In desperate need of a pedicure I decided to try something close. Place was super busy and I didn't have an appointment. Waited about 5 minutes and then went to a chair and waited while soaking my feet. While $60 seemed expensive I need it. The massage chair made it worth it. I recently came for a friend's birthday, we were a party of five and had made reservations beforehand. They sat us all in a row and it required a $20 per person deposit to secure the reservation. Apparently that is their policy for anything over 4 people. I went with one of the more basic pedicure packages, the green tea detox, which I believe was $58 before tax/tip and the additional fee for getting gel was $15. The extra money for gel is always worth it. In the grand scheme of things, they are definitely on the more expensive side for pedicures in Albuquerque however, it is definitely beyond your typical pedicure experience. They absolutely go above and beyond. I don't remember the name of the guy I got, but he was great. He had very strong hands. In addition to the pedicure and everything else, they also do an eight minute massage. You can tell their popular place because every time I've been there has been people waiting. Highly recommend making a reservation. read more

I've been a customer for the last 3 years. The service can be a bit hit or miss depending on the mood of your nail tech and volume of customers . Pedicures are always great, but when it comes to scheduled appointments, be prepared to wait 30 minutes or more. When you finally get seated, the service is rushed because they're already running late for the next appointment. I come here every two weeks for a full set and pedicure the full set service always feels rushed and if you point out something you don't like as they go be prepared to receive an attitude. When you would assume that's the right time to say something instead of when the service is done . (stick to walk-ins for pedicures only) since appointment times don't seem to be valued, and that's the only service that doesn't feel rushed. read more

I got short "cat eye" nails for $80 +$10 tip! $15 for cat eye is ridiculous... Not even a week after getting my set, a nail broke off so I called to get it fixed, whatever just went in. 4.5 stars This was a nice place and neatly decorated. They do take walk ins too. I came on Saturday afternoon for my first pedicure and was taken back quickly. During my short wait, I picked out a polish color and they offered me a choice of coffee, water, hot tea, sparkling water, or soda. The chairs were super comfortable and also had a massager. I went for the pumpkin spice specialty pedicure (which I've been wanting to try that specific one for the last few years). The gal I was paired with wasn't super talkative, but that's okay. The file was sharp that she was using and accidentally cut the corner of one of my toes. It's a little pricey for the specialty ones (and a $15 upcharge for gel), but it was worth pampering myself. 2024 #65 read more

I've been happy with the services here, but I was really disappointed by how I was treated during a recent issue with their in-store ATM. When the machine withdrew $100 twice due to a malfunction, I contacted the business for help. Although they eventually confirmed the error and returned my money, I was spoken to unprofessionally and made to feel like I was at fault--despite it being their machine's mistake. I hope they improve how they handle customer concerns in the future, as no one should feel uncomfortable when resolving an issue caused by store equipment. Update: After posting my review, the owner reached out to address my concerns professionally and assured me that steps would be taken to prevent similar situations in the future. I appreciate the follow-up and will continue to visit for services, especially with Serenity, who always does excellent work. The atmosphere is always so calm and relaxing - it's truly an escape. I've been going to Jenny for years wherever she is. She is always so kind and gentle. My nails have grown healthier because of her care. I love her style and she is always willing to go above and beyond on detail requests. I was really impressed with my first Goldust appointment three weeks ago! I got a full set, and it was absolutely one of the best I've ever had. I've been getting acrylics since the '80s, so I was really looking forward to my fill appointment. I booked it online with the same technician and confirmed my text appointment message. When I got there today, the technician had already taken another client (probably a walk-in). I got another technician, which was fine, but when I book an appointment with a SPECIFIC person, several days in advance, and receive a confirmation, I expect to be seen by that person. The woman at the front desk is very accommodating and pleasant to deal with, but that's sort of the end of the positives. The techs are robotic -- no pleasantries here! That would be tolerable had the services been better. Two pedis I had were actually painful! Even when I said "OW" and pulled back, there was no apology -- just kept on. In another instance, not all of the old polish was removed before the new was applied, so there was a dark "ring" of the old color on my nails. Polish was applied so thickly that it took forever to dry, and looked amateurish when it did. Look around. There are better salons out there. read more

