This restaurant lived up to its 5 star rating! We needed a vegan & gluten free option for my family...this met both. It's a simple restaurant with just regular four person tables. But the service by the Palestinian owners is awesome. The food is spiced perfectly and good sized portions. I had the saffron rice, beef, hummus and chopped veggies with mint. OH MY GOODNESS!! My family & I we're floored by the simplicity of the food but the seasonings made ALL the difference. We're coming back on way home. Well worth the stop!! read more

We were passing through Elko on our drive from the Bay Area to slc and we're looking for something to eat. Tbh our expectations weren't high given that it's Nevada, but omg. This place is INCREDIBLE and truly 5 star worthy. We both got chicken shawarma sandwiches with hummus and tabuleh. It was incredible and very filling. The pita is made in the authentic way, which is uncommon in the west. Also got pistachio baklava. Don't skip this step! Baklava is crucial. read more

How interesting to find a wonderful Mediterranean restaurant hidden in this little western town. We were very happy with all the dishes they were cooked in a way that just made us happy. When my wife is screaming this tastes so good so good over and over and I'm going hey it's taste pretty good well that's kind of a setup for a good experience. Although they serve on paper plates and plastic forks I think it's mostly it's a go place but it sure seems to have a lot of tables for something that's doing a lot of to-go business. I never write reviews, but this place is incredible! I ordered the veggie platter, which was refreshing yet filling. The portions are really generous and balanced, and the food isn't remotely greasy. I especially appreciate finding a delicious, family-owned restaurant that offers vegetarian and vegan options. I'm Armenian, so I grew up on pita bread, and this was truly the best I've ever had. This place was awesome! The service was friendly and kind and they make everything by scratch. The chef and owner with her son made this a family event. We travel from California to Wyoming every year and we stay overnight in Elko. This was our first visit to this restaurant and definitely will be our go to place every year. Not only was the food and service fantastic, but the whole ambience was more than expected. The prices were not expensive as well. I would've been happy to pay more. Best find ever! read more

I have to agree with many of the other reviewers here. Odeh's is a road-tripper's dream of a restaurant find, especially in the wilds of Nevada's "outback." Everything on the menu is made from scratch. The rice, a blend of jasmine and long-grain, seasoned with just enough garlic and turmeric, is as good as it gets. The hummus is creamy and the tabouli is as fresh as if the tomatoes and parsley et al came right out of the garden a few hours ago. The chicken kabobs are juicy and succulent. And if you ask for it, they'll serve up a chilled glass of ouzo that makes it all complete. On top of all that the service is warm and friendly. If you live in Elko, don't miss this treasure. If you are passing through, take time out to give Odeh's a try, even if it isn't mealtime. The place is THAT good! read more

Despite the cook in the back overtly chastising my order because my second dolma entre with fries instead of hummus since we already had more than enough hummus. We found this Mediterranean gem off I-80 during a road trip from California to Colorado. I had the vegetarian plate with fantastic falafel and hummus. My road companion had the Shish Tawook special, which came with lots of chicken. They also make their own pita bread and baklava. Enjoy! read more

Very friendly service and some of the best hummus and pistachio baklava I've had. I love visiting small towns that have a little around the world kick, especially when the food is phenomenal. The chicken and rice was very tasty. The seasoning had a nice snap to it and the chicken was cooked perfect, the hummus on the side I could have easily eaten by itself but perfectly accompanied the taste of the rice and chicken. On recent 5 day road trip to Wyoming from California we stopped in Elko twice. We ate here twice - out and back. It was Soooooo delicious. The Kuba is fantastic, grilled lamb super tender and homemade pitas are great. Very nice people. I'd consider going back to Elko just to eat here again. read more
