If you want to quickly get some supply for a project you are working on and return home, this is NOT the place to go. Usually there is only one register open and unless the "head" cashier stops stocking and opens a register or calls for back up you are stuck in the "return register line". I only go there because it is five minutes from my house and when I have finished all my other errands, as I know I will be in line longer than it takes me to find the item I need. Sometimes I will go to the Tuesday Morning next door to shop for scrapbook and craft items. I often luck out and then I don't have to go to HL. There is a Dollar Tree in the same center and I can go there and get glue sticks and such quicker. One of the managers wanted to make sure that my rain check items were being ordered, as it was 6 weeks before the 6x8 ring binder and refills showed up on the shelves! I told him that I could order them online, but the shipping is as much as one of the items! To me the 'company' philosophy and logistics may be the problem. All three stores did not have the refills and ring binders from November to end of January, BUT these items were available on line. I ask one employee at one of the stores if they were no longer available. She said she orders them every week, but the warehouse does not ship any. So are you ignoring El Paso customers? Obviously, you may have more than one warehouse.....so why could I get them online but not at the stores? El Paso Hobby Lobbies are wonderful as we have had nothing comparable for years, but I am in heaven when I go Arizona (Tucson area) or Houston/Galveston area to visit. The choices in some product areas are phenomenal. Here in El Paso I often have to go to the west HL off Mesa St. to get picture frame hardware and other items not carried on the east side stores. Good things: all cashiers at all three locations are always friendly and helpful; never have witnessed the clerk getting irritable EVEN WHEN the customers have become nasty while waiting SO long. From worst to best for customer check out: Viscount, Loop 375, Mesa. BEST things: at Mesa and Loop 375 stores, design of entry protects customers and employees(cashiers) from our nasty winds, dust, cold. Viscount NEEDS THIS! I shop Hobby Lobby quite often, but I can't understand the lack of customer service by the cashiers! I went into the store and Brie/Brianna didn't even have the common courtesy to say "Thank you". My son picked up our packages, he says thank you and no response from Brianna. Fine, don't thank me, a paying customer, but if someone says thank you, a person working customer service should always thank the customer. What is it with these young people that feel they are so entitled and it should be our duty to serve them! I'm glad I have taught my son better manners! read more

This place is known for friendly people and feeling welcomed. And it's come to my attention that the two times I have been there, the cashier by the name of Victoria B, is so rude, and so unfriendly. It makes me not welcomed and her grumpiness put other in a bad mood. I don't know if it possible to speak to her and re-train her on what good customer service is all about. And keep her negative attitude/ personality at home. Or replace her with someone who actually needs the job and would act and be more thankful in having a job thru these hard times. Last week I visited Hobby Lobby and I felt silly to be as surprised as I was at the size of this store and the many wonders they offer for your "Hobbies" I know that the name of the store says it all but it had been approximately 4 years or more since I visited one and I had forgotten how great of a chain store this is. They did explain that due to COVID19 the store is no longer able to afford to offer their 20 and 40% discount coupons but still they had so many seasonal items on sale. I loved everything I saw! They were definitely running low on décor flowers but everything else was as abundant as their sale prices. This location offers an ample parking lot. Some of the items I saw were cross stitching items, frames, décor flowers, so many Christmas décor items, baking tools, kits different hobbies etc... Loved it!! If you have any DIY hobbies you must bring your wallet and visit Hobby Lobby. read more

Just got back from Hobby Lobby crafts say they are fifty off. At first the cashier was inverting numbers so something for 12.99 she said was 21.99. Then when I asked for the discount she said it was only for some of the beads my daughter was getting. My daughter was happy to be getting her beads so I paid but definitely was not pleased to be robbed. read more

I went to pay for two of the exact same items and they were two different prices. The UPC and item numbers were exactly the same. Management insisted we had to pay the two different prices. I have always had great things to say about Hobby Lobby and shop at the store at every new duty station. If they are going to start slacking on their price point and charging at random...They will lose my business. Very unfortunate and NOT a way to do business! read more

I've always loved Hobby Lobby stores. This location is lacking many items most Hobby Lobby stores carry. When I finished shopping and not finding most of what was on my list, I was disgusted to find one single check out stand open and at least 15 people in line ahead of me. I almost just left the store. By the time I was almost to the check out stand there were at least another 15 people behind me in line. They FINALLY called more checkers to handle the shoppers but not until we all stood in line longer than we should have. I will try not to shop here again when I'm in El Paso. read more

Tempted to leave a 1 star rating, I'm giving this retailer a 3. Purchased several florals. One particular flower stem has same item number, yet 2 different prices. Questioned why the price difference. Annabel who was very friendly, directed my question to head clerk Candace. She proceeded to "explain" ("I'm explaining to you" as she stated) to me that prices have increased and as a result there items in the store have different prices. Asked why they don't change prices or honor the lowest price. She was said that that was what they do. Escalated this to the manager. Leo was kind and forthright. Manager informed me that this was untrue and that items with price increases should be withheld until all lower priced items have been sold. My request is that Hobby Lobby thoroughly train front end staff to embrace customer service. Kudos to Anabel and management for being friendly and showing good customer service. read more
