Dropped off my Xbox Elite Series 2 controller in January for repair. For months I got weekly (then bi-weekly, then monthly) calls saying they still hadn't started on it and asking if I wanted to pick it up. I own multiple controllers and wasn't in a rush, so I left it. Calls eventually stopped. At the 6-month mark I went in. They told me they had thrown it away "because it had been so long." An employee then offered a different controller and tried to charge me $20 "for the part." When I pointed out they never worked on mine, the story changed to "we have to replace it since we threw yours out." After I asked to speak to a manager, she suddenly said she could just give it to me. I left with a basic controller. The one I dropped off came with its full case. This place lost my property, never repaired it, tried to charge me for their mistake, and returned an incomplete replacement. Extremely poorly run. read more

I've never had issues with media exchange until now. We bought a phone from them in July. My daughter's phone screen cracked. We went to get it repaired and were told that the screen was very low quality, it was the wrong screen, it was installed wrong, there was internal water damage and there were still payments pending from previous owner. I am very upset that media exchange decided to sell such a horrible product. I will never buy from them again. read more

Buyer beware when purchasing phones and tablets from this store. These employees are far from experts and most of the time it's "so and so isn't here today, so I don't know." You get what you pay for. I bought an iPhone 4s 32gb phone for my son and made sure he told me if anything appeared wrong with it. Sure enough, in a couple of days the sound controls and speaker started giving him trouble. They wouldn't work half the time. This is one of problems with water damage. So we bring this phone back to the store. With a 14 day return window, you don't have much time to figure out problems. They know that. The employee who sold us the phone couldn't even remember selling it to us and even told the manager "my name is on the receipt but I didn't do it." What an idiot. I digress. All and all the return went smoothly after they made sure it wasn't us trying to con them. That's what it looked like. In summary, make sure you have a nerd friend who can check your purchase. Play with the sounds and speakers often to make sure phone is working because this business does not know what the hell they are doing with these devices. Oh they didn't have the lego movie in stock! Worst place ever. Bought 2 controllers that broke down after a month. Bought several movies that gave defective codes on any form of media i tried to play. And cashiers constantly forget to actually put the movie in the case or the right movie! Ive had to drive back so many times because of their employees mistakes. This is my go to store for used movies and games....although they don't carry games from the older systems they do have a good selection for the ones they do carry. There are great prices and excellent customer service. They clean the discs for you before you buy them, and they have a 30day warranty (with receipt) on the items you purchase. I went in to this store to EXCHANGE a brand new phone case that I bought just over a month ago. It was still in the package I had never opened it. I really don't see any reason why they could not exchange it for the case that I needed which was the exact same value. Even if it's against their store policy, I believe they should have made the exchange in good faith. I cannot understand why they would not be able to sell the same case again. This is my favorite store. The employees are extraordinarily nice and helpful. The prices are great; the best I've ever seen actually. I always get my movies and games from here. It's clean and well managed. The posters on the wall and their recent renovations give a lively atmosphere. I trust these people when I buy electronics here. After nearly a decade, I've only had one problem with one of their products, and they let me give it back for a replacement without any hang up. This is what a store should be like. read more
