The Oviedo Mall really has come to life. There's not many stores inside that I shop at, but I seem to find myself here pretty often. Some of my favorite events are the Renaissance Fair, and taste of Oviedo. I do wish there were more stores that I would shop at here. However, it's totally worth it to eat at the food court so I'm not complaining. They do have some unique stores with a good selection and most of the stores are reasonably priced. The mall employees are friendly. If you go on weeknights it's definitely quiet here so they are a lot more attentive. They also have the ride on animals you can rent to go around the mall which I highly recommend doing at least once. If you're in the area or looking for something to do in the AC during the summer, I would recommend checking out the Oviedo mall. read more

This mall has gone through a bit of renewal. I remember this mall being nearly completely dead, then coming back to life on life support with off brand shops and a few anchor stores. The main draw is the Italian restaurant and market and the AMC theater. They also have different events in the parking lot around the mall. There are some pretty cool shops in the mall. An olive oil store, vintage shops, music shop and anime store to name a few. read more

I returned to the Oviedo Mall to participate in the Florida Breast Cancer Foundation Race 2 Cure 5K. We started off the day by getting there early to park and have enough time to visit all the outside vendors. The parking was easy as there were plenty of parking spaces. After the walk and award ceremony were over, we entered the Mall for the Pink Day Market. We first stopped for nourishment and then visited the other stores and vendors. The stores were donating a percentage of their proceeds to the Florida Breast Cancer Foundation. Everyone we stopped by and spoke with was friendly and engaging. Came here randomly, bought a couple of things then ran into the breast care awareness little shops. There I met the sweetest older woman ever and bought a couple of things from her. I probably spend 90% of my time at this mall. I love the selection of restaurants, and the fact that it has a really nice Dilliards inside. I am usually here to visit the Rc track, and to get pasta, like thats literally all I do. There aren't many empty storefronts, and the ones that are empty, the typically host events or have activities nearby. The mall boasts an ever changing food court, an arcade, and those little animals that kids like to ride through the mall. The Oviedo mall has evolved so much over time. Anchor stores still exist here but the mall now mainly focuses on art and vintage stores. You still have b. Dalton bookstore and an entire second story dedicated to a regal cinemas. If you are into one of kind stores and fun activities then this is the mall for you. My son and I LOVED the selfie spot walk and that is the perfect example of how this mall has really changed and stands out as a unique experience from your typical mall adventure. read more

This is one of my fav malls. It's always clean, the security is wonderful. There's so many events that go on! It's near by other major biz box stores. They have a great food court. Wizards and Lizards is probably my favorite store there! Bathrooms are always looked after and there's multiple entries with automatic doors for accessibility. They have a huge hallway for selfies that showcase different artists which is really cool! And there's a spirit Halloween there every year! read more

Has some decent stores. But I can tell you the air in this mall is dangerous. They have two nail salons causing formaldehyde to reek throughout the mall. This would cause people with asthma or a lot of senior citizens to get sick. People with bad reviews on here said they didn't like the air, they didn't realize it has dangerous chemicals throughout effecting the air, which is part of the problem Saw no senior citizens, only seemingly healthy teenagers or kids go this mall, unless they enjoy breathing poison, I guess they wouldn't be there. read more

Honestly, I haven't been back in a long while. I always thought of this mall as a dying mall but I came for an event. They apparently do lots of market type events here now. Tons of store fronts are filled with mom and pop type shops too. I definitely recommend a visit back here if you haven't been in a while. read more

All there is plenty of parking, I have always found the Oviedo Mall to have quite a few shortcomings. It just seems to be very unorganized and looks like it was designed very poorly in terms of getting around the mall. It has also been in a steady decline for a long time. A lot of the big name stores pulled out and the store definitely needs a face lift. They is construction going on, but I do not know how long that has been going on. It would also be advisable to have clearer directions as to what stores are where in the mall. I might have spent a bit more time there had it been easier to navigate through this shopping mall Maybe indoor malls are all in a decline, especially with people doing more and more shopping online. This one needs to reinvent themselves and with Oviedo growing, maybe it would not be a bad idea. I guess overall I will give this place an overall score of three stars. read more

If I was writing this review a year ago, I'd give it 4 stars. However, the food court is going to crap with Chick-Fil-A no longer there and quite a few closed stores. The one end of the mall is kind of a ghost town. This may be more of a weekend mall than anything as when I was there on a weekday afternoon, many places were closed. They have a movie theater, a Dillards and some specialty shops that seem more local than many of the typical mall staples (which are there too), so if you like to support locals, this may be worth a stop. There's also one of those game/restaurant places which are popular for taking up a lot of empty space in the dying malls these days. I keep going back and occasionally do find stuff to get, but if you're looking to spend the day at the mall, this ain't the one. read more

This mall has an odd set-up and has been hanging on by a thread for years. There is not much to come here for in terms of shopping. The food court has a bunch of weird options in my opinion and they all close at different times, which is inconvenient to say the least. The movie theater seems to be the only reason people still come here and it's oddly positioned upstairs as well. The workers aren't friendly, the selection of stors is lackluster, and there is very little value in coming here. Everything is so overpriced. read more

