I came to this salon because my usual nail tech is out of state visiting her dad, and my husband booked me an appointment for a pedicure and a rebase. The pedicure was actually great -- the guy who did it did an awesome job and I was really happy with that part of the service. Unfortunately, my experience with the rebase was very different. The tech didn't greet me or say much at all during the appointment. He filed my nails down way too much, leaving them extremely thin and uneven, and the acrylic powder he used was a completely different color than what I originally had from my previous stylist. When I asked for a simple blue French tip with a glitter border, he initially wasn't even going to put a base coat, which would have made the two different acrylic colors visible. When I asked about it, he seemed annoyed. He did one nail for the French tip and asked if it looked okay. I politely asked if the tip could be a little thicker, but he barely adjusted it and immediately motioned for me to put my hand in the curing light. At that point I didn't feel comfortable continuing to correct him because he seemed offended by feedback and wasn't really listening. I ended up leaving pretty unsatisfied. When I got home and looked at my nails more closely, I also noticed that a couple of them were extremely crooked and I actually had to fix them myself. My husband even wanted to go back so they could fix it, but honestly I was already frustrated and didn't want to sit there another two hours to have it redone. I have been coming to this place for quite a while. I loved this place so much that when my friends come in from out of town I always bring them here. I almost convinced my sister to switch from her salon that she's been faithfully going to for quite some time. Well their service lately has been hit or miss. They're not as friendly as they used to be and I wasn't happy with my nails the last time I went, but I thought I would give them one more try, Although they did a good job with both my mani and pedi yesterday, I just didn't care for the service and didn't feel welcomed. No stars for this salon. I've been a customer for many years. I called for an appointment. My appointment set for 10/9 at 2:30. I show up at 2:15 and there's a sign on the door that says "Will return at 3:15". The door is locked, lights on, I look through the window, no one there. So I returned at 3:15. The girl, who is the owner's daughter, asked if I had an appointment and I said it was at 2:30. She said it was now 3:15, (the sign at the door still had not been changed). The salon was empty but she said she had another appointment. She said her mother would return on Halloween. The girl was extremely rude and offered an appointment the following week. She proceeded to say how she was not even supposed to be doing nails as her certificate is in cosmetology and she was only there to help her mother. I liked going to this salon, but this changed everything as she asked me to leave and never come back. I'm sorry she is ruining her mother's business and I understand now why the salon is always empty as I've witnessed in the past. No stars for this shop. read more

I definitely agree with the 1st reviewer. I come to get my toes done every few months, and, while I've tried other west side salons, I always end up back at Lexor. The techs are always friendly, the salon is clean, and the work is excellent. My polish always lasts until my next visit (usually about 2 - 3 months), and I always get compliments on how my toes look, often months after I've had them done. Their pricing is as good as, if not better than other salons I've been to, and since I frequently bring my daughter with me, I like that they have a kid's chair as well. We've had our toes done here since they first opened (they were one of the 1st businesses to move into this shopping center), and I've always been happy with the job they do. A few months ago I came in on Mother's Day, and when I got here they had me come in and get started, even though they weren't officially open for business yet. I guess you could say the bottom line is that I give Lexor 5 stars, 2 thumbs up, and an all around rousing endorsement. If you find yourself on Albuquerque's west side and you want to get your nails done, give Lexor a try. I think you'll be happy with the results. read more

Went and got gel nails and a pedicure. Ended up leaving and having a infection on my right big toe. Went back to tell the lady she gave me an infection, she was rude and told me it was my fault for saying I was because she asked me if I was ok when I said owe when she hurt me! I was fine at the moment but didn't get infected until after the fact!! Don't go here, very rude. Didn't even offer to give me my money back or anything!! Calling the state board and the health department.. So it's been two months and my toe is still completely messed up. Been seen at urgent care and a pediatrist, And taken a course of antibiotics and nothing has changed, only gotten worse.. Never go to this place. Stay far, far away!! read more

