I Should Gatekeep I had the pleasure of experiencing a budget-friendly happy hour at the famous Morton's Steakhouse, affectionately known as Power Hour, and honestly... I should probably gatekeep this one! For my meal, I enjoyed the most amazingly prepared short rib tacos paired with Parmesan truffle fries and a blackberry margarita. The fries were thin-cut, similar to Steak 'n Shake fries, perfectly crisp, and seasoned to perfection. The tacos were incredibly flavorful, with succulent short rib that was tender and easy to chew. And that chipotle aioli sauce? Chef's kiss! As a huge avocado fan, I especially appreciated the freshly sliced avocado on top of all three tacos. It added the perfect fresh, creamy touch to every bite. The ambiance of the restaurant doesn't do the menu prices any justice. Imagine walking into an upscale steakhouse with luxurious surroundings, exceptional service, and an elevated dining experience, only to discover surprisingly affordable food and beverage prices. It's the kind of place where you'd expect to spend much more than you actually do. Speaking of service, I was completely satisfied with mine. The staff was attentive, welcoming, and made the experience even more enjoyable. My grand total came to roughly $35, which is almost unheard of for the quality, portion sizes, and overall experience. One important thing to know: Power Hour is only available to guests seated in the bar area. Locals and tourists alike can take advantage of this hidden gem Sunday through Friday from 4 PM to 7 PM. Morton's definitely earned a repeat customer. I will most definitely be returning. Until then, part of me wants to keep this one to myself. read more

We went to Morton's for their Chicago restaurant week menu. It's three courses for $60. I started with the Wagyu dumplings, which was pretty tasty, but you only got three. I think the portion was pretty off. For the main course I had the lobster ravioli. I found those to be delicious. Love that sauce and truffles that it came with. And on the side, I got the cream spinach. My dessert was the Morton's Legendary Hot Chocolate Cake®. I've had better Cake. It wasn't worth the up charge. Our waitress was extremely attentive and nice. As a whole, the whole restaurant was very accommodating. Overall, I feel like the $60 dinner is nice as long as you don't get the add-on ones it's worth the $60. read more

This review is for the promotional they were running called Bubbles and Bites in the bar. This promo had been running the month of January and The Doctor, The Queen and I decided to go down and check it out. The idea of getting a "Happy Meal" in Veuve Clicquot boxes with a glass of Veuve had me dialed in. We got there at 4 pm and as we round the corner, I saw people already walking in. So glad we go there when we did be cause it filled up very quickly and I noticed that some spots at the bar and a few tables had reserve signs on them. Morton's Bubbles & Bites promotion paired a glass of Veuve Clicquot 'Yellow Label' or a Belvedere Martini with smash burger sliders (cheddar cheese, dill pickles, 'Special Sauce,' Brioche Bun) and matchstick fries with truffle and parmesan for $29. When you think about what a glass of Veuve cost, this was a steal as far as I was concerned. The burgers were their smash burgers and they were very good. I was happy to see the size of them, as along with the fries, it was easily a light dinner. As we didn't know at the time what we would be getting in terms of the portion, we also order the short rib tacos (braised short ribs, pickled red onion, sliced avocado, chipotle mayonnaise). The Happy Meals came out in these very cute Veuve Yellow boxes for the burgers and a fry holder for the fries. Both containers were placed on what looked like a charging plate with a serving of ketchup for the fries (nope nope nope). The burger, fries and tacos were delish and hit the spot for a light dinner. The short rib meat on the tacos was very tender and I loved the slice of fresh avocado. And there is no need to discuss how lovely the Veuve was as that goes without saying. Despite it being a full house at the bar, Emma (bartender) was totally on point in getting drinks and taking orders. She was not only working the bar, she was working the tables in the bar area as well. As it got closer to 5:30 pm, more help came in, but Emma was werking that area. Not sure what role Jesse played, but assumed he was a front room person since he and another gentleman were in suits, but helping out. Emma and Jesse (excuse me if that is not how you spell your name) were very responsive in taking care of us. We got to chat with Jesse a little bit about the promotion and I mentioned to him that I saw where Bubbles & Bites was unavailable in Atlanta from January 26-28. He didn't know why, I was just glad it was going strong in Chicago. Jesse mentioned that Morton's might be doing other theme related promotions like this centered around holidays, like St Pat's or Cinco de Mayo. I would definitely check those out. Ok I give! Two out of the last three Fridays in Lent is the direct result of the steakhouse's outstanding food--especially the seafood! We ordered not one but two of the Lobster & Crab Cocktail appetizers as our dinners. Succulent lump crab meat with perfectly prepared lobster. The dish comes dressed in an almost addictive Calabrian chile relish, lemon-basil aioli, with romaine lettuce underneath, Calabrian chile oil, and basil encircling the dish--a wonderfully placed drizzle of the delectable sauce. read more

