Further, the option of printing a smaller size myself on the self-serve equipment is overly complicated by needing to email the file from my phone to their office; I had the file on a thumb drive, so that wasn't an option. Then, having decided to skip the printing, I picked up some other supplies. The selection was quite good, but the prices were not.

It's one of the few remaining OM stores in the area now that the West Milwaukee and Downtown locations have closed. For an OfficeMax, it's "okay". The store itself is quite large, as its located in a former Kohl's food store. Despite the large size, the aisles are a bit bare - they had what I needed, but not a lot of extra stock. Staff is about what I'd expect - I was asked if I needed help when searching for printer ink, but had to wait around for a cashier. If you're looking for the basics in terms of office supplies, I'm sure they'll have what you need. Not sure I'll be back to this location though - there are big security gates on all the windows and a fair amount of people sitting in the parking lot "hanging out" on a random Thursday afternoon - kind of sketchy. Here it…read moreis May, and I had a major problem with it; the internet kept dying out while I was in the middle of doing something. Very annoying! Generally, I was able to reconnect but this would happen several times in a day! It was not our internet carrier, as my brother had a laptop that was running just fine, so I knew it had to be something in the computer. Finally, I could not longer reconnect at all, so I took it in to the store to see if they could help. There they ran a diagnosis and thought it was something in the hardware that was blocking it. I was advised to call Dell (the model I had) to see if they could repair it. I did have a warranty (2 years). First I had to call where the warranty was being held, and after they ran a diagnosis, they told me the problem was not in the hardware but the software and they transferred me to a Dell representative.. Right off the bat, I was told I had a warranty for the hardware but not the software problem and I needed to buy protection to fix the problem. It seems every time you call one of these outfits, you get a sales pitch. Finally I asked for what was the best bargain available so I could get this fixed! Prices ranged from $129 (1 year) to 225! After having already paid enough in February, the thought of that was troubling, but I went with the $129, figuring if I had to get a tech, it would cost much more. After 2 hours(!) of going over various issues, we found the problem though we still don't know why it happened; the internet was completely disabled. We managed to get it back up and running and I was happy, somewhat. At first I was angry at Dell, but it really wasn't their problem, it was Office Depot who should have told me I needed better coverage, so I could have paid at the time of sale. All I can say to people who buy their computers there, make sure you get a comprehensive warranty.

Despite that it appears to be held together with shoe polish and duct tape, the staff here were very friendly and I greatly appreciated the quick and free lamination of my COVID vaccination card. However, my worries were for naught. The new owner, Raj, has done a great job providing the customary services the UPS Store is known for. His staff is excellent. They are both efficient and helpful. They also anticipate needs when you come into the store and often times have package or mail waiting for us. Compared to other UPS stores I have frequented, especially in Los Angeles, CA, this place is night and day above the rest.
