I am leaving a positive review because even though I missed out on the restock of Pokémon 151 today, the store manager took the time to tell me how to be in the know and find out about releases. He informed me of what pokemon site to go to and find out about all of the upcoming releases. I called 10 stores today and they all very coldly said "we're sold out"! This location is the only one that tried to give me some understanding because I am new to the trading card collecting world. I appreciate that immensely read more

Inside the mall, this location is pretty standard for the chain. The real separation here is the nice and helpful staff. Most of the sister stores have good staff, but this one goes a bit beyond. I think that the fact that they have less for traffic does offer a great chance for them to assist customers on a personal level. I've headed here usually with a specific item in mind, and they've always been able to help, even if they don't have it at their store at the time. They're honest about timelines for getting games or systems and what to do to ensure you get early copies. Overall: A Great people make this store a go to read more

I love this Gamestop because it is never too packed with tweens, so you can get in and out quickly. And if you're in the mood to browse for a longer period of time they have 7 different stations were you can test out some new games (i.e. 2 Wiis, 3 PS3s, & 2 Xbox 360 consoles). I am sure they also have some DS games to try, but I didn't count how many they had along the Nintendo wall. Also, if you bring in your own DS they have the wifi set up so you can download demos of DS games for free :) Also, the staff is very friendly here, and on one of my last visits the gentleman on duty gave me some free posters for my 12 year old nephew, because I bought him a subscription and gift-card for his birthday :) I love free stuff, and my nephew LOVED the posters! read more

Confession: Even though I'm heading into my late thirties, I am still an avid gamer. Along with movies, books, and music, video games still have a place on my shelf of escapism. Even though games have gotten more complicated than the simple days of the Nintendo Entertainment System when I was a kid, I still like to keep up with newer consoles and I genuinely enjoy newer games as well as retro. Along with music, video games seem to be shifting toward digital as the preferred method of purchasing. I do purchase digital downloads from time to time, but I still prefer to have a physical copy. I like having artwork to look at while the game is loading, and most importantly, I can sell it back to Gamestop when I'm done with it. You can't do that with digital downloads. I've been frequenting this Gamestop for a few years now because it's closest to my home but also because the staff and customers seem to be more well mannered than other Gamestops I've been to. At this Gamestop, the employees make sure to greet you when you walk in even if they're in the middle of helping someone, and they will always check up on you to see if you're looking for suggestions or anything in particular. The staff here seem to be genuinely friendly and really care about video games and are always stoked to talk about whatever game you're thinking about purchasing as well as upcoming games. As you see, I left off a star, and if you're a Gamestop shopper, you probably already know why. As much as I love Gamestop, I'm not a fan of them pushing their employees to upsell products. I just came in to trade a few games and look around; I don't need the $35 walkthrough guide, I'm fine without the warranty since every PS4 game is a blu-ray disc, and it's difficult to scratch those unless you really go out of your way, and if I wanted to pre-order an upcoming game, I'd tell them from the get-go, not wait for them to bring out a binder full of upcoming releases and asking me to check it out to see if there's anything I might be interested in. I mean, I get it from a business standpoint, but it gets a little annoying as a consumer. I know what games are coming out soon, I don't care about the walkthrough guides, I just want to trade the games I brought in and purchase the game I want. Again, this is not this particular Gamestop's fault, it's the company's fault as a whole. However, the employees at this Gamestop are generally pretty cool about it all. As soon as you say, "Nah, I'm not interested," they don't pressure you further like some other Gamestops do. They abide by the corporate mandate but they also respect you as a customer. I can totally get behind that. The game selection here is pretty good if you're looking for a used copy of a newer game. They usually have a few in stock and if not, they'll point you in the direction of the nearest Gamestop that has one so you can save a few bucks instead of purchasing the game brand new. The interior is clean and well organized, and the staff are great to chat with while you're looking around or making a transaction. The parking situation here is a little iffy because they're right next to a Chipotle in a cramped shopping center, so you might find yourself parking at the nearby gym and just walking over. I won't knock them for that. If you're a gamer, and you live in the Mills/50 area, this is the Gamestop to go to, and I haven't had a bad experience with them. What bothers me is the corporate mandate that makes employees upsell stuff you don't really need, but the staff here totally brushes that aside the second you say you're not interested. So yeah, I'm a fan of this Gamestop. And if you're not a gamer, they also have other stuff like Funko-Pop dolls and various other geeky accessories, so this would be a good place to check out if you're birthday shopping for a friend. As a final tip, always check their website before you go. Gamestop regularly runs BOGO specials and marks down older games. The deals are pretty sweet if you're trading in some stuff for new games, and your total might end up in the single digits. I give this Gamestop 4 stars which is the equivalent of the Mario victory finger sign from Super Mario World. read more

What can I say? Why buy them new when you can pick the game up and get the same experience for less? I am a big Nintendo Wii fan and I purchase all my games here or other locations. This business also rewards frequent purchases and offers 2-for-1 specials. Is your picky friend a video game nut? Then have no fear! These stores sell gift cards. Do you have a couple of oldies laying around collecting dust? Bring them in an get credit towards something on the shelf. All of their employees know their stuff and will even answer questions on the phone so give them a call! read more

I imagine that most GameStop stores resemble one another, but I'm giving this one a 5-star review because my experiences here - and, in particular, my most recent one - have been very favorable. I was in here maybe close to two months ago to pre-order a copy of Max Payne 3 for XBox. The cashier/employee was very helpful and got me signed up for GameStop's rewards program and was extremely knowledgeable about it and its benefits/perks. I forget his name, but he was very friendly and went well beyond what I usually expect from typical employees at retail stores. He pointed out to me that, on my receipt, there was a website address I could go to for a survey of my store experience, and that completing the survey would make me eligible for some prizes/etc. I filled out the survey and gave the employee high marks. This store has a pretty decent selection of used games, though I usually browse through them without buying anything as I already am trying to finish games I bought a year or so ago and don't have time for many new ones (save for Max Payne 3, I guess ... haha). I'm not much of a video-gamer anymore (I used to be much more into them), so I don't come to this or any other GameStop very often these days, but this one is really nice. Realistically, I don't consider this store to be on the same level as other businesses I've rated as being worthy of 5 stars, but the customer service here (at least during my experiences, especially the most recent one) has been excellent and I definitely appreciated it. read more

Preordering games doesn't make any sense. If you didn't come twice (first to pay) and second to pick up some "yellow" ticket (from 3pm till 8pm day of release) you'll be in the line with everyone (who even not preordered). read more

Nice people. i get the games i want and never had any issues. The reason i put 4 stars is due to on more than 1 occasion where they had only 1 copy of a game or to put this in more simple terms a shortage of games. Some games they only have pre owned or they don't even have the cover for that game which sucks because i enjoy to collect them. Overall i still am satisfied shopping there and i have no plans on stopping to go there. read more
