After calling Mr. Keith, which was after his normal business hours, he graciously opened his shop back up for me to swing by so he could have a look at my water damaged laptop. After a quick look inside, he told me that my hard drive appeared to still be in working condition, while the rest of the computer had been corroded from the water. He quoted me a very fair price for the data transfer of the still working hard drive, but would continue to check into the extent of damage to the computer itself, in an attempt to save me from purchasing a new laptop. I commend Keith for his knowledge and professionalism, and would not only return for any future computer related issues, but I would also highly recommend his services to anyone who is need of repairs. I get a email that my order was ready for pickup about 1 hour later which I didn't understand since I just order it for delivery. I went to the store and couldn't believe they were going to give me the one I returned damaged box. I can't believe how bad Best But is and still want to give out damaged item and it is like the third one I got from them and called corporate and reported it. I will have to shop for Lego sets some where else as I'm tired of getting g damaged boxes and for a collector that is an important thing having a mint box. Best Buy you should be ashamed about this. How would you like it if you bought the item and was damaged and you returned it and ordered another one for shipping and an hour later get email your order is ready and you go to the store and they are giving you the damaged one you took? And I say this for a few reasons. The first one is about as obvious as it is pragmatic. And that is to say...it's only about 5 minutes away from my house. Why drive the length of time that it would take to watch half an episode of South Park when there's a Best Buy practically in my backyard? The second reason I prefer this one is that they seem to have a more vast selection of items, despite their store space being technically smaller. I dunno what it is. But I never really seem to have much difficulty finding the tech that I require from a place like this. Must be the online ordering. Oh! That leads me to my third reason I love this place so. Their contactless curbside delivery is beyond compare. Simply download the app, drive to the store, check in, and they have your order out to you faster than you can download the latest Chrome update. But maybe I'm getting just a little too geektastic for ya over here. Anywho, the app is totally worth the very mild (at worst) hassle it takes to login and navigate. I figure it only makes sense, since most people are like me and probably do a majority of their shopping online now-a-days anyway.
