I left a review on google, but I need to leave a review on here with photos as well after i've calmed down. As soon as my friends and I sat down at a table outside, ashley made it a point to come up to us and say we're taking away from her paycheck by ordering at the bar. I am a bartender and I don't believe that it's appropriate to say things like that to customers. I went to the bar to get a water and while i was gone, ashley went to my friends at the table and started talking poorly about me. I came back and heard that news, so I went to the bouncer and asked her name. considering the bouncer seemed afraid of her, he hesitated to answer. she b-lined it to me and started screaming in my face, although I wasn't even talking to her. she then said I was going to get trespassed, and as i tried to walk away and de-escalate the situation, she followed me and continued to scream at myself and my friends, although again, no one was speaking to her. see the photos for proof! I hope you get Ashley under control, because if not I will not be returning along with many other of my friends. you will continue to lose business over that sort of attitude. it's a shame! I had people tell me that she continued to act that way the next night, and they physically saw her counting her tips that a table gave her while they were still there, and shook her head. again, i am a bartender and i'm well aware this behavior is unacceptable. read more

Definitely a good spot to eat at the beach if you plan to stay on the beach for a while. I will say, however, the parking situation isn't the best. Anywhere close by you have to pay to park but if you tell them what restaurant you plan on going to, they give you "cash" toward your bill. In addition, they weren't too friendly when I called ahead but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and say it was because they might have been busier. My whole family loved their food, and the service there was good! We had a child with us, and he ordered a grill cheese and loved it (he's super picky) They were quick and kind. The drinks were good, and you definitely got a lot for what you pay for. The ambiance was very beachy, and depending on where you sat, you could look out at the ocean. We came here for what we had hoped would be a quick lunch before getting back to our hotel to get ready for a wedding. Our server had a lot of attitude, and way too much confidence in her memory. She took our entire order (six of us, drinks and all), without writing down anything. She then came back 5 minutes later as she had forgotten all of the order, except mine, supposedly, as she didn't ask me again and brought my salad 5 minutes later - with the wrong dressing. The appetizers came out and food was about what you'd expect for a divey ocean fare restaurant in Daytona. Not bad. Not Michelin. Probably great after a few cocktails, but I wasn't drinking. The cocktails came out for everyone at the table and she brought an extra one because she forgot what people had ordered. No complaints there. About 10 minutes later, the entrees came out. All of them, except mine, as she had forgotten I had ordered food. So I spent the next 10 minutes watching everyone else eat, so that was fun. Finally my food came - clam strips were solid, but nothing different from where you'd get at any other seafood beachy restaurant. The crab cake was ok. Not something I'd get again, and I LOVE crabcakes. Mango salsa on top was solid. She ended up taking the crabcake off the check because of the whole forgetting to put in my order thing, so that was really nice. Now late to go get ready, we asked for the checks, and then waited. And waited. And waited. Finally she showed up. Thankfully we had cash, so we dipped out while everyone else waited for their credit card receipts. If you're looking for a culinary masterpiece, this ain't it, but if you've got a loungey afternoon to kill with plenty of booze by the water, which realistically is what most people are after in Daytona, this place is probably a solid choice. read more

If you are looking for karaoke and food, this is your place. The location is directly on the beach. Valet parking is provided. Staff are friendly and very busy. The restaurant has 2 levels. Upstairs indoor seating is enclosed and plenty of windows to see the great views. Downstairs is open to the beach breeze with a bar and stage. It's high energy and the crowd was really into the karaoke. We started with the fish dip that was good. It is served with carrots, celery and tortilla chips. Next we got the crab cakes. They were cooked perfectly and full of crab meat. The rice and veggies were just basic. We ended with the key lime pie. It is ok, not tangy, tart or very key lime flavored. Absolutely LOVE the steamed shrimp appetizer. My wife and I will travel from WI just to have these by the pound. Forget the cocktail sauce, live the butter. The Old Bay seasoning is perfect! Our favorite is walking in off the beach to great music and great people. read more

We visited on a weekday at lunch and had the place mostly to ourselves. We were greeted as soon as we walked in, sat at a table inside by the window and enjoyed the view. Our waitress was so sweet and made some great recommendations. They had a gluten-free seafood platter with shrimp, crab, clams, and steak. My husband really enjoyed it. It was the first time he had clams! I ordered the cod sandwich. It had a great flavor but it was more good than I could eat, so the 2nd half of the sandwich I ditched the bun and just ate the cod. the french fries had a great flavor and were perfectly crispy. My husband ordered a cocktail. There were so many great ones to choose from. This would be a great place to have lunch when out enjoying the beach, and the cocktails will help you beat the heat! read more

