4 years ago I left a glowing - pun intended, apologies - for Glo Noodle House, Ari & Chris Teigland's first restaurant. Since then, they've won 3 Michelin Bib Gourmand awards for that restaurant. Eating at Odd Rabbit, their elevation of food/cocktail taste and creativity, as well as dedication to high quality service is easily apparent! This is the more sophisticated sibling to Glo, but still retains the fun and quality found there. The menu (see photo) is varied, with something for everyone. I personally liked the sashimi dishes with the Hamachi as one of my favorites so far. I say so far because we'll definitely be visiting over & over to try *every dish and cocktail* on the menu, plus their large sake selection. I need more of their sushi! The staff was friendly and attentive, ensuring throughout the meal that our table was filled with food and drink, while removing the many empty plates we left throughout the night. Honestly, I'm impressed. We ordered the CUCUMBERS to start which were so fresh - loved the whipped tofu. Then got a SCALLOP & SHORT RIB nigiri and they just melted in my mouth. Lastly got the SHIO ramen which is why this doesn't get five stars. I know it's a salty chicken broth but man that thing tasted like the Dead Sea. Odd Rabbit is good, not great. We had dinner here last night to celebrate our anniversary. The only reservation we could get was for 8pm, which was late for us, but workable. I put in a request to get an earlier reservation, but didn't hear back from them. When we arrived, it was half empty which made me wonder why we made a reservation at all. The food was good, but not great compared to other options in Boulder. We were brought the wrong order a couple of times, but the server made up for it. The servers were super friendly and made good recommendations. In general, I'd give this a 6/7 out of 10. It's new however, so may get better over time. read more

In true Glo fashion, all of their spots pop up in the oddest locations, but somehow they make whatever neighborhood they land in feel like a destination. I've been eating at Chef Chris and his wife/GM Ari's restaurants since they first opened Glo in old Elitch Gardens, and let me tell you, Odd Rabbit does NOT disappoint. Everything I've had so far has been out of this world. It has that familiar Glo magic, but with enough twists and turns that it feels completely new and refreshing. I am SO stoked to see a new restaurant that isn't on Pearl Street, which, with the exception of Cozobi, is, in my opinion, one of the biggest tourist-trap, overpriced, pretentious food scenes I've come across. Odd Rabbit is off the beaten path, and it's absolutely worth the trek. Congratulations to the Glo family, you've done it again. read more

Who orders cucumbers to share? We did and the reviews were true - refreshing and seasoned perfectly with a crunch. Just a perfect starter. For my adult beverage I tried their version of a Pisco Sour with yuzu. It was okay but a little on the grapefruity side for me. For dinner my husband had the Mushroom Sesame Noodles (deep flavorful sauce) and I had the melt-in-your-mouth Bluefin Akrmi Sashimi. Wow!!! What a culinary masterpiece, visiting Boulder from the Bay Area where we are spoiled with excellent sushi options and decided to try something new as we usually always go to Hapa Sushi when in town, walked into Odd Rabbit and was blown away with the exceptional quality of the food, wound up ordering everything from the cucumbers, beet salad to the deserts and every bite was better than the other! Run, don't walk to the Odd Rabbit If you're a gigantic fan of MAYONNAISE. It was everywhere. In the fish, in the salad, just the leftover on the plates would've been enough to last me a year at home. But to be fair, I'm more of a Greek yogurt guy. Pork belly was firm and hard enough to use as a jack stand for a small car. Cocktails were okay, that bumps it to 2 stars. But otherwise, total slop. Cool light fixtures and rude staff is no excuse for Sysco-quality food. This isn't a 1990's underground find in San Francisco, it's at the bottom floor of an apartment building in the outskirts of a medium city. EDIT: I've been informed the many items on the menu don't contain mayo. I apologize. For every usage of "mayo" above, substitute with "mayo or some other oil-based condiment meant to cover up low quality, poorly prepared ingredients." Why is this review so harsh? Because, you know what, it's actually not cool to charge $150 for lazy, low quality food and we've accepted cool decor as a substitute for good ingredients for too long. We have been driving past this restaurant for months now and itʻs always a bit late or there are no reservations available online. Yesterday was our opportunity. When we arrived, there were several 2 tops open but the restaurant was mostly full. The hostess seated us right away. Our waiter was good. The sound level was loud. The food for the most part was very good - The pork belly hand roll was a little unbalanced and still tasty. The mochi dessert was good but a little odd. It came out as one large churro rather than 4 small ones and so it might be hard to share with a larger party. The outside did mimic a churro but the mochi makes it a different texture - not necessarily bad. The ramen was very nice. So you know, this is expensive. Definitely might be worth it for date night, though. read more

Loved this experience at odd rabbit so much! The food, the staff and the drinks were incredible. They were also on top of it for any possible allergies and providing recommendations based on what me and my boyfriend like, as we have different tastes! It provides a great variety for every diet. My first visit to Odd Rabbit was phenomenal. We sat at the Chef's counter. The restaurant is very sleek in design. Didn't feel like we were in an Apartment Complex. Started off with a couple of cocktails Sunrise at Okinawa and Bees & Flowers both were great. Ordered the Gem Lettuce and Cucumbers. Very flavorful. We tried Snowcrab and Tuna Poke Temaki again very good. Also, Otoro, Chutoro, Hamachi, and Scallop decent quality sushi. The highlight was the Gem Lettuce. Food was comforting. Confit rabbit cake and Iberico pork steak with mushrooms were outstanding. Scallop aburi was so good. Pass on the crispy rice sushi - too hard and chewy. Odd Rabbit, use the uni somewhere else please! Shoyu ramen broth was absolutely delicious but noodles could have been better - felt store bought, not homemade. Had an absolute disappointing experience tonight at odd rabbit. We came for our friends 21st birthday and received terrible service from our server Claire. She was uninterested in serving us and had the rudest tone and made comments on how we wanted a side of soy sauce for our sushi. Apparently it's not normal for guests to want a side of soy sauce or ponzu at a sushi restaurant. She was inattentive and genuinely gave us an unpleasant dining experience. We said it was our friends birthday on the reservation and even told her and there was not even a happy birthday or anything at all. Not that it was expected but the minimum amount for a server to do is not be making guests uncomfortable. read more

We just came home from a wonderful meal at Odd Rabbit. The service was excellent. Our party of six had multiple dishes- ramen, cucumber salad, beet salad, chicken wings, rice cakes, sashimi, hand rolls and two desserts. Everything was just delicious and served beautifully. TLDR: Loud and overwhelming ambiance, terrible management, great server and good food. This was our first time trying this restaurant and we were disappointed. The food was good and our server was amazing and gave great recommendations (the cucumber salad and chutoro were delicious). The issue began with the fact that we could barely hear each other in conversation due to the distracting ambient noise. Though, our biggest problem came from the manager that "welcomed" us. He was dismissive when greeting our group of 3 and when we asked him to keep our birthday dessert (brought from our favorite bakery) in the back until the end of our dinner, he responded, "Oh but we'd love for you to try OUR desserts," which was simply off putting. We specifically came for a special birthday and put it in our reservation as such, so there was an expectation that our dinner would be treated like a special occasion. Instead, we were brushed off and not even our wonderful server was informed of the birthday; he was in fact surprised and apologized for not bringing us a free dessert. We ended up taking our dessert back and celebrating the rest of our night at home.
