Razor clams, scallops with quail egg

Ocean Seafood is one of the OG Vietnamese seafood spots in Chinatown, and I mainly came because I was craving Vietnamese snails... and this place definitely hit the spot! Almost everything we ordered was delicious! The only thing I wasn't a huge fan of was the crawfish. You can tell they don't really soak the crawfish long enough and it also seemed a little overcooked. Over that that, everything else was superb and packed with flavor! With a classic hole in the vibe, but it was surprisingly clean overall. The prices are also very reasonable for the amount of food you get. The service was also good and attentive. I'll definitely be back whenever I'm craving ốc.

Fresh seafood that won't break the bank. What else do you want? The oysters are incredible and so affordable. I love every single dish we ordered

First time here and we like it... Great recipes! We found A few fresh items , but the rest were from frozen...Wen ordered from the promotion list. All items were $9.99 ea...Can't go wrong with that even though the portions were small..

I'm a self proclaimed seafood lover so of course when I heard about this spot serving not only crawfish but vietnamese style seafood I knew I had to come. I originally heard about their $9 menu but was disappointed to see that it was nowhere to be found during my visit. I'm not sure if they got rid of it due to crawfish season. We came on a Friday night and waited about 10 minutes, the entire restaurant was packed and they don't take reservations. Food: Grilled oysters: 5/5 the oysters were juicy and a good size Tamarind razor clams: 3.5/5 I think I'll try them again in a different flavor Grilled mussels: 3.5/5 a little tough, oysters were much better Fried rice: 3.5/5 nothing special but decent Periwinkle snails: 3/5 the soup it came in was a little bland Crawfish: currently $9.99/lb. I got the house special thinking it would come with oranges since they said it was citrus based but weirdly the garlic butter was the one that came with onion and garlic? I'm not sure if they got the order wrong but whichever one comes with garlic and oranges is the best flavor. Crawfish was cooked well Overall, I did enjoy the food here. I definitely want to come back to try more items. I would say ordering is a little chaotic and they don't speak much english. There was somehow even miscommunication even though our group spoke vietnamese so I'm not sure what the issue is there. I hope that maybe during off season they'll bring back the $9 menu so I can try more of their other seafood items.

I visited Ocean Crawfish on Beechnut twice within two days in January because I really wanted to give them a fair try. The crawfish were definitely live and fresh, which I appreciated. You can tell they take pride in having good quality seafood. The first time, I ordered the Medium Spice Ocean Signature. When I received my order, I noticed the receipt said mild, so I let them know it was supposed to be medium. A lady kindly took them to the back and said she was adding more spice. However, when I started eating them, they still didn't taste medium spiced. The second visit, I asked for spicy, thinking maybe I just needed to go up a level. Unfortunately, they still weren't spicy at all--honestly not even medium. The flavor was there, but the heat level just didn't match what I requested either time. Overall, the crawfish were fresh, which is a big plus. I may just need to speak with someone directly next time to make sure my spice level is right because I really want that true medium or spicy kick.

Seems like a good local spot where you can satisfy your seafood cravings with a Vietnamese flair. A casual place you can bring a few friends or even whole family gathering like we did. A lot of variety in terms of seafood types, flavor-wise things were pretty similar among items. Service was really quick, food came out fast and sizzling hot. We left pretty satisfied! Favorite was probably the razor clams.

The oysters (both raw and cooked) were good, and the crawfish was huge and yummy. If your body is okay with consuming a lot of unhealthy fat, I would highly recommend that you try the fried soft-shell crab with salted egg- OMG I love it! The baby geoduck clams soaked in this spicy, flavorful oily sauce were delicious, and my husband was very impressed with it (the oily sauce). The sea snails in coconut milk were A-OK; it was much better a few months back when I had it for the first time, but last night it was kinda like meh.... Service was pretty much zero. My kids got the cheese sticks and chicken tenders with fries- both were bad though. 1 and a half of the chicken tenders were completely raw inside, and my 6-year-old was like Oh mommy, why is this chicken pink? *eye roll* Oh well, I still do love this place a lot and definitely will come back.

The place gets really crowded because they offer $9 oysters. Make sure to double check with the waiter about the discount, since they sometimes forget to apply it. That said, the food is great. The ambiance is pretty noisy and busy due to the crowd.

