Overall experience - I took my mother in law for pedicures and saw this place on Yelp. I took a chance with making an appt based on the positive reviews. I appreciated that I was able to call the same day I got the appt because time was tight for us. Services* - luxury pedicures that were $49 each The 2 ladies who oversaw our services were very professional and friendly. They asked if we wanted gel polish but we went ahead with regular polish. Once done, we sat there to let it dry and once ready, we asked them for the salon slippers as we had flip flops with some straps that may have disturbed the polish job. The concerns I had were: - I didn't pay attention if they put a top coat on before they turned on a fan to dry my toes. From my experience, they typically put top coat after the color polish has dried so I'm unsure if my MIL & I received a top coat. - from the pictures, it looks like the lady who did my service didn't clean up around the toenail so there are some polish residues on my skin - services*: I wish they would've communicated in advance that it'll be additional charges to take gel polish off for my MIL. I don't mind paying for the service if it's on their site or menu but it took me by surprise. Overall, I was charged $114 and some change for 2 luxury pedicures ($49) and 1 gel polish removal ($16). I ended up tipping $10 each (so total with tip was $134). Also fyi - I paid with credit card so if there was a credit card fee, I was not told/aware. I really value the staffs friendliness and the salon is SO cute and clean. It truly felt like a relaxing spa while we got our nails done. Any backfill I've had in 30+ years included drilling down almost all your acrylic and adding new white and pink. Pedicure was just as bad. Didn't clean under my nails and barely touched my cuticles. My nails didn't even last two weeks. I have been here several times because it's close to my work, and let me just say: I had repeated horrible experiences. I got my nails done and went on vacation the next day, within about four days, 3-4 popped off. When I got home I went back to have them fix them; they didn't charge me to fix them, but charged for a color change, whatever. two days later, another 3-4 came off. I got them fixed again, and was obviously very frustrated. A couple days after that more came off and I just took them all off because I didn't want to deal with them anymore. My grandma and I went in around when it opened for the day. We got served pretty quickly and the pedicures were great. My one mistake was when I got an acrylic manicure with gel. They looked great after but the all popped off within a week. I was constantly re glueing them on so they would last. What impressed me the most when I first walked into Relax Nails was the pedicure liners. At other places you have to worry about remainders in the drains. Relax Nails is very clean and they always sterilize the tools whether they are your own or theirs. It is family owned. Christine and Annie are excellent at what they do. They are up to date on the latest techniques and styles. Larry always greets everyone and is very helpful to the owners. These two girls work quickly and are the best. I was at Relax Nails on Fri, Aug 2, not 2 weeks ago for dip with color for my nails. The technician redipped 3 nails during the process because the powder was defective and left uneven color. I pointed out that other nails had splotchy color, so she ground several more nails down and applied yet more dip. When I suggested she get rid of that jar of powder, she said any jar of powder could have problems. She suggested the problem could be fixed with a coat of gel which I have never needed for my dips before. I asked that I not be charged, but, silly me, I did not check at the register and they did charge me. Now, not 2 weeks later, 2 nails have chipped. I WILL NOT BE BACK. The technician was much more interested in checking her phone than keeping her station clean - dirty equipment, dust all over the work stations!! read more

The worst pedicure I've ever gotten. I ordered the Ultimate pedicure with extra attention to the heels. Elena barely touched my callouses with only a small sponge and paid minimal attention to my heels. She certainly didn't pay any extra attention to anything. She stabbed me twice when clipping and cleaning under my nails. I asked for regular polish and she insisted I needed gel. Gel polish turns my nails white and I do not like it. I finally left with no polish because I can do that at home the way I want. Perhaps the language barrier was too much but she did the absolute bare minimum except cause pain. Went to Relax Nails & Spa with a big group and they accommodated us as best they could! I have to say, they have some awesome options for pedicures. For that alone, I would return. The young man who helped me didn't really cut down or file my nails the way I wanted, but he was professional and his color application was just like I asked. I had the vanilla mint pedicure (same price as a deluxe) and it was wonderful! I didn't feel like he rushed through it and he restored my toes and feet! My first experience here is that there isn't any reason to return. I was able to walk in for a gel