I went here for the first time for a small graduation celebration within the family and I think it's a cute little place. I really do enjoy the live music, we just got there late into the night and had a seat right by them so it was super loud. Still great music though! We eventually snagged a table out back on the patio area and it was wayyyyyy better out there to be able to see the beach at the same time. They also are so smart to make people change from the glasses to non breakable cups. Now we didn't really focus on the food much but the French fries I stole from my brother in law were great. The steamed shrimp were not cleaned very well where there was sans still in the shrimp after we removed the legs. The service was good and our waitress checked on us many times. I have been here a few times while in Daytona. The first two times were for drinks only, this last time I got food and drinks. The ambiance is cool, there is an upstairs and a downstairs area, although it feels like there are too many tables for the small areas, making it feel crowded. The service could use some work for sure, I feel like my table of 6 waited a long time for the server to come back in between drinks/getting our food. The live music was a nice touch although again the place is small and it felt too loud. I like that it is on the beach as well. Ocean Deck is our favorite beach bar. We are part time residents and go to Ocean Deck every time we're in town, often more than once per visit. It's fun to sit on the deck and listen to music or come up from the beach for a drink and some fries. There are always a bunch of ppl of all different ages and the trivia and karaoke nights are a good time also. We usually get wings, we love their sauces. They also used to have the most amazing peanut butter pie, but we've noticed they recently changed it...would love to see the original make a comeback! read more

If you are looking for karaoke and food, this is your place. The location is directly on the beach. Valet parking is provided. Staff are friendly and very busy. The restaurant has 2 levels. Upstairs indoor seating is enclosed and plenty of windows to see the great views. Downstairs is open to the beach breeze with a bar and stage. It's high energy and the crowd was really into the karaoke. We started with the fish dip that was good. It is served with carrots, celery and tortilla chips. Next we got the crab cakes. They were cooked perfectly and full of crab meat. The rice and veggies were just basic. We ended with the key lime pie. It is ok, not tangy, tart or very key lime flavored. Definitely a good spot to eat at the beach if you plan to stay on the beach for a while. I will say, however, the parking situation isn't the best. Anywhere close by you have to pay to park but if you tell them what restaurant you plan on going to, they give you "cash" toward your bill. In addition, they weren't too friendly when I called ahead but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and say it was because they might have been busier. My whole family loved their food, and the service there was good! We had a child with us, and he ordered a grill cheese and loved it (he's super picky) They were quick and kind. The drinks were good, and you definitely got a lot for what you pay for. The ambiance was very beachy, and depending on where you sat, you could look out at the ocean. We came here for what we had hoped would be a quick lunch before getting back to our hotel to get ready for a wedding. Our server had a lot of attitude, and way too much confidence in her memory. She took our entire order (six of us, drinks and all), without writing down anything. She then came back 5 minutes later as she had forgotten all of the order, except mine, supposedly, as she didn't ask me again and brought my salad 5 minutes later - with the wrong dressing. The appetizers came out and food was about what you'd expect for a divey ocean fare restaurant in Daytona. Not bad. Not Michelin. Probably great after a few cocktails, but I wasn't drinking. The cocktails came out for everyone at the table and she brought an extra one because she forgot what people had ordered. No complaints there. About 10 minutes later, the entrees came out. All of them, except mine, as she had forgotten I had ordered food. So I spent the next 10 minutes watching everyone else eat, so that was fun. Finally my food came - clam strips were solid, but nothing different from where you'd get at any other seafood beachy restaurant. The crab cake was ok. Not something I'd get again, and I LOVE crabcakes. Mango salsa on top was solid. She ended up taking the crabcake off the check because of the whole forgetting to put in my order thing, so that was really nice. Now late to go get ready, we asked for the checks, and then waited. And waited. And waited. Finally she showed up. Thankfully we had cash, so we dipped out while everyone else waited for their credit card receipts. If you're looking for a culinary masterpiece, this ain't it, but if you've got a loungey afternoon to kill with plenty of booze by the water, which realistically is what most people are after in Daytona, this place is probably a solid choice. read more

While the grouper was well prepared and delicious, the seasonal vegetables were over prepared mushy green beans that looked and tasted as though they'd been cooked several times or were not fresh. The island rice was not to my liking leaving me a bit confused as to what flavor profile they were aiming for - neither sweet nor savory. Service was very good, drinks were as expected over priced but ok, their sea food and wings were not special, they were dry and poorly prepared, possibly hours or maybe even the night before. We've been at the Ocean Deck at least eight times over eight years. Eleven of us, our total bill including tip was $400.00 , we paid cash. Headed from Orlando up to Savannah and wanted to stop oceanside for lunch. This place has both a spot on the beach and an upstairs air-conditioned room. We chose the latter since it was noon and pretty hot. Great views from the restaurant. You can see the beach and the ocean perfectly. Unbeknownst to me, my skinny 17 year old son ordered the $55 dish of shrimp, mahi mahi and crab legs. It was a lot of food and he had help from his siblings (and me) to finish it...thankfully. The others got seafood dishes (shrimp, mahi mahi) while three of us got the burger. It was a big burger and very good. Fries were also quite good. My daughter got a souvenir glass with her soda to take home. While the upstairs is fairly small, it looks like a fun place to head at night after a day at the beach. We visited on a weekday at lunch and had the place mostly to ourselves. We were greeted as soon as we walked in, sat at a table inside by the window and enjoyed the view. Our waitress was so sweet and made some great recommendations. They had a gluten-free seafood platter with shrimp, crab, clams, and steak. My husband really enjoyed it. It was the first time he had clams! I ordered the cod sandwich. It had a great flavor but it was more good than I could eat, so the 2nd half of the sandwich I ditched the bun and just ate the cod. the french fries had a great flavor and were perfectly crispy. This is definitely an ocean front restaurant. The look, feel, vibe, everything you would think one should be. This kind of place is Florida. The place was packed and almost a little hectic. Constant flow of people in and out the door almost made it a little less relaxing. I'd prefer a little quieter place with an ocean breeze and the smell of cocoa butter. Daytona is more high speed and stale beer. That's my fault for expecting something else, not to blame this place. The waitstaff was so busy that nobody got the attention people like to get. Get in, eat, get out. Maybe it's not like that all the time, but this time it was. I got some salad that was basic enough I can't remember what it was. My Blue Moon beer didn't come with an orange slice. I never even tried to make it to the bathroom. Not a good overall first experience here. Good location with beachfront view. We sat on the outside table looking out to the beach which was nice. Was super busy on a Friday afternoon for lunch. Easier to get to from the main road. We walked along the beach to get here as they've got a road entry and a beach entry. Convenient place for a snack/meal when you're hungry after swimming. Also if the kids want to play out on the sand, you can watch them whilst seated outside. Rasta fish dip - tasty and full of flavour. Loved the combo with carrots and celery since every other place that has dip always has chips with it. At least with this it had all three to be used for dipping with Fried tanker combo - anything fried will always be tasty. Decent amount of shrimp, fish and fries.