Got the Aromatherapy Pedicure today-regular polish because gel destroys my nails. 2.5 hours after leaving the salon I had to put socks on, (because it's winter and cold). Now my nails are ruined! Bad technician put the polish on WAY too thick and now my toes look worse than if I'd done them at home. They said they'd scheduled me with Mai but when I arrived for my appointment Mai was not available so I was taken care of by Rose. I wanted a French pedi and a glazed white mani. The pedi was nice but quick. I prefer a thicker French strip on my pedi but Rose preferred the thinner. My mani was also nice, even though I just wanted the gel. Rose used the viral Opi Funny Bunny with a chrome powder. My left hand turned out nice but the top coat on my right was bumpy and gritty on a few nails so once I got home I filed them down and reapplied a top coat to smooth it out. I was surprised at the $120 price, plus tip. It was a bit more than I expected so keep an eye on those add ons. read more

He was so polite and also had a great sense of humor. I honestly think most of the staff I spoke with were friendly and broke the ice with their humor. My tip would be if you choose a specialty glitter colour (not the metallic glitter but any multi sparkle glitter) - make sure your nail tech gets a base colour. My appointment was booked for 3:30pm. I received an email and text confirming my appointment. I arrived at 3:25pm and checked in. After waiting until 4pm, I asked how much longer it would be and said that my appointment was for 3:30pm. The woman just said I don't know. At least two women came in as walkins and got in within 10 minutes. I waited until 4:20pm and left. They close at 5pm. I had booked a mani & pedi. There were people waiting that were there before I arrived. They're probably still there. This business does not respect their customers. read more

The salon is pretty and clean. There's a lot of polish colors to choose from and they had the colors I asked for in stock. The nail tech did a wonderful job on my pedi. He was gentle with polish removal and foot care. The final product was exactly what I asked for. I requested the aromatherapy pedicure and was disappointed. The leg mask was forgotten. The 10 minute hot stone massage was actually a barely warm less than 4 minute leg rub. They remembered to charge me the full amount, though. I discussed this with the lady at the front desk and she said "oh" and that was it. I just paid and left. I felt short changed, so for that reason I wouldn't go back. The outside doesn't do it justice and you barely realize it's a nail salon but I decided to call and was fortunate enough to make 6 appointments, all for the same time... GOLDUST was able to accommodate my entire party and had us all in and out and looking fabulous within 90 minutes! I have to admit that we are a rather picky bunch and I cannot say enough great things about this salon!!! Zero complaints, rather nothing but praise!!! The scheduling was prompt and each staff member was professional, attentive and super accommodating; they even text appointment confirmations! The salon itself is high end and impeccably clean; the pedi chairs look brand new. Every staff member that tended to my party was amazing!!! From fills to mani/pedi's to waxing and everything in between... Superb!!! You would never guess it was such a high end, classy establishment from the outside... But just go in! I love this salon. All the techs are great. The receptionist Patience has an awesome music playlist that customers can relate to, not the "noise" or words you can't understand like other salons play. Got a pedicure here. I've never had anyone use a drill on my toe nails before, so I didn't know to stop him. Made my toenails paper thin. Nail polish never dried, scraped off hours later, and the tips of my toenails came with it. It *really* hurts. This is the second time I've had this happen. First time was to my fingernails at a different salon. It will be a very long time before these disasters grow out, and I'm for sure going to get some painful ingrowns. Are there any nail salons that actually know how to care for real human nails? I guess nail salons are only for acrylics and gels now? Us dinosaurs with real nails have nowhere to go. :( Update: the owner has responded and wants to make things right. But obviously there's nothing that can be done until I have toenails again.
