I think about that conversation at least a few times every year when I struggle to decide what I want at a Chinese restaurant. "I had General Tso's chicken recently. Same with Hunan Beef and Twice Cooked Pork. I should go with the . . . Special Soup." Sometimes this soup is actually on the menu, which it is at East Meets West. But even if it's not on a menu, it's a popular off menu item that Chinese restaurants will often make if you request. This was my first time ordering takeout or otherwise from East Meets West and that Chinatown Style Noodle Soup with roast pork and wontons was really speaking to me on this snowy day. It's very good comfort food. The highlights were the chicken wontons (it was almost like a chicken sausage) and the noodles. The broth was fairly standard, but satisfying. The roast pork was good, but not in my top tier for this style of soup. In any event, I was happy with this order. I also ordered a 4 piece Crab Rangoon. The filling was very smooth, and had a sweet and good oniony flavor. I prefer a flakier shell, but it was pretty good. I would definitely order the Crab Rangoon again. 3.5 Stars

Would Have loved something a bit sweeter and vinegary for a sauce. The crab rangoons were honestly even better than I remembered them being last time. Perfect sweet to Salty ratio, perfect crisp. Their stir fry is okay and wings are good. But their bone in BBQ ribs are the best spare ribs I had in a while. It's meaty and it's not dry. I always place an order for their ribs. The front desk lady is always friendly and offer a free soda once your order hits a minimum price. I think around $50 or more you get a free two liter. The place is small and pretty clean.
