I bought a Chimenea on 14 November 2023, which was a new item for them. I returned the item on 13 December 2023 and Aaron examined it and stated it wasn't cured appropriately. We did an even exchange and he said if it happens again, he would give me a full refund. The second one cracked and I have reached out to Aaron by the way who is owner and he has ignored my calls and messages. I'm only saying, be a person of your words, so if this business is not going to stand by their or word, don't shop there. read more

My mother-in-law bought an pair of earrings for me, and with her not-so-great vision, she didn't notice the crack in the glass piece or the missing tassel. I contacted them for an exchange immediately, and "Aaron" (who seemed to be owner, maybe) responded, accusing me of lying! I just wanted to be able to wear the gift from my mother-in-law. I don't have the time, nor do I care to pretend. I am not a liar. And I don't appreciate the curt attitude and accusations from this company. I will not ever buy from them again, and I don't recommend anyone else give them your money either. My partner, his adult daughter and I visited this store April 14th. An older gentleman followed us all through the store and warehouse, apparently making sure we didn't steal anything. Whatever. I paid for my purchase and we left. Two days later, we returned so I could purchase something for my daughter. I made my selection and paid for it inside the store, being checked out by another, younger man. As my partners daughter and I exited the store and headed to our car, the older man started moving quickly toward us. He literally chased us down and tried to snatch the purchase out of partners daughters hands as she was getting into the car. ARE YOU KIDDING? I have the receipt in my hand! Old man, consider yourself very lucky you didn't put hands on my partners daughter. Her father is a 30+ year retired Nevada Highway Patrol officer and you'd have found yourself with your face smashed into the asphalt, knee in your back and arrested for battery. Cute little place to El Paso Knick knacks especially if you wanna bring some ep culture to your home and yard. They do linger a bit and follow you but understandably so. They're not near anything and you can tell they get frequent thief's. But it has one of a kind art sculptures and decor. A local business that deserves support. read more

My husband and I went into the Desert Blvd store in El Paso on 9/21 and were excited to purchase talavera pottery for our home and garden. When we arrived we were greeted by a man, Abraham, who immediately began following us around and hovering. We were uncomfortable but figured it was okay since it is such a large store. As I chose items Annette, one of the employees, put the items aside for us and when it was time to pay for our purchase Abraham came back and decided that the prices were wrong and that Annette would have to pay the difference if they were. She was embarrassed and so we were. He kept threatening her. We also had a coupon from the EP Home and Garden Show and he did not want to honor it and insisted that she take it from us and punch a hole in it. I was incredibly embarrassed by his constant attack on Annette and our purchase. I finally asked to speak to the manager and was told that she was out of town at Market. I asked for the number to call and I spoke with Aaron and relayed the incident to him. Aaron was very polite and said that he would call the store and speak with Abraham. When he called and told Abraham to go home was when Abraham really got much worse. He ranted a bit and said "thank you and God will punish you!" He terrified me and when he left he kept returning and muttering under his breath. Sadly to say, it was my birthday and I really wanted the items I had selected for our home and garden, but my husband and I left everything. Originally, I thought this would be a wonderful place to bring our son and daughter and their families when they come into El Paso at Thanksgiving, but I don't believe that I would feel safe and/or comfortable returning to the El Paso Trading Post on Desert Blvd. We honestly will never return to this business! read more

This place has really amazing items for sale. Be sure an ask to see the warehouse in the back. It's full of really cool art. We actually liked the items back there more than in the storefront. Well worth a stop. We spent a good amount of money here. Good quality stuff from El Paso and all over Mexico. El Paso Trading Post is a fun, unique weekend jaunt. From outdoor art and sculptures to vases and ceramic crafts, they seem to have literally everything El Paso-y. They also have furniture, painted hides, wall ornaments, and more. My fiancé and I have been a couple of times, now, and have found something new each time! This is a great place to take an out-of-town-er who is looking for a souvenir. From what my fiancé and I could tell, although there are some items that have been imported from China, the majority of their crafts do seem to be made locally, either here in the El Paso area, or across the border in Juarez. So far, our best find was a cool old cattle skull, which is beautifully decorated with inlaid shell pieces. It might sound like an odd piece, but seriously, it's SO beautiful--and the craftsmanship is amazing! The woman who we usually see running things there is friendly, and very eager to help. She does her best with English, but Spanish is definitely her language of choice. When I was there we managed a 70/30 split of English to Spanish, because I like to try, but really, Spanish is not my strong suit. Oh, and one tip--if they have had a particular piece of merchandise for a while, or perhaps if you just strike them as someone nice, they will bargain with you. We ended up getting quite a good deal on the cow skull, since it had been there for a while. It now looks just lovely on our wall! read more