Terrible service! As I walked in, I should have immediately left because I encountered a little barking dog that belonged to the owner. I'm also dissatisfied with how unprofessional the owner was by having an argument with someone over the phone as she was doing someone's nails and in the process she was not wearing a mask but customers are asked to wear a mask. During the entire session of my gel manicure she did not wear a mask nor did the girl that was doing my nails. On top of all that, my gel manicure lasted less than a week. I went on a Saturday afternoon around 2:15 pm I was working and had 2 special needs clients who were getting a manicure. The staff was very Kind and helpful. One got a gel mani and the other just a regular mani. They were both charged 25.00 plus tax. One client was so excited the girl offered to paint flowers on her nails. I highly recommend this place. The new owners are great very friendly and they do a great job.the prices are reasonable and the service is amazing. Well worth it! They have lots of variety and wide selection. I really appreciate that they honor there appointments. So if you make one your not there waiting; they actually take you in at your appointment time. I really thought I had found the place I wanted to go. Until today. Very unprofessional. The daughter who also works in the salon is constantly talking about other clients to clients and friends that she is chatting with. Rude comments made to customers about what they want for their services. Trying hard to not be critical, but the one technician they had that I liked they fired her. It is bad enough when employees speak another language in front of customers, but when they are whispering to other people that is rude. Look, I'm a new mom with attachment issues. I basically only leave my kid when he's sleeping. It's a problem, I know. How is this important to this review? Well because, I also am a woman who needs a mani/pedi on the regular. All my beloved spots were starting to get slammed at just the time I was showing up. I had almost resigned myself to giving up. Until I found this spot. I believe its under new management. My loyalty card says Lexor Nails but it also has Alterations written in. The signage on the window has some DIY lettering that also says Alterations but the exterior signage says Lexor. It's confusing, I know. What's not confusing is the kind and helpful techs. They've got some operations kinks to work out but my last 2 mani/pedi's have been great. Basic gel on thr toes and normal mani. Maybe it's the simplicity of what I need. IDK. What I do know is that I'm going to continue to go. Helpful hint for beer lovers. Bring a growler with you on your next trip because Marble Westside is in the same shopping center. I have no idea how this place isn't listed on Yelp yet, but I've found my new regular nail salon. I avoided going here even though it's within walking distance from my house after a friend told me it was pricey (she was wrong). The prices were better or comparable to other west side nail salons an the place was clean, clean, clean! You didn't feel like you'd catch some scary disease putting your feet in the pedicure tub and the instruments came out of an autoclave. The technicians were all super friendly. Best of all for me, they didn't rush. I've been to places where it feels like they're just trying to shuffle you out as quick as possible but they really took their time and made sure the job was done right (which in my case involved taking care of my scary callouses...but my feet are now baby smooth which they haven't been in at least a year.). The lady next to me was having some elaborate Fourth of July pattern put on her toes and she thought one nail didn't look right (it looked fine to me) but her tech redid it without argument and told her he wanted to be sure she was happy with it. Make sure you ask for your punch card to get five dollars off your next visit. Getting my nails done is a rare treat for me but the next time I do I'll definitely be going back here. read more

I had this place recommended to me by several people. I had finally given up on my other salon after a few bad experiences. I was able to walk right in and get started, mind you it was a Monday about 11 so there was no waiting. I didn't get anything special, just a pedicure. The lady didn't talk to me at all, but that was ok. She spent a great deal of time fixing up the mistakes from my last one (see above why). The staff at Lexor nails does the absolute best they can with the staff shortage due to Covid! It's not unreasonable to schedule appointments in a salon! Te is awesome and great at making my ingrown toenails not hurt on a regular basis! The salon is clean and well stocked! Gia does my nails awesome and they always take good care of me! If I could give this nail dump 0 stars I would. I've lived and/or worked in 40 states and had my nails done in all of them and I've never experienced such bad service and such a dirty salon. 1). It's dirty. Check out the sink, the floors, the nail stations. When I asked for sterilized implements they looked at me like I was crazy. 2). When I asked why the technician only put lotion on one foot and leg she got mad and started huffing and puffing. 3) My gel manicure lasted 2 days when it should last for at least 10. I'm guessing this might be because they put nail polish remover in the gel polish. I came here because the majority of Yelp reviews were positive, but I was very unimpressed. I came in on a weekday morning for a mani/pedi. I did not have an appointment, but I hoped they wouldn't be busy (and the door read "Walk-ins Welcome"). They weren't busy, but they also didn't help me quickly. After having me choose my polish color, they had me sit in the massage chair and put my feet into the water. I sat there for 45 minutes and waited. I would've walked out if my feet hadn't been wet. Colossal waste of time - even though one of the workers was available... he was cleaning stuff, straightening things in the shop, checking his phone, etc. He eventually helped me, 45 minutes later. Wow. Oh, and he continued to be on the phone while helping me. The instruments came out of a drawer. Were they one-time use? I seriously doubt it. Had they at least been sterilized? I HOPE so, but I was too scared to ask. I was quite sure the answer would be "what does sterilized mean?" They also had one of the employees kids just walking around and playing the entire time. And they continually stopped "working" on me to get her to stop fussing with whatever she had gotten into. Not professional IMO. I will never be back. read more

