Burnt teriyaki on a stick. So burnt it was black! Texture of jerky.

I haven't gone here in years and I decided to try them for dinner yesterday. I stood there waiting for my order. I called it in and they said 15 minutes. I arrived about 20 minutes or so after ordering. I figured hey they must be good, the place was really busy, usually a good sign, so I didn't mind waiting a little longer. I read their award certificates up on the wall for the past few years as being the best Chinese food in Bristol. To say the food was lousy is an understatement . It was the worst Chinese food that any of us have eaten. The lady that worked there kept going into the back to yell at the guy cooking. She had the phone on her shoulder taking orders and running in the back to pack up the food and I saw her picking up the chicken fingers and egg rolls from the fryer with her hands and then going to the register to ring out the customers. The General Tso's chicken was overcooked, and tasted like fish. The chicken fingers were dripping with oil and severely overcooked, almost like beef jerky. I probably could have eaten tree bark that tasted better. The pork fried rice was dry and just nasty- did not taste good at all. The side of boneless bbq ribs was hard, couldn't bite into it and couldn't even break it apart. Teriyaki beef on a stick in my combo plate was so dry and burnt. It was black! Waste of money! So disappointed!!!!!!

Did a take-out order tonight, our first time ordering from Lee Po's. I went with a General Tso's Chicken combination (#25), my fiancee ordered a Cashew Chicken combination (#20). Both meals were very tasty, was one of the better General Tso's chicken dishes I've ever had. The eggrolls that came with the meals were very large, and also very good too. Generous portions, reasonable price for everything. We would certainly order from Lee Po's again, and perhaps dine in also. Lee Po's is a strong 4 Star rating in my opinion.

Been a take out and eat at restaurant customer for many years. This is my go-to Chinese restaurant.

    The chicken wings are terrific.

I've had only very limited experience with Lee Po's menu, but it includes two standout items: chicken wings and hot and sour soup. There are only four chicken wings in an order, but they're HUGE in size by today's standards. They're well-seasoned with salt and fried to crispy, juicy goodness. The hot and sour soup has the best overall flavor of any that I've had from restaurants in the area. While some might prefer more heat, it's just hot enough for me and has a perfect level of sourness. It has a nice consistency; it's not over-thickened with corn starch. The tender pork bits are spot on. I like the flavor so much that I can overlook the inclusion of slivers of water chestnut and use of button-type mushrooms, instead of cloud ear mushrooms. It's slightly annoying to be asked for cash if the bill is under $15, but I'm used to that from Chinese merchants.

This place is one of the best places for takeout in the state. The chicken wings the lo mein and the crab Rangoon are the best.

Especially during the extreme weather during the winter they're cold in here and during summer they're kind of over hot. The woman owner i deal with every time. She's incredibly kind caring and a darling to talk to. This older Asian woman who doesn't even know me came from behind the plexiglass window and spent some time talking to me on a few occasions. She even invaded my personal space and was mere inches away. Such an incredibly sweet woman. They're always very quick here when I've placed my orders. Very very quick service. One time she did get my order incorrect but made it right on my next order. The restaurant is basically pick up take out and they have delivery. It's a basic looking Chinese no frills restaurant with pics of the food for your ambiance viewing. The food itself is very good. Keeps me coming back aglain and again for more. Very friendly. The parking is along side the street right in front. Easy peasy.

Lunch specials are smaller portion, but good for the price (raised to $12.95 now since my last menu photo) We split a lot of dishes because we couldn't decide: Wonton soup appetizer {4.5/5}: Loved how delicate the wontons were and the clear broth was great for a cold day. Tad too salty though. Lunch special --Braised pork belly {3/5}: Very tender, but kind of monotone in flavor. Very filling! Lunch special --Hot and sour gizzards {4.5/5}: This might freak people out in terms of texture, but I LOVE this texture. Good chew and pops of heat from the peppers and acid from the pickled green beans Lunch special --Cumin dish lamb {3/5}: kind of chewy and not as much flavor as I wished, but not bad! Chicken wings {3/5}: Crunchyyyy. Battered wings, not as much flavor as their chongqing chicken which I prefer, but not bad

Outside is very much a busy shopping plaza in not the best part of town. Inside is a completely different story. Very clean and spacious, lots of booths and tables. Decorated well and a lot to see. The staff were friendly but there was a slight language barrier. We fumbled through the menu and found some bites to try. Food came out relatively quick, and that was a bit to manage because there were a lot of plates brought rather quickly. We got pics and dug in. The bites were flavored well. Nothing felt too greasy or under seasoned. The white pepper chicken was very crispy. But not a lot of chicken on each bite. The sweet and sour soup was both sweet and sour, but balanced enough that you could keep on eating it. The dumplings were fresh noodles and the filling was spiced well. The only flop was the spare ribs. Really tasty sauce, but very little meat on the bone. Had to suck on the bones to scrape enough meat off to make it a proper appetizer. It tasted good, just was not easy to eat. Price for the area was high for the neighborhood. It's got the quality and the flavor to command that price easily, but it doesn't match the stores. It's really good, but know that you're getting the real deal sichuan experience. Expect some heat, some saucy fingers, and some bones, and you'll get some really good bites
