My brother wanted to come here for dinner for his birthday. Sophisticated Upscale restaurant with a menu that serves up steak and seafood. This place is breathtaking it has a beautiful view overlooking Chicago's Downtown. Everything was top notch from the beginning to the end. Great place to take photos. This was a wonderful dining experience for me and my family. The servers were super attentive and professional. The music playlist was from back in the day which was remarkable. The food could of been a little better for the prices we paid. I ordered the Free Bird Farms Chicken - which came with a Spinach bread salad, roasted tomatoes, Olives, Balsamic. Impressive place to dine.

Well, it was a good thing that I got a chance to come back again, forgetting to put in a review from the last visit I had. To be fair that last time was a pick up order and this time I got to sit in it was crazy because the reservations on OpenTable of available times got taken pretty quick. We decided to chance it and see if we could get seats at the bar. We might've waited 5 to 10 minutes and luckily it happened for us. Our bartender was super great making some delicious drinks for us. My Old Fashion was pretty good. I know my coworkers appreciated the tequila choices. We shared the appetizers and tried each other's main dishes, and got the lump meat Crabcake and the tuna tartare both were excellent. I got the Seabass and my coworker got the blackened snapper. Both were delicious. If you wanna treat yourself, this is a great place to go to.

Was going downtown for late night event and decided to to head in early for a few cocktails and snacks. I had heard that this establishment had a nice happy hour menu. Upon coming to the restaurant was very surprised at the amount of space this restaurant had. Located within the London House, I always thought it was just a small section of the hotel. Boy, I was wrong. Even the lounge area bigger than expected with huge windows, booths and wrap around bar. For Happy Hour we got some cocktails and glass of super cold white wine. The HH offered $5 off specialty cocktails and $8 glasses of select wines. For food we grabbed the Wagyu burger, crab cake sliders and a sushi roll. My husband really enjoyed his burger. I loved the Prime Roll which was unique in the fact that it had Tempura Shrimp, Cream Cheese, Scallion, topped with a thin slice of Beef Carpaccio. Would definitely order this again. Lastly we tried the crab cake sliders. The sliders were okay, felt it was overwhelming with cheddar cheese and that threw off the taste for me. All in all, it was a nice experience. Our server Gabriel was engaging and good with making recommendations. I would come back for Happy Hour and even dinner. I saw that they have a warm butter cake and it looked divine. Further someone had the HH fish tacos and it looked full of fish.

As a vegetarian, I wasn't expecting to enjoy a steakhouse outing as much as I did. I reserved a table for my nephew's birthday because he wanted to experience an-American steakhouse. He did love his Wagyu and his dad enjoyed the lamb chops immensely. I was spoilt by a vegetarian maki roll and lasagna. And oh, the desserts were possibly the best I've had in Chicago lately. Their pastry chef needs a raise and an award! We were disappointed in one aspect - we had to wait about 45 minutes for our table to be ready, even though we had a reservation.

I had a wonderful experience at Ocean prime this past weekend. I went for a restaurant week, but was amazed by the menu and had to order even more than the restaurant week menu. Our service was fantastic. Our server was fast and knowledgeable about the menu. The drinks were so good. I highly recommend the cucumber gimlet. I was not expecting to eat sushi that evening, but I'm so glad I did because the sushi was outstanding and apparently they have their own sushi chef in the house. You can't go wrong with anything you order off this menu.

I visited Ocean Prime for dinner. After stepping off of the elevator I was immediately greated and assisted by staff. The restaurant has a warm deep tone to and a great location on Wacker Drive. The food was hot, executed well, flavorful and good sized portions. I ordered the calamari as an appetizer and my guest and I split a ribeye steak and order of lobster tails. We also ordered the seafood Cobb salad and Parmesan French fries as an accompaniment. The steak was flavorful and cooked well, the calamari was crispy and fresh, the lobster tails were not over steamed and a good portion size, the seafood salad was crisp and fresh and the fries were hot and crispy. We also ordered a mocktail and martini and they were both freshing and balanced well.

Loved Ocean Prime. Great service, high quality of food and overall nice dining experience. The downtown location is easy to find and they offer convenient valet parking. I went for my birthday and it was a lovely experience. Would definitely recommend.

We visited Ocean Prime for a birthday celebration, and it was exceptional from start to finish. The cozy, inviting ambiance set the perfect tone for the evening. A huge thank you to our server, Jimmy. His service was impeccable; he was patient and took the time to explain the menu in detail, which we truly appreciated. The food was amazing across the board. We shared a variety of dishes, including the lobster bisque, ahi tuna tartare, and the deviled eggs topped with caviar. For mains, the snapper, shrimp scampi, teriyaki salmon, and chicken were all cooked to perfection. Make sure to try the smoked gouda tater tots and mashed potatoes as sides--they were delicious. We ended the night by sharing the warm butter cake with ice cream, which was the perfect birthday treat. Even as non-drinkers, we had a fantastic time. This is an excellent restaurant and we highly recommend it for any special occasion!