I've been here a few times and usually have had a good experience. I went yesterday and after about a half an hour wait was able to get in I was having some gel nails removed and I was getting a simple regular pedi and mani. The gentleman did not use any polish remover instead he took my nails off with the sanding tool and made them very uneven and bumpy all I wanted was clear nail polish and he gave me a topcoat for gel nails which did not stick and flaked off. I had pink nails on my toes which did not come out good either the nail polish was clumpy and looks terrible. I went back the next day and again they use the sanding tool and just put clear nail polish over my bumpy damaged nail bed. When I asked for my money back they refused and only offered to try and fix it I again. I will not let them work on my nails again they have lost a customer! read more

I came here as a walk in right after they opened for the day. I always pass this place when dropping off and picking up my son from school. Also several coworkers of mine went here and recommended it. I was due with my second child in a few days so I figured why not? I will go check it out myself. I don't plan on going back. It didn't feel like the most clean place to me. They did a good job on my nails (I got a pedicure) but I felt like the leg/foot massage could have been much better. I would highly recommend this place. I had gotten off of work around 6:30 6:45. I had arrived at around 7. Let's keep in mind they close at 7. I needed to get a polish and a pedicure. I asked if they would still be able to take care of what I needed done. Sure enough they got the water ready for my pedicure and did my nails. There isn't any places that I know of that would do that. Other places would just tell u "no were closed" and be rude. I was really happy with my nails and toes. They didn't rush or make me feel like I was not wanted there. We had actual conversation. Talked about our families and shared what we liked to do. There wasn't a awkward moment. Showed staff a picture of how I wanted my toes and she stated she would not be able to do it. Asked if I could have someone else do it and it looked nothing like the picture. The person who did my toes got very angry when I told her I did not like how the flower s came out. She told me she would fix it and I waited about 45 minutes after the lady who initially did my pedicure told me she was too busy to fix my toes. Went in to get a gel manicure and not even 24 hours later my nails chipped, went in to have them fixed and the gentleman only re did one of my nails, then just put more clear polish over a chipped nail! Of course not even 2 days passed and that nail chipped completely off. Now it's been 5 days and ALL of my gel polish is either chipped or lifted off the nail. Considering I spent 80 dollars I am not impressed at all. Spend your money else where. read more

I went in for a manicure and what a mistake. My nails looked worse when I left then when I went in. The manicurist was very rude and when I asked her a question she wouldn't talk. One time I asked about the nail polish and she mumbled something. Not sure if she was Asian they are usually very friendly, She was of dark skin but spoke what appeared to be something other than English. When it came time to pay I gave her cash and she didn't know how to make change and had to ask the other girl twice before she got it right. My nails were different lengths after asking her to file them round and some were pointed. It looked awful.The manicure definitely was not worth the 14. I was charged. I came home and had to file them. I wanted to talk to the manager but she was busy. I won't go back and I don't recommend this salon if you happen to have the person I had. Can't speak for the other girl who was very friendly. read more

A friend and I went here for pedicures. We were immediately greeted and set up in two pedicure chairs after picking our colors. The salon was very clean and had a relaxed feeling to it. The ladies working on our feet did a great job and chatted with us. There was no feeling of being rushed or just trying to get us done so they could get us out of their chairs. Pricing was reasonable ($19.99+tax for the pedicure) and we both upgraded our pedicures for $10 extra. I'm interested to see how the pedicure holds up since I've had problems with that from other salons. They gave us a punch card - after 5 or 6 visits you get $5 off. There are also cash (I think it was 5% off if you pay in all cash), group (4 or more got some % off) and birthday (30% if you go on your birthday and show ID) discounts available.