I went to Morton's Tuesday July 21 2026. We had reservations.The hostess passed up several tables that had a space for 2 people then passed another with 4 seats. He seated us in a large booth next to the kitchen that had room for 6 or 7 people. The menus were behind my husband head so every time they put the menus back it was a like someone hitting his seat. Our waiter was very nice and friendly. We enjoyed his conversations. All in all not to bring race into it but if our server had not been nice I personally would not have enjoyed my experience. read more

Everything was truly fabulous. My wife and I visited for a jazz, wine, and dine weekend. It's hard to imagine going to Chicago and not experiencing Arnie Morton's of Chicago Steakhouse, which happens to be our favorite. Our visit to Morton's on Wacker Street on a beautiful, clear day in Chicago was excellent. The ambiance was wonderful, and the service provided by Meli was exceptional. She offered us excellent recommendations. The apricot jam with my Cajun ribeye was particularly delightful, offering a pleasant change for the palate. Meli was a charming addition to our date night. Regarding the Cajun ribeye, it was incredible. The butter was envious as I effortlessly cut through this prime beef. It was marinated to perfection and served with care. It was truly delicious. Restaurant Week Part 3! My friend Maria and I chose this restaurant because it had one of the biggest selections of food for each course. Everything was super tasty and unique, even the fresh, and HUGE baked bread they give you. Our server was amazing, and she was cracking jokes with us the whole time. Definitely ask for Selena, but the ambiance here is amazing. So relaxed and the decor is great Filet Mignon - 9.3/10, this was one of the best filet mignon I've ever had and I wish I could have another while writing this haha. They gave the option to double the size for an extra $15, but I wasn't that hungry. Juicy, nice crust, and a hint of herbs Wagyu Meatball - 9/10, this had a few components but I wasn't very satisfied. It came with marinara sauce, pesto sauce, and ricotta cheese. Normally I would eat these separately but it was the perfect amount of each. Truffled Cream Corn - 8/10, expected it to be more stuck together, but the truffle flavor really shines through. Almost chose the onion wrings but I'm glad I stuck with this. Crème Brûlée - 8.5/10, I've only had one better than this and I wish it had a little more fruit on it. We stopped here on Christmas Day without any reservation. The restaurant was very busy but we found a spot at the bar and were happy to eat there. I ordered a glass of wine and my other half ordered an old fashioned (which he said was very good). I had the lobster ravioli which was amazing, probably the best version of this type of dish I have had. The portion was huge and there was a good amount of lobster, I felt very full after eating this. My partner had the NY Strip which was perfectly cooked and seasoned. He ordered the green beans as his side which were tasty, albeit a little different with the Szechuan seasoning. After our main courses we were too full to order desserts. We did order the Morton coffees though which were good (and very boozy). Bill came to about $100 a head (including tax and tip) which we didn't think was too bad given the quality of the food. Morton's The Steakhouse has a special place in my heart. It's a go to spot for anniversaries or random date nights. My husband and I have been going to Morton's for our wedding anniversary for a few years. I absolutely love visiting Motion's because they always provide us a custom menu with a message from my husband. The staff at Morton's is very friendly. From the moment my party arrive they welcome us with warm smiles and the servers is always top notch. I normally don't have to wait long for a drink. The drinks are always delicious! At this point I've probably tried most of the sides (all except the ones that contain shellfish). My top choice is the smoked gouda & bacon au gratin potatoes. Other sides you cannot go wrong with is the matchstick parmesan & truffle fries and sautéed brussels sprouts/jumbo grilled asparagus. Morton's is known for their steaks and they do not disappoint. My go-to is the prime bone-in ribeye but I will sometimes try the prime ribeye or prime New York strip. If you want to spice up your steak they offer a variety of butter and sauces. I highly recommend the bearnaise sauce or garlic butter. The cheesecake and key lime pie is unbelievable! You have to save a little room for dessert because it's worth a try. read more

