    "3 week old" dip manicure I was trying to get for free...

    I loved polish. I've gone here for years. Yes, it's pricey but they always do a good job. However, I went to a new person last time and my nails left a lot to be desired. I should have gone straight back in, but I was in a hurry. After 6 days, they were chipping badly. I went back in and Ashley fixed them. By day 10, they looked awful. Unfortunately that was a Sunday. So I made it in by day 12 and told Ashley what happened. I just wanted to start over with new dip, fully intending on paying. I just thought they'd want to know what happened. They nail technician proceeded to tell me my nails looked over two, more like three weeks old. I told her they certainly weren't even to the 2 week mark. She kept arguing with me about this. She then proceeded to tell me that it must have been my fault from chemical cleaners. I do not use chemical cleaners and wear gloves to do my dishes. I'm not really sure why I was berated but I definitely was just looking to be acknowledged. Maybe a "thanks for bringing this to our attention". When I checked out Ashley she told me that they only guarantee their nails for one week. $45 dip manicure for one week. Previously, I was told dip lasts 2-3 weeks... My nails look nice now but I will not go to polish again. Very unfortunate.

    I checked out this new place that popped up in my "hood" since I didn't have time to see my nail lady on the other side of town. I arrived an hour before closing and was worried I'd be rushed. The tech did manicure and gel nails for me and here's my notes: * I was rushed. I felt it and it was like she was working on an assembly line of nails. * she rushed so much in shaping the nails that nails are oddly shaped. I asked for square tip and I got multiple that are lopsided. * she didn't coat very carefully with each coat. I felt rushed because of the lack of care. * She did 9 coats!! NINE!! I think these nails will last a long time! Base coat, color, glitter with coat, base coat again, top coat... wow! *the gel finish looks super sparkly and pretty * price is very affordable * manicure job was well done * the salon is spacious, sleek and modern look with good dance music playing So I'm happy but I wasn't wowed. They look good but if you look at the details, they're not great. Soooo, this is a matter cedar bag review. I would return for convenience if need be but not THE spot ***update*** I've come here a few more times because of the sheer convenience of it being right by my house and they do have a lot of colors. Every time I've been here, I have not been treated warmly. I always feel like they see me as just a number and I'm just waiting to be called "NEXT!" So far, I be been here 45 minutes and though they say me at a station and wrapped the leftover gel(2), no one has yet to tell me who's going to do my nails. When I picked the first color they said it doesn't come out well so I picked another only to be told they don't have that one. Sigh... I'm still waiting. Now it's been a solid hour yet no one seems to be coming for me. They've taken three other people so far and maybe they all had an appointment but I don't know... An another one was just seated next me and she seems to have someone already working. Wow. I really shouldn't settle for the glitz and glamour look but ZERO service. I'm really feeling annoyed and neglected right now. I've just changed to one star because of that. I know the last two were just a walk in just like me. They're so not organized... what's the point of signing in with time stamp??? Too bad my nail tech is so far away

    Polish is an excellent salon on Albuquerque's west side. The salon is clean, spacious and modern. Everyone that works there is friendly and professional. Sarah did an excellent job on my nails; I'll be coming back again!

    Thy gave me the best gel pedi & dip powder mani I've ever had! I went in thinking I would just get a gel mani but she made some suggestions based on my natural nail goals and I'm so glad I decided to roll with it. Her attention to detail was balanced perfectly with skillful speed and efficiency. 5 stars - for a beautiful, clean, COVID-compliant salon, and for Thy - a true artist. I will definitely be back.

    The salon is high tech, clean, and modern. The staff is friendly and patient. This was my first time getting dip nail polish at this location, and it is definitely a game changer. Two days after I got them done, I chipped my pointer and middle finger polish when I slammed my fingers into my car door (I missed the door handle). The dip polish got the runt of it, but my nail was fine (I suspect it's because of all of the layers of the polish). I went back to the salon 2 days after chipping them and told them that it was due to my negligence. They redid the two chipped nails and didn't charge me! I let them know that it wasn't their technique and I was at fault, but they refused to charge me after the fact. It was a pleasant surprise and I can confidently say that their professionalism and friendliness is what will bring me back for the rest of time!

