My friend, who also had a deluxe pedicure, started her service 10 minutes before me and was finished about 10 minutes after I was done???? My service was not relaxing as I knew I was being rushed. What made me want to write this review is the fact that the pedicure lady had to redo some of the cuticles AFTER the polish was put on because she had rushed that part of the service. I did call this to her attention after I bent down and looked at my feet and truly believe she would have just let it go had I not looked closely said anything. However, the technician applied long, pointy oval nails instead. When I expressed my desire for shorter, oval nails, he responded that achieving this look would be difficult due to the width of my nails. This comment was surprising and disheartening, as I had never encountered such a response in my previous experiences at other nail salons. Despite my reservations, I chose to remain respectful and allowed the technician to continue with the service. I had looked at my nails and thought he had done a decent job. While she apologized, my main concern was infection, especially since she tried to continue as if nothing happened. I had to call the owner over due to a language barrier, and she took over the cleaning part of the service. Afterward, I was offered an $8 discount, then $15, and finally $20 after I raised concerns about the service. I still paid $50, which will be the last money I spend there. The owner's response--especially walking away--left a very poor impression. Given the injury, the service should have been fully comped. I would have continued as a customer, but due to how the situation was handled, I shan't be returning !!

When I arrived, the technician did not greet me or make me feel welcome. While my nails were soaking, she began helping another client and was noticeably friendlier and more attentive to that client than she was to me. During my service, I explained that someone had been practicing on my nails. In response, I was told, "You get what you pay for." I found that comment judgmental and unprofessional. Everyone starts somewhere in the beauty industry, and regardless of where a client previously had their nails done, they deserve to be treated with respect. I was also concerned by what I observed during my service. After filing off the acrylic, the technician had me soak my nails in a bowl. She then placed the drill bit/tool she had just used on my nails directly into the same bowl while my hands were soaking. A few minutes later, she removed it from the bowl, reattached it to the drill, and continued working on my nails. Because I had small cuts around my cuticles, this raised concerns for me about sanitation and safety. I left feeling judged and uncomfortable rather than valued as a customer. I was seated with the older male technician (he looks like a grandpa) who sits at the first desk on the right next to the entrance and window. The salon was busy that day, and multiple people were present, but not a single person stepped in during or after what happened. This injury occurred while he was removing my acrylic nails. Instead of safely soaking them off, he used the unsafe "popping" method, forcefully prying the acrylic off my natural nail. During this process, he was rough, rude, and aggressive, and he clipped my actual nail that was still attached to the skin, not dead nail or cuticle. This caused an open wound, active bleeding, and exposed nail bed. When I questioned why he was applying glue and a top coat after injuring me, he said he was going to add an additional nail tip because he had clipped my nail. I clearly said no. Despite that, he still applied nail glue and added a nail tip to my finger without my consent, directly over an injured area. When I reacted in pain and tried to pull my hand away, he grabbed my finger again and continued. I pulled back again to look at my finger because I was scared and wanted to see the injury. He tried to stop me from looking at my own injury and did not want me to see it. Instead of apologizing or getting help, he became verbally aggressive. This was not a minor accident. Part of my living nail attached to skin was clipped, leaving my finger raw, bleeding, and painful (photos included). What makes this worse is that even though the salon was full, no staff member intervened, checked on me, or addressed the situation. I did not feel safe. I did not feel respected. This is a serious safety, hygiene, and consent issue. I strongly do not recommend this salon. Management needs to take responsibility for technician behavior and how client injuries are handled.