We've been loyal Morton's guests for many years, celebrating birthdays, anniversaries, and holidays here, but our Christmas Day visit was extremely disappointing. The restaurant was overcrowded, with tables placed far too close together, and the music was excessively loud. While holiday music is expected, the volume made conversation difficult and completely took away from the refined dining experience Morton's is known for. The food quality also fell short. The bone-in ribeye and fries were overly salty, the fish had an unpleasant odor, and the lamb chops had an overpowering lamb taste. This was especially disappointing given the price point. This visit was particularly important to us, as we were celebrating Christmas and our 25th wedding anniversary with our children. We left feeling the experience was not worth the cost and that a meaningful occasion had been spoiled. We had planned to return for New Year's Eve but decided against it after this visit. Wonderful experience at Morton's on East Wacker Place. My steak was cooked perfectly and was flavorful. The asparagus added as a side was grilled and added to my enjoyment of the steak. The restaurant bent over backwards when they found out my daughter had a gluten sensitivity and provided her with a special menu. They checked in on her a few times to ensure her meal was not causing any issues. The restaurant manager even stopped by our table to check on our meal. Due to some unfortunate circumstances our dinner at Morton's was cut short, at no fault of theirs. We had reservations for restaurant week and were seated quickly. Our waiter was exceptional. I didn't get a picture of the complimentary bread, but it was very fresh with a wonderful full flavor. The French onion soup was full of a delicious broth, tender onions, and a smooth cheese. It was very satisfying. We chose to upgrade our side to the gouda au gratin potatoes. The potato side dish was tender and flavorful with a creamy sauce. The filet mignon was tender and appeared to be cooked to perfection, however we weren't able to eat it at the restaurant due to having to leave on short notice. The staff offered to box up our desserts, but we were unable to wait. For a $62 a la carte fillet that was INCREDIBLY average. I'm not running back to Morton's anytime soon. À la carte menu, which means. You have to fork out another $14 for a dry baked potato, and $30 for a side, like lobster, overcooked, macaroni and cheese. And save room for the $17 hockey puck sized lava cake that is incredibly dry and tastes like the metallic metal pan it came from. For a $250 meal, I expected a hell of a lot more. By the way, the menu says the 6 ounce fillet is $47 but the waiter overcharged me so yeah, I had to pay $62 for that incredibly average piece of meat with nothing else on the plate. read more

Great cut and cooked perfectly just needed a little salt. Same with the fries - they do not come with truffle or Parmesan like the regular menu but cooked perfectly, just needed salt. I wasn't blown away by the dessert but I'm admittedly not a huge dessert person anyway. My husband got the: - Lobster bisque - filet - Creamed spinach - Key lime pie His filet he said was a little dry and he likes the key lime pie better at Joes seafood but he enjoyed the bisque and creamed spinach. Overall, a good meal for the discounted rate. With so many steak options though, at full price we would probably try something new. read more

I am not a steak person so take this with a grain of salt. We're there steaks good - yes but for the price they're not great. The space itself was fine but not elegant. We had the prime ribeye and the wagyu. I did really like the crème corn soufflé.