manicure. The cost was about $30. The technician who provided the service wasn't very good and I wouldn't return to her. While the decor is lovely and welcoming the service is strictly bare bones; no luxury here. The water to soak nails in isn't even warm! No cuticle cream or oil is used. The massage is cursory, jewelry and watches aren't removed, they just lotion around them. The technician cut me once and took way too much cuticle off so my beds are ragged now. I asked about cuticle softener but was told it's only for pedicures. Terrible. I came with my two friends to get my nails done. They wanted gel and I wanted acrylic nails and I was so excited. They sat me down at a chair and told me it would only be a few seconds. I sat there for forty five minutes while my friends got their gel nails done. They kept insisting that it would only be a few minutes and I just sat there waiting. They sat two women and did their acrylics right when they got there. Then when I was in line PAYING for my friends nails someone finally came up and offered to sit me BACK down. The level of customer service at this establishmentis shocking! It just doesn't exist here. The first time I came here, I thought maybe they are just super busy and stressed. The second time, I made an appointment and was not acknowledged for the 30 minutes I waited. I ended up walking out 30 minutes after my appointment. I'm pretty disappointed about the service here! I came in to get a Mani (Signature $37) & Pedi (Deluxe Pedi $40) comes to $77 + tip which is pretty pricey with the bad service they provided. They never asked me to pick my nail polish color etc... so when I sat down the lady asked me what color I wanted and since I had my feet already in the water I had to explain colors I liked. I also had to ask for a towel over my skirt... though that's very mandatory! See below more... Pedi: Deluxe For the pedicure I didn't get any colors just the scrubs, paraffin wax and cleaning of nails .... and massage (the massage wasn't more than 5min long for the legs and for the hands maybe 3-5min). Mani: Signature They look horrible! The nail polish was not put on my nails properly it looks really bad! It hasn't been even 5 hours and one of my nail polish even has chipped already! You can see in the pictures that the person who did my nails doesn't know how to put nail polish on! I've usually had pretty positive experiences at Relax Nails & Spa. They have a wide variety of nail polishes ranging from chrome, matte, and glossy finishes. While I love their array of colors, I am severely disappointed by my last experience at this salon. I went in for an acrylic rebase, and the manicurists broke my nails. I looked past it, as acrylics are known to weaken your natural nails. However, just one week after getting my nails done, the acrylic broke off of my thumb and ring finger, leaving half my thumb and ring finger exposed. I've never had acrylic break off my nail before like this one did. I was literally just picking up my water bottle, and the acrylic fell off. I'm not sure if this is a reflection of the manicurist or the quality of the acrylic powder, but I just wanted to warn everybody who may get their acrylic done there, expect breakage! read more

I chose this nail salon because of the reviews and I made a appointment for a fill and gel at 2:30. I arrived at 2:15, picked my color and they didn't seat me until almost 3:00. I don't know the guys name but I warned him that my nails are very thin and to be extra careful when using the electric drills. First thing--- 1. He lost control of the drill and it went around my pinky finger into the flesh and made it bleed....ouch! 2. He wasn't planning on removing the loose acrylic from my nails which means I would have gotten fungus. I had to tell the manager and she recommended I get a full set. $$$ *I should have left at that point but I wasn't alone. 3. I had to remind him NOT to pinch my finger because it was in throbbing pain. 4. He glued the new nails crooked and I have pics to prove it! 5. I finally got out of there at 4:30 and was so exhausted that I paid with no tip. Never again will I go to this Nail Spa. * one day later my finger is still in pain. So their laminated sheets have the classic pedicure listed at $21, but I was charged either $23.xx for credit card or $22 cash. Hm, where did that extra $1 come from? I thought tax around these parts of town hovers around 7%, not like the good ol' sunshine state of California where it hovers around 9.5%. I got some ugly toes and am a biomechanics mystery, so I give a warm thank you for every technician who serve my feet. I didn't catch the technician's name, while initially concerned that he was too aggressive with the cuticle care and especially after the slight sting with the alcohol spray prior to polish application, but boy did the final product LOOK GOOD. 40 minutes from the first dunk to top coat then 15 minutes enjoying the massage chair. No blood seen, just tender cuticles. I will return, with cash for that $22 classic pedicure. I went in on a Saturday, called 2 hours ahead for an appointment, showed up 30 minutes ahead of my appointment time, was seated 5 minutes later. They run a tight ship. Nice! read more
