copy they had. read more

Best Gamestop around!!! The staff is knowledgeable and very friendly. This location is across the street from UCF, and the college students keep this store well stocked with used titles. I always find what I am looking for here. They also offer midnight launches on most triple A game titles. You never find the long lines of parents and kids buying the latest Pokemon or 10 year olds begging for the latest GTA. I had all but given up on Gamestop until I stumbled across this location. very recommended read more

I bought a steering wheel here with some pedals it is the tmx force feedback and the staff were nice one of the staff were on the phone and I was ok and the store is big I always go to the one in the east next to the golden restaurant that sells stuff o went here it was amazing then I Bought what I needed then payed left and I was happy with the item and also the staff members. read more

Lately, I've been trying to avoid these game stores since they prefer to pimp you used games over the new ones and will push you to pre-order everything, but out of most of the Orlando locations, this one is well-stocked. It can get a bit messy and crowded but with the selection they have, it's hard to beat this local store. Although, I'd rather get my games from Best Buy or Amazon nowadays. ^^ read more

This game stop had more merchandise than any other we've been to! The staff were friendly and quicjky rang up my games. Pretty quiet until a pair of young adults walked in. The two argued over whether or not to get a racing game based on the popular film Madagascar. Eventually one proceeded to purcgase the game along with what appeared to be two more children's games. Went into game stop tonight at 7pm and the bald male employee (didn't catch his name) was extremely rude and had a sassy attitude with me when I was trying to make a return and was not helpful whatsoever. Horrible horrible customer service!! I purchased a game for PlayStation 4 three days ago for full price. I called them today because I did not like the game very much and wanted to exchange it. I was told that they only do exchanges for used games. I could've purchased the game used for three dollars less. The manager told me that once you buy it new it's your. On a $39 game he was going to give me $18 credit. When I mentioned that I was never told that the return policy was for used games his reply was lesson learned I guess.
