I was seated with the older male technician (he looks like a grandpa) who sits at the first desk on the right next to the entrance and window. The salon was busy that day, and multiple people were present, but not a single person stepped in during or after what happened. This injury occurred while he was removing my acrylic nails. Instead of safely soaking them off, he used the unsafe "popping" method, forcefully prying the acrylic off my natural nail. During this process, he was rough, rude, and aggressive, and he clipped my actual nail that was still attached to the skin, not dead nail or cuticle. This caused an open wound, active bleeding, and exposed nail bed. When I questioned why he was applying glue and a top coat after injuring me, he said he was going to add an additional nail tip because he had clipped my nail. I clearly said no. Despite that, he still applied nail glue and added a nail tip to my finger without my consent, directly over an injured area. When I reacted in pain and tried to pull my hand away, he grabbed my finger again and continued. I pulled back again to look at my finger because I was scared and wanted to see the injury. He tried to stop me from looking at my own injury and did not want me to see it. Instead of apologizing or getting help, he became verbally aggressive. This was not a minor accident. Part of my living nail attached to skin was clipped, leaving my finger raw, bleeding, and painful (photos included). What makes this worse is that even though the salon was full, no staff member intervened, checked on me, or addressed the situation. I did not feel safe. I did not feel respected. This is a serious safety, hygiene, and consent issue. I strongly do not recommend this salon. Management needs to take responsibility for technician behavior and how client injuries are handled.

Went there while visiting from out of town and got a dip manicure (something I've been doing for…read moreyears, I have had one a month since 2017). It was clear the man doing my nails was rushed and sloppy, but he followed the steps that I've seen at other salons so went with it. One nail chipped THE NEXT DAY. What was I doing you ask? Obviously something super hard on my nails because everyone knows dip can last while, right? Wrong. I was opening my wallet. I had to file my nail significantly down to hide it. Two days later, another nail chipped. What was I doing that caused this? Putting on a pair of pants. So that's two chips in 3 days. It's now day 5 and three more nails are very close to chipping. The edges are sloppy. It's laughable this is how they perform work, but I understand mistakes happen. I call the salon and ask for a refund and offer to send pictures. They refuse to entertain it, saying it's not their policy and I should have spoken up at the time. Spoken up about...what? Should I have had a sixth sense to know my nails were to chip? Come on. They did mention they have a 2 week guarantee, however being from Chicago and visiting, this is obviously not feasible. So I guess go here any expect poor quality but if you can go back every day? Who has that kind of time? Likely won't be back to ABQ, but putting this out there for local ladies. See pics below and good luck! Update 1 - 2 more nails have chipped since I wrote this 3 hours ago. All I did was put on my coat and reach in my purse for my wallet. Such a joke. A dispute has been filed with my credit card company with plenty of proof of this poor service. Update 2 - 7 days after getting this manicure, 9/10 nails are chipped. The salon refuses to do anything. This is without a doubt the worst manicure I've had in my life. Regular polish would have lasted longer. Avoid this place at all costs.

I appreciated that I was able to call the same day I got the appt because time was tight for us. Services* - luxury pedicures that were $49 each The 2 ladies who oversaw our services were very professional and friendly. They asked if we wanted gel polish but we went ahead with regular polish. Once done, we sat there to let it dry and once ready, we asked them for the salon slippers as we had flip flops with some straps that may have disturbed the polish job. The concerns I had were: - I didn't pay attention if they put a top coat on before they turned on a fan to dry my toes. From my experience, they typically put top coat after the color polish has dried so I'm unsure if my MIL & I received a top coat. - from the pictures, it looks like the lady who did my service didn't clean up around the toenail so there are some polish residues on my skin - services*: I wish they would've communicated in advance that it'll be additional charges to take gel polish off for my MIL. I don't mind paying for the service if it's on their site or menu but it took me by surprise. Overall, I was charged $114 and some change for 2 luxury pedicures ($49) and 1 gel polish removal ($16). I ended up tipping $10 each (so total with tip was $134). Also fyi - I paid with credit card so if there was a credit card fee, I was not told/aware. I really value the staffs friendliness and the salon is SO cute and clean. It truly felt like a relaxing spa while we got our nails done. My toe nail had brittled off due to the excessive filing, and my nail bed was exposed, she applied acrylic over my bleeding nail bed saying it would be fine, but it kept burning. I asked if we can stop and just do the refund, she rudely threw the acrylic got up and said "keep your money and get out" not refunding me the full amount. I no longer wanted to argue so I just left.
