So I went in for new nail set and pedi, the staff was very very nice and friendly, their work on the other hand was not so great. They both took a very long time and both ended up sucking. My pinky nail chipped two days later. This is not my regular nail place so I wanted to keep it simple, I asked for silver chrome nails, took the guy like 10 min to figure out how to make the chrome stick, and had to get another tech involved and after rubbing the chrome on my nail vigorously it finally stuck, this was a long process, each nail took a long time for the chrome to stick, after all that, there were still pieces of the nail with missing chrome but I figured i'd leave it since he took so long already, a day later the nails chipped and the chrome was coming off like a peel, just peeling off. I am disappointed with the quality of work for the high amount I paid. I paid $175. Went to another nail salon to fix their terrible work, they said they'd never seen it peel like that. read more

Maybe it is and I just had an off day there. After my last visit I wound up in the ER due to a severe toenail infection with pus oozing out of the bottom of my toenail. I saw this place on Facebook and was dying to try this place out! Their place looked amazing. I went in and they have an iPad check in and a wrist temperature check. The staff are super friendly and the place is insanely clean! They definitely sanitize between customers and make sure that everything they use is disposed properly. They have 3 different TVs that are playing different movies so that you can have some entertainment while getting a manicure or pedicure. This place is outstanding!!!!! I just completed a 12 mile training run and really felt the need to be pampered. My regular place was booked. I was recently at Jinja and noticed Joy Spa and Nails had opened. I decided to look on Facebook to find their site and get a phone number. Facebook page showed a really nice space. I called and got an appointment and went right in. As you enter, you are asked to sign in via a tablet and once you are signed up, you have access to discounts for your birthday and collect points for each visit. The place is really beautiful! Very clean and upscale. Sam was my manicurist. We started on the pedi chair. You are given a menu where you select what scale of service you would like. I chose the deluxe pedicure and a manicure. While getting my pedicure, I was able to get a chair massage which I was able to select from a remote menu. The service was great and my toes were looking sharp. Next up, a manicure. I chose the same polish for both my feet and hands. Manicure was great and the hand massage is by far my favorite part. I left feeling great! The service is exceptional and I will be back! It's been a while since I've had a set done so I was on the hunt for a good place. Joy Spa is pretty active on social and their photos are always so nice, so I did my best to message and call to try and get in with the techs whose work was featured. There was no response on social and after a few days and calls, I was finally able to send a photo of the design I wanted to try and find a tech that could replicate it. I was assured that all the techs were good and any of them could do a great job. When I arrived, the salon was nice and clean, everyone was very busy and I was taken back to start my nails pretty quickly. At first, I was confused about who was doing my nails but realized the gentleman who prepped me would pass me along to a tech after getting my service started. My tech, Amy, was very nice, very quick and very good! She easily matched the photo I had shown her, my service was done in a little over an hour and the price was fair. I have been a customer for 5 years. I took my husband in for a manicure today. Simple. They charged him for a $30 manicure where he refused any polish. However, since he agreed to a buff they charged him $5. The clear polish is free . I live in the neighborhood across the street and I've been a customer for 5 years I'm just a little offended that they also charged me 45.00 for a dip, 5.00 for soak off, 5.00 to shape, 10.00 to trim cuticle, 10.00 for chrome that I agreed to, cost them .50. , charged my husband $30 simple manicure and $5.00 to buff but the clear polish manicure was free and included . What a joke not to mention they have destroyed my natural nail because they treat, sand., and file all nails like artificial nails. Can I afford everything they charged me? I had the dip done and in less than 7 days two of my nails chipped very badly. One of the chips are large and jagged. Best pedicure and salon experience I've ever had!! I called them to see if I needed an appointment, after a short conversation they invited me to "come on over, we will take care of you" I was pleasantly surprised when entering the salon. It's beautiful and sparkly clean. I was greeted right away and asked to sign in. They have a tablet at the front counter that signs you in and puts you in line. I only waited maybe 10 minutes and was taken right back. Which is amazing because they were BUSY. The stations are well kept and super clean. I even observed them cleaning chairs between clients even thing they were so busy. I was given a menu with details and prices as well as two books of available colors. When my tech arrived, all of the supplies were individually packed and sealed. Lotion, scrub, tools, etc. My tech took excellent care of me, I'm sad I didn't catch his name so I could call him out here. It was honestly the very best pedicure I've ever had. I typically get acrylic with gel on top but I like my nails short as I work in IT. I went in for a pedicure and was charged over $100! Folks, this was their basic pedicure but I did have the gel polish. I also had a design on both big toes. The design was $7 for both but was charged for a full ombré. When I questioned the guy checking me out, he gave me some song and dance for the ridiculous price. My polish was one color. Interestingly, they had tried to overcharge some other customers before me. I am disappointed in how unethical this spa is becoming. They have 2 strikes on my list.