We came for happy hour and loved their food menu. The lamb lollipops were cooked to perfection and would 100% order that again. The calamari was tossed in this sweet chili sauce that I wasn't expecting and was reminiscent of orange chicken... which I do like but was surprising. They did not skimp on the crab in the crab cake so that was great. The scallops were so tender and the short rib was melting in my mouth. Tuna tartare was also delightful. Service was amazing and vibes were great. Would definitely come back again!!!

Came here before a show and did their happy hour. Absolutely loved my cocktail, so sweet and the perfect start to dinner. I then ordered the lamb lollipops and the prime signature roll. They both were absolutely DELICIOUS!! The only thing i would say was the lamb chops were slightly fatty but the flavor was on point and they were tender. The ambiance is classy and the service was good but not great. I had to wait like 15 mins to get my bill as it was pretty busy but after the 3rd time asking, they finally gave it to me. They comped a drink so that slightly made up for it.

I've been to plenty of ocean primes but this one is my favorite. The service was nice. The restaurant is actually stunning on the inside. The hostesses were lovely and the food was so fresh. The lamb chops are dreamy they make you want to return over and over again. Worth the visit.

Ocean Prime has a great happy hour and it's all day on Mondays! The surf and turf scallops and braised beef was amazing, best thing on their happy hour list! The scallops were perfect and the beef was call apart delicious. The house salad was a good salad but nothing special. The hamachi was also amazing with a great sauce and was so fresh. I got a butter cake to go and it was so rich and delicious, topped with icecream and a raspberry sauce. It's easily shareable. The bartenders were fantastic and so friendly. The hostess weren't super friendly since I was looking for bar seating. It was a nice lounge vibe right near the riverwalk so it's great for a post dinner walk nearby.

We were able to get in without a reservation on Tuesday evening around 6pm. They do take reservations if you're coming here on a busy night. We sat in the bar area for happy hour. On Tuesdays they offer half priced maki rolls. The sushi was so good and fresh. My husband said the complementary popcorn was the best popcorn he's ever had. That's saying a lot for him. He loves popcorn. I would only come here for happy hour (Mon-Fri, 4-6pm, except half priced sushi all day on Tuesday).

Do they still offer happy hour?

    Following?

Can anyone provide prices? There are no prices on the menu. I can’t afford to eat out all the time but heard and read good things about this restaurant. But there are no prices listed anywhere. I’d like to know the price points

For a couple I would say the ad average dinner tab would be $75.00 per person the average steak is $55.00 for a dry aged steak add a drink and extra now your looking at 75.00-80.00 a person.

    Are there vegan options?

    I'm not sure.

Is there valet? If so, how much does it cost?

Next door @ the London house hotel . 14.00$

    Is there a dress code?

dress for impress! Don't like people dress too low to a steak house in spite of they don't really that strict. But Ive seat next to people in some steak house dress very casual and very easy to get intimidate just not very respectful.

I enjoy solo dining, does the restaurant accommodate this type of customers?

    Yes, they'll accommodate anyone!

We were so happy with everything! Our server was wonderful! The entire staff was so friendly and on top of their game! We never waited for anything. They were immediately refilling our waters, offering more bread, removing dirty plates, replacing silverware, and offering the next course. It was perfect! The views!!! I think there's not a table in NoMi that doesn't have an amazing view. The main, large window faces the lake (East). Arriving just at 7, you get the full affect of the city, and lake, and then the sunset and lights of the buildings. It was absolutely magical. I couldn't get enough of it. The inside of the restaurant is beautiful and clean, but honestly it could have been a pit and I wouldn't have noticed. You'll be focused on the views for the entire evening. The food!!! Everything is very fresh. It's all well-prepared. Everything was delicious. There's a good variety of dishes to choose from. Plenty of healthy, low-carb options. We each ordered our own appetizers. I had the crispy Maitake mushrooms and my husband had the mussels. We both loved our food and left nothing on our plates. Excellent choices, that we highly recommend. As our main course we shared the sushi platter. The seafood was fresh and the sushi didn't have too much rice. It was the perfect amount of food with our appetizers. They have an extensive wine and drink menu. For drinks I had a glass of the Sauvignon blanc and my husband had a red blend. For dessert we weren't really hungry enough to eat anything else but my husband wanted a pallet cleanser. They have a few sorbets. My husband settled on the cherry cola sorbet. They brought it out with a little chocolate that said "Happy Anniversary" in French. They did not add it to our bill. Very sweet of them. It was probably one of the best anniversaries we've ever had. The bill was about $230 before tip. We highly recommend coming here for any special occasion.
