Original 84 year old floors in office and master.

Our home was built in 1937 with red oak floors. A previous owner refinished the main areas, except for the carpeted master and another bedroom. The other bedroom had been sanded likely later, but not finished and didn't match the hallway. My wife wanted to replace the carpet, but I had found Mike after looking everywhere for a real pro. However, the timing wasn't right. It turned out later that my wife was visiting her parents for a week over the 4th of July. I called Mike and he had a lucky gap and could start on the 1st and finish on the 4th. All we needed to do was empty two rooms of furniture, the small office off the master, the walk-in closet, and a walk-in closet in the hallway. The pictures show it all. Two days to sand, fill and sand and apply the first coat of the finish. Sand and polyurethane on the third day and finally done on the 4th of July. In all, Mike did the two rooms, the small office and two walk-in closets and long hallway, and even patched a chip in the old floor in the living room! The price was fair and done professionally. Mike is an expert and leaves everything clean and beautiful.

So beautiful and no more metal registers.

I'm the director of restoration at a schoolhouse that was established in 1895. The wood floors were replaced in the 1950's and I don't think they had ever been refinished. So I had 70 year old floors, damaged in several areas and some areas that had missing wood all together. I reached out to three contractors and Mike at Oceanside Hardwood Flooring gave the best quote, plus he was more knowledgeable about the floors than any one else. He told me I had white oak instead of red oak. We discussed whether to stain them or keep them natural and I'm so glad I listened to him and kept them natural. They turned out absolutely beautiful. I highly recommend Oceanside Hardwood Flooring. Mike is genuine and dedicated to excellent work. Really, the pictures speak for themselves...so happy with everything!

    Mike sanding the floor down

We recently had 55 year old flooring repaired, sanded and finished. During the bidding process, Mike took an incredible amount of time answering questions and making me knowledgeable about the process. Way more than the competition. Once the work started he kept me in the loop at all times. At the end, we had 55 year old floors that looked better than brand new. He also gave us floor protectors to protect his amazing work! The only negative part was realizing that we won't need his services until he's likely retired. I'd recommend his work to anyone and everyone.

There was zero pressure and no upselling--just honest, trustworthy advice that helped us get exactly what we needed. When it came to installation, we had Jeff and his three sons, and I cannot say enough good things about them. This four-man crew worked together so seamlessly, and I was genuinely amazed at how fast they completed our entire upstairs. They handled everything: tearing out the old carpet, carefully moving heavy furniture, and putting every single piece back nicely when they were done. We felt so lucky to have Jeff and his sons on our project. If you are considering new flooring, you would be incredibly lucky to get this crew. I would recommend Tri-City Carpet to anyone!

GOEPOXY - ALL THE WAY!…read more What is epoxy, you ask? Epoxy for garages is a durable, two-part resin coating--typically a mixture of resins and hardeners--applied over concrete floors to create a seamless, chemical-resistant, and high-gloss surface. It protects against oil stains, tire marks, and cracks while lasting up to 10-20 years. It is highly customizable with colors and, for added, strength, can be finished with decorative flakes. Key Features and Benefits are mainly: Durability: Resistant to heavy, impacts, and chemicals, making it ideal for high-traffic garage environments. Easy Maintenance: The smooth, non-porous surface makes cleaning oil spills, dust, and debris quick and simple. Protection: It seals concrete, preventing moisture infiltration, mold, and mildew. Aesthetics: Transforms dull concrete into a polished, bright, or decorative space. Whether you plan on storing or doing many things inside your garage. OR, if you are car enthusiasts (like we are) and want your garage kept bright, remain durable, and look esthetically clean, then getting epoxy done is the way to go. It also helps the valuation of your house increase ($$$$) as well, if you don't already know. And lastly, it makes the garage, a typically dingy place in general to look at, look more esthetically pleasing and welcoming. With that, we decided to partner with Daynan at GoEpoxy for this job. We thought of doing DIY. But if it only lasts about 2ish years, then what's the point? No way jose. We want long lasting, expertly done, in order to make our home look amazing. We gathered several quotes from other companies around the area, but GoEpoxy gave us the most competitive rate for our 2.5 tandem front/back garage. You won't even believe how much the other guys were pricing us at, only for them to do a 1 day rush job. No thank you. I leave this up to the OG, Daynan for this job. After our initial consultation on the phone, Daynan was amazing with keeping us informed of weather updates (wild rainstorm just passed over SD this week), delays, if any, and approximate arrival time. We kept in touch through phone call and text, which was very much appreciated. On the day of our service, he arrived promptly and already knew how to get started with the job. His knowledge and expertise lit up as he guided us on what his approach for completing the project is, how long it'll take, additional areas to cover, all the way up to how to re-engage the garage after the epoxy has completely cured and wanted our garage to auto open/close again. I cannot recommend him enough. As a matter of fact, he was recommended to us by someone from our builder, which again, goes to show the level of craftsmanship, expertise, and loyalty other companies have with GoEpoxy.
