We agreed that I would just pick up my laptop instead and I would figure it out myself. Well, I go to pick up my laptop already bummed my laptop was not getting fixed and when I meet Mr. Andrew at the counter and he presents my laptop to me with a crack on the screen he made while putting my laptop back together. He said he was sorry and offered me $20 off the service. I left with my laptop more broken than fixed unfortunately.

We went to all major retailers and a couple of used computer shops but had no luck. Roger at Edgar's was able to locate a used charger that worked for us. It was a little pricey ($55) for a 9 year old used charger but we were glad he had it and paid the price. The perk was playing with his massive cat that seemed to weigh 25 lbs.

Within only six months -- and after an earlier crash I barely managed to recover from -- the system became unstable and eventually had to be repaired by a different technician. I am 88 and on oxygen, and I rely on my computer every day. I wish I had been warned that forcing Windows 11 onto older, unsupported hardware can lead to serious instability in a short period of time. Edgar clearly knows his craft, but customers -- especially seniors or those on fixed incomes -- should ask whether an upgrade is truly safe and appropriate for their specific machine.

When La-Z-Boy was contacted, they said they hadn't heard anything about the chairs wanting to be returned, this establishment is dishonest discourteous and nonprofessional.