Our server was T. She was amazing. The food was really fresh and tasted great. I got the Mahi tacos and it came with this really good pineapple rice and pineapple salsa. I also got sweet tea, and there sweet tea is really good, it is not overly sweet. We sat right on porch next to the beach, it was a beautiful view seeing the sunset. This is definitely an ocean front restaurant. The look, feel, vibe, everything you would think one should be. This kind of place is Florida. The place was packed and almost a little hectic. Constant flow of people in and out the door almost made it a little less relaxing. I'd prefer a little quieter place with an ocean breeze and the smell of cocoa butter. Daytona is more high speed and stale beer. That's my fault for expecting something else, not to blame this place. The waitstaff was so busy that nobody got the attention people like to get. Get in, eat, get out. Maybe it's not like that all the time, but this time it was. I got some salad that was basic enough I can't remember what it was. My Blue Moon beer didn't come with an orange slice. I never even tried to make it to the bathroom. Not a good overall first experience here. I would give this place a 5 star review all day long if they would have informed me I was paying for a souvenir mug that I did NOT want! Had the blackened Mahi Mahi and it was awesome. I don't know why I haven't been here before, since I've vacationed in Daytona Beach maybe 20 times, but I'm glad I have now. It's located right smack on the beach, and within walking distance of the Oceanwalk where we usually stay. It's open air to the beach, so it can get a bit warm on a hot day, even with fans, but cold beer helps! We ordered a seafood platter with fried shrimp, clam strips, and cod fillets and fries, and it was plenty to share. Everything was hot and cooked perfectly. Lunch mates ordered Mahi tacos, and there were 3 huge tacos with whole fillets instead of the usual chunks. Nothing like eating lunch with a view of the ocean. OK, so this is a crazy fun atmosphere. The servers work their butts off. There have a wonderful entertainer who plays reggae, and a little bit of top 40 and a little bit of classic rock. For an appetizer, we have the wings close the bathroom door, but I have to say the roster hot sauce was excellent. I love the seasoning to use on that No, Sauce! I had the tequila shrimp salad, which was phenomenal. If you like fresh jalapeños, you will be in heaven. My friend had a quesadilla and said it was wonderful. This is my second time here. The bar downstairs was packed and people were having a lot of fun singing and drinking. It's a younger crowd partying. This is more of a place to drink and sing but I think the food stinks. My shrimps were overcooked. The broccoli had no flavor. The beers were $7 a can. The food was pricey also. We walked along the beach to get here as they've got a road entry and a beach entry. Convenient place for a snack/meal when you're hungry after swimming. Also if the kids want to play out on the sand, you can watch them whilst seated outside. Rasta fish dip - tasty and full of flavour. Loved the combo with carrots and celery since every other place that has dip always has chips with it. I've been going to Ocean Deck since 2017, it's my favorite burger spot. Unfortunately for me today........it was very disappointing. My husband and I sat outside enjoying the ocean views. We ordered the gator bites, to me they tasted like over cooked small chicken nuggets, then our burger came..... so so disappointing. The bun was cold and stale and the onion rings that I was so looking forward to were so cold and not sure they even had onions inside. The majority of my diet consists of me NOT eating carbs so when I cheat I go all out and enjoy my cheat day. So so sad that my go to best burger in Daytona sucked today :( Won't be back anytime soon for my next cheat day. Service was also pretty decent. The waitress was attentive and smiled. The bill came, and they had secretly raised prices that don't match the menu. They tried to explain it away as the "cash price" - but the math does not check out. Just know their prices will be higher than the menu (whether cash or card) Not a lot higher...But enough to make me notice and desire to leave a three star review instead of a four. I think it was especially annoying that the manager tried to condescendingly explain grade school math to me... but she didn't want to learn why her math was incorrect. My assumption is twofold - either she's tired of dealing with customers, or she's cheating people on purpose. Ocean deck is a great option if you're in downtown Daytona. We love it because it's within walking distance of fountains beach resort. They need to update their prices on yelp to 2024 pricing. However, it is very good and they had excellent live band performing last Friday evening, April 12. Be prepared to pay a small, three dollar cover charge after 10 PM. Try it out! read more

Reason for 3 stars-ordered a side of Caribbean cole slaw that was just plain cole slaw. Why call it Caribbean? Also, be prepared for 2.5% uncharge when paying with a credit card. The fish and chips were good but definitely your average fish and chips. I got the Shrimp Shrimp shrimp and the coconut and fried shrimp both were very good. The steamed shrimp were not cleaned very well where there was sans still in the shrimp after we removed the legs. The service was good and our waitress checked on us many times. There was a lot going on within the restaurant as a customer was sick. Overall the food was average we didn't try any drinks so we can't speak to them. read more