This mall has been hanging on by a thread for so many years now. I'm glad it's still there because we live close and we actually go to several play dates here at the mini play area in the food court. There are not many big name stores left. Instead, most of the spaces are rented by local businesses. I mostly come here for the loft outlet if I'm shopping but there's a few other places that I've found some success at too. During the day, the mall is pretty quiet so it could be a good place to come get some work done. This small small mall is a pleasant place for a local outing with a lot of potential to grow. It currently has a good mix of stores, entertainment options, and community-friendly atmosphere. They recently added a selfie hall too. The food court has a few solid options, and the presence of a movie theater and smaller attractions like the arcade make it a fun destination for families. This mall always teters on dying out, unfortunately, but lately they've had decent success and hold lots of events to bring business. There's also plenty of parking, which is always a plus. If they continue adding newer shops and updating their offerings, the Oviedo Mall could easily become a go-to spot for locals and visitors alike. This mall has been open 20 years in the Central Florida region. It has seen better days, to say the least. With the recession, this mall took the brunt of decreased attendance - similar to West Oaks Mall in W. Orlando. I remember when it was first getting constructed and remember the days visiting when it was busy. It sure is a shell of itself, but they keep the mall clean (much cleaner than the West Oaks) and there is plenty of nice fast food restaurants available. It's not too busy and does not have many stores, but it does have a good selection of clothing stores like Victoria's Secret and Champs Sports. read more

For starters if you want a generic mall, this is not for you. It has found new life with local stores, and niche almost nerd/art centric feel. This is great for gamers, anime fans, book lovers, and toy collectors. There are events like an Anime Fest, Rennasance Fair, and the movie theater plays some unique classics like Studio Ghibli and Blazing Saddles. District is like a Dave and Busters, and is quite good. This has really got a home grown feel these days, and it a cool place. I worked at this mall 20 years ago, and it is good to see the local community keeping it alive. Again if you want cookie cutter national chain stores, you won't find a lot of them. If you want a unique quirky mall this is a great place. read more

My rating today is based solely on my experience receiving the COVID vaccination here. I was instructed to park at the district eat and play and enter through the doors that used to be Sears. Upon entry, they asked 1st or 2nd dose and then you were pointed to join lines that had clear 6 ft distance markers. Since I was with my grandmother they let us forgo the line and continue to the checkin area. After you checkin you are given paperwork to fill out in the waiting area that was filled with tons of socially distance chairs. When done filling out paperwork, you were to raise your hand and someone took it from you. Then there was a woman on the microphone that called your number (looked like a deli ticket) and you proceeded to the vaccination part. The nurse I had explained and answered questions very well and made me feel at ease. After the shot you can scan a QR code to make an appointment for the 2nd dose and then you sit in the observation area for the amount of time that was written on your card. When you are done, you can exit through the same way you came in. Overall it was seamless and everyone I encountered was kind and informative. Super thankful. Didn't have a chance to roam the Mall today. Maybe another day. Btw- no pics are allowed inside. read more

Really good looking mall that has such potential to come back and be a solid location again. Several years back that had a long list of brand name stores. Now only a few remain, such as, Barnes and Noble, Bath and Body Works and Hallmark. The mall overall was renovated last year and is really clean and modern looking. There are skylights throughout giving it an open and airy feel. Solids anchor stores cap the opposing ends and the good court has a decent variety of options. It pains me to write this updated review. Don't get me wrong, I still enjoy coming to the Oviedo Mall because it is quiet and I don't have to ever fight crowds. There are some improvements needed that are worth mentioning. - The stores are lacking in variety these days and are closing left and right. Macy's is gone. The comic store was only open a few months before it shut down. I don't know how Sears or Dillard's are still open. The only places that seem to be busy when I visit are Chick-Fil-A, Barnes & Nobles, and Dollar Tree. The gelato place near Dillard's is incredible. The Winey Wench is fun. The movie theater stays relatively busy but also needs work. - I am just going to come out and say it - more times than not, it is hot as hell in the mall common areas. Maybe that's their way of getting people inside the stores. Thankfully for the employees, it seems like most of the stores have a/c. - The water fountain near the restroom has also been broken for what seems like forever. This doesn't help when you are already hot from the lack of air conditioning. - One thing that is also broken are the automatic doors for the handicapped. I must admit, I use them to help go in and out with a stroller, but this can't be good for ADA. I believe the mall has three entrances and two out of three are broken the last time I checked. Oviedo Mall tried to make some improvements a while ago such as adding new seating, decor, and signs, but I feel like the bandaids have come off. The staff who work in the mall and in the stores are very friendly and I do still enjoy coming here. I have hopes that the mall will pick up after a few new places are scheduled to open including a brewery and entertainment center. By then, please at least get the a/c working properly! read more

