Went out of my way to place an order with them online even though they don't have a website to order from. Sent me my package and though the USPS said it was delivered it wasn't. My stop at Sun City games was great. I preordered a DnD Adventure with the Alternate Cover, they held it for a week and when I showed up they had a great selection of DnD minis, source book, and other great materials for running DnD. they were helpful and available but not at all pushy. They also have good COVID-19 protocols, I appreciated them taking our and their health seriously. I'm looking forward to coming back soon. read more

I visited this place on a whim during a business trip and boy was I surprised! The outside isn't the nicest, but don't judge this book by it's cover. The owner and attendees were all super welcoming and helpful. I went in search of Magic the Gathering merchandise and accessories. I was able to find the newest card releases as well as a large selection of dice, mats, card sleeves, card cases, and more. Booster packs priced @ $2.99! They really have it all and are extremely affordable. I also happened to visit on a Friday Night Magic event, needless to say the place was jamming with people. I had a great experience at Sun City Games. Because of the pandemic, I posted an order for Citadel Paints for curbside pick-up. The staff filled my order and called when it was ready. They brought the paint and brushes out to my car wearing a mask and practicing social distancing. The staff was both knowledgeable and polite. I definitely intend on returning to Sun City for all my War Hammer needs. read more

I was in the store and I told them I was interested in purchasing high end cards. Someone asked if they could sell a card and the guy behind the counter said, "no." I tried to be discreet and ask the guy what he was interested in selling and the shop kicked us out. I understand if I tried sharking their sales but I didn't do that. So this happened... One of my bosses saw my Magic cards and asked me if I had heard of this shop. I said no and he suggested I check it out if I wanted to buy cards... It was a paradise for someone like who is into buying booster boxes of MTG and cracking packs... The people were very nice and helpful until it came time for me to trade in a few of my cards for store credit... took about 2 hrs to narrow down the 69 cards that they wanted to buy. They quoted my 69 cards at $90... Which is funny because I had actually quoted my cards prior to showing up using the android app MTG Familiar. Now I understand you can't expect market value when trading in cards but they didn't even give me the 50% that they had assured they did. My cards were quoted from the app at $242.67 for 49 cards... I declined their offer and left a little bewildered. I proceeded to call my buddy who informed me that they had tried to rob me and told me that what they'll do is buy your cards as severely played (which all of mine are mint because I sleeve them as soon as I get them out of the boxes and I have never played them at all) and then sell them for mint to near mint condition. I told him I had a mind to walk in and test this theory by trying to buy one of the cards that I was trying to sell to them and see how much they would quote me for. My friend cautioned me that if I did that and started a commotion in the store I would be banned. So instead I decided to call them. I asked for a "Teferi, Hero of Dominaria" which according to TCG Gaming and MTG Familiar is going for around $40 the representative who answered told me they had one for AND I QUOTE, "$45 before tax." So not only is this store low balling people out of their cards they are also turning around and selling these cards above market value... I will not be selling to them and I will be getting with my buddy to report them to Wizards of the Coast. Because I'm pretty sure what they're doing is illegal buying way below market value and then selling for above market value. Now as far as their prices for their booster boxes I can say they match what you would pay online and for that I very much respect them for that, but I don't think I will be buying from them just for the sh** they tried to pull for my trade-ins... Its not even like I was trying to get cash I just wanted store credit to turn around and use on a booster box. read more

Terrible customer service, the rude workers told me on a Monday (after I had bought various items from their stock) to come back on Saturday to see the owner about buying D&D 3.5 gear and/ or finding people that still play. When I returned on Saturday (as they had directed) the owner rudely and dismissively told me that 3.5 was no longer sold at his store while turning his back to me during his rant, turning your back on someone while berating them is highly insulting. They do not know how to talk to people without snide remarks and gestures. I ended up taking my business to All Star Comics by Fort Bliss's main entrance, much better staff and they sell the items I am looking for such as D&D (multiple Editions) and Pathfinder. read more

Awful experience with this store. So unprofessional and unconcerned with customer satisfaction. I bought a card online. It was listed as damaged, but was priced at almost 90% of the near mint price. I buy damaged cards online all the time. Most have minor tears or creases but are perfectly playable, and this card fell right into the price range for such cards. Heavily damaged cards are priced closer to 50-60% of near mint. The card arrived and it was practically in 2 pieces with a giant tear across the center. Unplayable and unfit for any practical purpose. I reached out to Sun City to try to find a mutually agreeable solution. I explained the situation and offered to return the card at my expense for a refund or store credit, or to keep it in exchange for a partial refund / store credit. I also said that I'd be open to other creative ideas and would be willing to work with them. They refused to engage with me, simply saying there was "nothing they could do." It was very clear that they had priced the card the way they had in order to scam people. They sold the card online sight unseen knowing full well that nobody would ever purchase the card at that price if they knew what they were getting. Not how you treat your customers. read more
