This world has definitely changed so much since 1861 and we have seen a shift to online purchases in the last few decades, so it is good to see Bloomingdale's still here on the Mall at Millenia. This Bloomingdale's has a good selection (which you would expect from a department store) and the store is clean and well-maintained. I received a pair of Tory Burch sandals as a birthday gift from a close friend. Since the size was incorrect, I followed Bloomingdale's return instructions and mailed the item back using the prepaid return label provided by Bloomingdale's. The original gift receipt was enclosed in the return package, as instructed. After weeks of trying to resolve the matter, I was repeatedly told that Bloomingdale's could not locate my returned item. I spent a significant amount of time contacting customer service, explaining the situation over and over, yet no one was able to provide a satisfactory answer or resolution. I have now learned something even more upsetting. Instead of issuing the merchandise credit to me, the gift recipient, Bloomingdale's refunded the value of the item to the original purchaser--my friend who gave me the birthday gift. This mistake has put me in an incredibly uncomfortable and embarrassing position. Not only have I lost the approximately $200 merchandise credit that rightfully belonged to me, but Bloomingdale's actions also risk damaging a personal friendship. My friend may now believe that I intentionally returned their birthday gift, which is both hurtful and completely contrary to what actually happened. This situation was created solely because Bloomingdale's mishandled my return. I trusted Bloomingdale's to process a standard gift return correctly. Instead, I have experienced poor customer service, a lack of accountability, and an outcome that has caused both financial loss and unnecessary personal distress. I respectfully request that Bloomingdale's immediately investigate this matter and issue the appropriate merchandise credit to me. I also ask for an explanation of how a properly submitted gift return was processed in a way that refunded the original purchaser rather than the gift recipient. I have always expected a much higher level of professionalism and customer care from Bloomingdale's. I sincerely hope this matter can be resolved promptly and fairly. I look forward to your response. Today, I came out of Barnes & Noble, in my powerchair with my service dog and stopped to look at my map on my phone to get my bearings and figure out where I was going next, when the security guard pulled up in his little golf cart and told me I couldn't be there cuz I had a service dog (on a leash and with the service dog vest on). I thought I heard him wrong so I asked him to clarify and he said I'm going to arrest you if you don't move. Like WTF! The other day I was in the crosswalk and a truck barreled thru the stop sign and nearly hit me and my service dog yet security was no where to be found then and when I did find one to report it he acted like it was a bother for him to even fill out an incident report because obviously cars have the right away even if you are in the crosswalk. I should have been more careful. While I like going to Walgreens, Barnes & Noble, Sprouts, Hobby Lobby, Staples, Ross, Five Below & more. I'm not going back to Colonial Town Center and those businesses will lose my business. I don't feel safe and I feel like the Black Security officers are using reverse discrimination on me because I'm a white older disabled guy in a power chair with a Service Dog. They are protected because being prejudiced against the disabled is allowed in this country and no one cares.

This plaza is well maintained and offers a lot of parking. I came here originally primarily for Sprouts, but have found a lot of great stores and restaurants here. I particular like Adjectives and Barnes and Noble is an old favorite. For restaurants, there are not only plenty here in the plaza, but there are also a lot more in the general area. With all the reasons listed above, this is a good plaza to head towards.
