I came if for some posters that I needed right away. The price quoted was four times the price I paid an hour later at FedEx. Further, the option of printing a smaller size myself on the self-serve equipment is overly complicated by needing to email the file from my phone to their office; I had the file on a thumb drive, so that wasn't an option. Went there today to print out some documents from my email. Their PC kiosk promoted the first 5 minutes are free so I figured that was a bonus. Had to swipe my CC to start. Logged on and did my printing...which was at an insane rate of .45 per page.... smh. Finished up and realized they charged me 1.28 for my time on the pc. I questioned it with the cashier who called over a manager who told me I had to call the number on the receipt because that is a different company and they have nothing to do with that. I responded to him 'great customer service' and walked out. It's obviously not about the money here but don't put a big sign promoting 5 minutes free when it obviously is not free. I won't be coming back.... I've decided to change my review and give it a huge upgrade. The have a new printing service where you basically email a file to their email address while you are at the store... insert your cc and print whatever quantities and b/w or color. All is self service... it totally rocks. read more

I ended up at this location because the one on 43rd St was closed (so sad...that one was actually nice!). It's one of the few remaining OM stores in the area now that the West Milwaukee and Downtown locations have closed. For an OfficeMax, it's "okay". The store itself is quite large, as its located in a former Kohl's food store. Despite the large size, the aisles are a bit bare - they had what I needed, but not a lot of extra stock. Staff is about what I'd expect - I was asked if I needed help when searching for printer ink, but had to wait around for a cashier. If you're looking for the basics in terms of office supplies, I'm sure they'll have what you need. Not sure I'll be back to this location though - there are big security gates on all the windows and a fair amount of people sitting in the parking lot "hanging out" on a random Thursday afternoon - kind of sketchy. It didn't feel super safe, so I'll head to another location next time. read more

So I'm happy that they offer copy services, but wow that's expensive! I did my copies anyway though because I needed it done. But when it came out of the printer, it was super high quality paper! Why? I wasn't looking for glossy paper half the thickness of card stock like I was printing pictures. And then I looked at what came out and it cut the top of my pages off because the tray is set wrong! Almost $10 on fancy paper for a packet for a student to work on at home. To cut and paste. Perhaps something that shows options and pricing would be helpful. Yes it showed the price before I approved the copy. But perhaps a difference in paper quality with that. Like...NO DO THIS ON REGULAR COPY PAPER was not an option. read more

Does anyone work here? It's impossible to find anyone to help find things or reach things from the top shelf. When you finally do find someone they are pretty irritated if they have to actually go look for something. There's only one guy I trust at this store. The red headed guy in the printing department. Only one with a head on his shoulders. I take all my printing to him. The one time he wasn't working was a nightmare to get my work printed and get back to my job in a timely manner. They just got a new color printer so there aren't as many mistakes or unusable materials. Personally I think since office max and Office Depot merged quality has gone wayyy down.... This location looks like it's on the verge of closing. Clearing signs up everywhere! We weren't greeted when we entered the store. I needed printer ink and luckily am a member of their customer rewards so I got $10.00. The ink section is very poorly lit. I managed to find what I needed and made it to the register. The cashier seemed a bit confused. I guess I will stick with my Oak Creek location. read more

Don't bother-was ready to buy a 200.00 chair floor model only one available was told he wouldn't charge me for assembly but he couldn't reduce the chair anymore-when I questioned that decision with a "Really?" He told me I could pick out another chair. I said yes I could, at a different store-put the ink down that I was purchasing too. read more

It was an okay store. This place is more expensive than Office Depot. They didn't carry the items I was looking for. The staff wasn't helpful. They didn't look too friendly either. I don't think I'll go back to this store at all. read more
