They go above and beyond to meet the needs of customers. Today was special. I am preparing for surgery on my hand and went in to have the gel on my nails removed. Mia, a new tech, was so careful and concerned about not hurting me. In a hurried world that oftentimes feels full of negativity, it is nice to go to a business that consistently provides a high quality service by caring, competent staff.

My pinky nail chipped two days later. This is not my regular nail place so I wanted to keep it simple, I asked for silver chrome nails, took the guy like 10 min to figure out how to make the chrome stick, and had to get another tech involved and after rubbing the chrome on my nail vigorously it finally stuck, this was a long process, each nail took a long time for the chrome to stick, after all that, there were still pieces of the nail with missing chrome but I figured i'd leave it since he took so long already, a day later the nails chipped and the chrome was coming off like a peel, just peeling off. I am disappointed with the quality of work for the high amount I paid. I paid $175. Went to another nail salon to fix their terrible work, they said they'd never seen it peel like that.

Aside from a nice looking manicure, I wanted to find a place that actually cleaned their equipment so I wouldn't be afraid of getting a nail fungus. The owner explained that she purchased a machine to sterilize the equipment, going above the basic disinfecting laws in place. Went there while visiting from out of town and got a dip manicure (something I've been doing for…read moreyears, I have had one a month since 2017). It was clear the man doing my nails was rushed and sloppy, but he followed the steps that I've seen at other salons so went with it. One nail chipped THE NEXT DAY. What was I doing you ask? Obviously something super hard on my nails because everyone knows dip can last while, right? Wrong. I was opening my wallet. I had to file my nail significantly down to hide it. Two days later, another nail chipped. What was I doing that caused this? Putting on a pair of pants. So that's two chips in 3 days. It's now day 5 and three more nails are very close to chipping. The edges are sloppy. It's laughable this is how they perform work, but I understand mistakes happen. I call the salon and ask for a refund and offer to send pictures. They refuse to entertain it, saying it's not their policy and I should have spoken up at the time. Spoken up about...what? Should I have had a sixth sense to know my nails were to chip? Come on. They did mention they have a 2 week guarantee, however being from Chicago and visiting, this is obviously not feasible. So I guess go here any expect poor quality but if you can go back every day?