    Really like the way they did my nails they were a little snobbish but did a fantastic job I'm very picky when it come to my cuticle area I have no complaints about the job quality

    Horrible traumatizing experience. The guy I was unlucky to get cut two fingers and most painfully one toe. He did not apologize as I was bleeding but instead roughly wiped the blood with gauze while quickly painting over. I was in shock & told him this was unacceptable & he is too rough. He did not respond at all. I called the owner after leaving as I am worried about infection and she did not return my call after being assured that she would. I have never written a bad review of a spa before but since the owner, her employee will not address this health issue I want to make sure to warn others I will seek medical attention if my toe swelling does not subside by tomorrow.

    I really wanted this nail spot to work out. I arrived around 6:30pm on a Thursday but they went ahead and got me in. I choose my nail color, which I was happy to see that they had fresh polishes, (not like other shops I have been in the area , with old polishes that need to be changed out). The water was prepared for me and I waited in the chair until the nail tech was finish with the current client. I saw menu and thought that was the only menu they had. I asked for the deluxe pedicure, since I wasn't asked which type I wanted. The nail tech did a great job getting my nails clipped and trimmed. In the middle of my pedicure she did clean her previous clients bowl while working on my feet and use the same gloves while doing so, I wasn't so happy about that. My message was ok, not the best I have had--but it was the end of the day and she told me that they had been busy. At the end of my service I learned that my nail tech did not give me the full nail menu and their was a larger menu. I feel if I'm the client and you want my business I should be shown all the options, especially if there is a more expensive option. I may give them another try, but I wasn't really happy about not being given full options and the cleaning of the other pedicure chair during my visit. Other than that the service was good and my pedicure turned out good.

    Ten manicure and ten pedicure chairs. Plenty of room for colors, glitters, and more chatter. Generally, I'll ask for the same thing everywhere - a regular mani/pedi. Nina was kind, she took her time with my nails, and recommended a collagen hand mask when I disclosed my hands needed something *extra*. Although Polish Spa Lounge has been open for nine months, they have a number of regulars coming in. This was my first time there and I was extremely satisfied with the service and attention to detail.

    Have been here about 3 times and spent close to $100 every time. Pretty expensive for mediocre work at best. Anyways, I called ahead and had an appointment since I know the weekends get busy. When I showed up, they had me waiting 30 minutes past my appointment time for a new set. Now short on time and having an hour to get this done, I made sure to show the tech a picture of what I wanted and asked if she could do it in under an hour. If not, I would gladly reschedule for another day. It wasn't anything crazy, picture below (clear acrylic with a thin white French tip). They said they wouldn't have time for a new set but if I did a rebase instead, it could be done in time. I was reluctant but decided to trust them. I said if you think it will be okay and it will look like the picture, let's do it. After an hour, pictured below is what I got. And they were charging me $60.00 for this mess. You can see the line where the old acrylic and new didn't mix and I wasn't able to get the thin line cause of my nail undergrowth which wouldn't have been an issue with a new set. The polish didn't even cover my nail on some fingers. I asked for a manager politely and waited until he was done with another customer. I expressed I wasn't happy with my nails and the issues I mentioned above. His response was well that's common for the acrylic not to mix well and they did the rebase at my request because I was short on time (like this was my fault). So basically they knew about the acrylic problem, rushed it, and still did my nails anyways despite me telling them I could reschedule. I didn't feel like arguing and the manager wouldn't even let me talk, he kept cutting me off and getting defensive. He finally just offered to put some pink polish over the top "free of charge." I was so upset, I was almost in tears. Needless to say, I won't be going back.

Which i was actually happy about, and so was my wife "she thought she found a new salon" She was excited, as was i so i walked in even bought a bunch of hair products and asked Denise if they who was the only friendly one in all salon she booked her next 3 following appintments and wrote them down on the business card. Nevertheless my wife recieved a phone call from Rose wanting to hange the hours of those appointments, instead she went ahead to say the hours my wife wrote down were incorrect. We have proof of the appointments they are the ones who wrote them on a card. So what i think happened here was Rose got her feelings hurt for no reason, next thing you know we get a phonecall from the Owner OF THE GLOW SALON "DAVIDA" my wife had encountered her unprofessionalism while on the chair she said her hair was damaged, and needed to go to a color correctionist. Anyway she called to ruin our valentine 03-14-26 to let her know that my wife was unkind to her staff, and that she was an "UNFIT" CLIENT". I find this very difficult to believe my wife is the nicest most genuine women you will ever meet. So just like anyone or any bussines if you want to change an appointment ask instead of saying oh we have this day at this time so change time a total of 3 appointments. I strongly suggest if The Glow Salon want to keep their clients they learn how to treat peaople nicer. And i mean the Owner very Unprofecional