You always remember the way things were, rather than how they really are. And that's how I feel about Oviedo Mall. I grew up in the Winter Park area; we moved to North Carolina, and then we moved back to the Clearwater area in '98. We visited family in Orlando monthly, and I distinctly remembered when they finished construction on the mall. Oviedo seemed to have a population boom in the 90s and then it stopped. Stores struggled to stay in the mall, I think, due to its remote location from the main roads. Currently, you'll not find many familiar stores. There's a lot of vacant storefronts, sadly. The Regal theatre remains in the center of the mall and probably accounts for most of the foot traffic if I had to guess. The mall itself reminds me of one long hallway of an average indoor flea market. The concrete floors are dark by design. The storefronts are square and vacant, as I mentioned earlier. The air has that mall coldness about it, but also the lingering scent of what the mall once was. It's sad to see cozy malls die over time. But if the company doesn't consider its audience and location, can you really be surprised at the outcome? +1 for a decent food court and movie theatre. +1 for a seemingly happy game arcade for the kids. +1 for the sake of nostalgia. This mall has made some great improvements over the past several months and provides a non-standard shopping experience with something enjoyable for everyone with a few traditional mall stores, several gift/specialty shops, and a great food court selection. Sometimes they hold community events as well. It's like a time capsule from an era gone by, in a good way! 2019 Review 30/100 I'm kinda surprised this mall is still around. I've watched it die a slow death since it's opening, with many of those years being kept alive by the movie theater bringing people in the door. This is a small mall. It used to have a really good selection of stores but most of those stores have since closed so you're left with the anchors and a random assortment of those types of shops you find at malls that are on the out. The one cool store that has opened more recently is Hudson Video Games, a cool gaming shop with a lot of retro inventory. Worth checking out if you're a gamer. This was the place to hang out when I was growing up so it holds a great amount of nostalgia for me. It was great back in the day. For that reason, Oviedo Mall will always hold a special place in my heart. But, from an objective point of view, there are much better malls in the area. Probably only long-time locals like me will feel drawn here. One point not to sleep on: the theater is small but it's never crowded. If you are looking for tickets for a premiere that's sold out everywhere else you can probably get them here. Just know you'll be watching in a relatively small theater on a smaller screen than other local theaters. read more

I am not a shopper, but I had the chance to visit the mall when they hosted Seminole County;s Covid Vaccine clinics for 65 and older. I took my mother and law to get her shot. The mall has plenty of windows and is bright and open. They had a decent food court, a movie theater,Dillards was the staple store, a cool arcade and many unique things. My MIL is looking forward to going back with my wife, to shop. They are several art stores and she loves looking at art. read more

It really hurts me to write a review like this, but I need to tell it like it is. I've seen this mall open with it's humble beginnings, with such promising stores and a great movie theater right in the middle. Yet as the economy has plummeted so has this mall. At it's peak, I would've given this mall either a 4 star no brainer, even closing in on a 5. But so many good stores have closed, and the only good thing that remains is the movie theater. Though the large department stores, Sears, Macy's, and Dillards are still around, most of the stores in between all seem to come and go. Even American Eagle and GAP have left, which is never a good sign. I can name a dozen stores that have closed at the mall, and even the Bed Bath and Beyond has left for a location across the street. Is this a sign of a near close for the mall? (I hope not) This mall, though lacking of stores, still has a pretty good food court. They got the staples, Chick-Fil-A, Subway, a smoothie place, etc. My favorite being Cajun Grill, though I may be biased because I went to school with the owner's son. Also the movie theater, I feel is what is really saving the day. I was so happy to find a nice movie theater within the vicinity of where I live, instead of having to drive down to Altamonte. Though Altamonte's theater may be better, I feel like this has a more homey feel for me. (I don't know if that makes sense for a movie theater). But watch out for those Friday and Saturday nights, you will be met with a ton of middle school and high school kids lurking around the mall, trying to act all gangsta (well some of them haha). Oh I remember the old days, back in the day when I was a kid... haha let's not go there. Anyways, yes to the theater and the food court, no for the variety of stores at the mall. Plus the mall isn't laid out that well. It's a huge line and in order to get to the store across the mall, you need to well walk ALL the way across, but check out the theaters. read more

This is a solid mall. The mall has undergone major renovations recently and it looks really nice. It's very clean and has a couple nice restaurants nearby. A new Japanese restaurant (Oyishi?) opened and it looks very nice, too. The food court has the standard assortment of places. The mall also has a Regal Cinemas with 22 screens and all of the major films playing. The selection of stores at the mall is fairly limited. I think it fell on hard times during the recession recently and now there's only the anchor stores (Macy's, Dillards, Sears) and a couple major chains (Victoria's Secret, Paul Mitchel Hair School, Express, etc.). It's also got a lot of random little stores (popcorn place, jewelry shops, etc.) and a bookstore. Everything is really clean, and there's a bunch of parking. The mall is also near a Target and another plaza that has a TJ Maxx and a Michael's and some other stuff. Overall, this area is a pretty solid shopping experience. The mall itself is pretty nice and, when supplemented by the nearby stores and plaza, it adds up to really fun experience. read more