Came here on a double date and wanted to try a variety of dishes. If you love seafood this is the spot to go! It's very affordable unique seafood that you can't find in other seafood restaurants. They have the regular fried fish and shrimp but it doesn't stop there. At ocean crawfish they regular grilled fish dishes to snail, clams and other unique varieties. We ordered the scallops, different snails, oyster samplers and crawfish. Everything was cooked perfectly. The flavors were all on point. The coconut snail dish had me wanting to drink the sauce. The razor clams were cooked perfectly to where they weren't chewy like a rubber band. The crawfish sizes were perfect not too large not too small but the flavor was mainly outside the crawfish so they probably don't soak it there. The device was very fast even though it was busy. You will not be confused of the ambiance. When you walk in you know you're here for seafood because they have ocean murals and large clean tanks of fresh seafood.

They are currently having an oyster special so we decided to stop by and try it out. We got 3 different style of oysters topping, crawfish, and a seafood platter. I'm a sucker for seafood platter and it did not disappoint. It was fry to perfection! The oysters was a little on the smaller side but the toppings made a huge difference. The crawfish was a good size and flavorful. You can choose from different flavor and we chose the garlic butter. Can't wait to come back.

i've gone here before but the food has greatly improved since then! favorite thing was the razor clam papaya salad, my whole family was in love with the flavor and crisp papaya! their razor clams are their most popular item, but it tasted rubbery to me - would not get again fried rice was addicting with the pops of topiko. everything was overall tasty

A seafood restaurant that prepares dishes in an Asian style loved by many Vietnamese diners. The space is spacious enough for groups, the food comes out quickly, the staff is attentive, and the prices are reasonable.

Ocean Crawfish's 2025 $9.99 deal is a steal -- you get a good amount of food for a great price. There's so many items in the $9.99 menu that you'll for sure find something you like. The dishes we ordered came out fast and were delicious for the value. Service is decent, though not particularly attentive. If you're here for tasty seafood on a budget, it definitely delivers.

Just before closing, we had the place to ourselves and got to shoot the S with the owner who gave us its very cool history. 38 years in, and a few miles on his ledger, Marty still cranks out some fabulous food! The place was like walking into the 50's, with the old school metal tables and ample linoleum. I LOVE Louisiana cooking, and it couldn't have been more authentic. The only problem I had with my shrimp gumbo is the bowl was too small (actually a filling portion) and loaded with succulent, tender shrimp. Yummmmm! The cornbread was sublime and dipping it in the gumbo was killer! John had a Po Boy and said it was heavenly. The fries were obviously fresh cut and perfect. We finished with the bread pudding as we are both connoisseurs, and boy did it not disappoint. Thank You for yet another 5 star experience and a return visit will be on the horizon! Cheers, JimG

Nut allergy friendly: Pretty much no issues here!…read more Parking: There's some in the strip mall but definitely less than at the Bellaire location. Time to Appetizers: 20 Minutes Time to Crawfish: 25 Minutes It's a solid branch from the main location in Bellaire, but they're missing some things. For example, the Bellaire location has the new Viet-Cajun flavor of sauce that hasn't debuted here yet (though you can DIY a mix). (Review is for July 2026 if they've updated since then) We got here at 6:05PM and got seated with no issues. Ordered the following: Combo #1 with extra corn and potatoes (3.5/5): Crawfish isn't in season, so don't be surprised at my low rating. It's still great and flavorful all around. Garlic Noodles with Shrimp (4/5): Still incredibly rich and buttery and garlicy and great for a palate cleanser. I'd skip the shrimp; you get eight pieces for $10 extra and that's not really worth it. Crawfish Beignets (4.5/5): Still a fantastic appetizer. Comes out hot, crispy, buttery, and is a really indulgence. 1 lb. Little Neck Clams (4.5/5): I liked these more than the crawfish tbh. It really does depend on what's in season. Very easy to eat, very flavorful. Service was generally good but our server seemed slammed; it took a long time to get water refills and to place extra orders (we got a second order of beignets to-go). Market price for crawfish is high and they're not in season, so don't be afraid to ask. The Combo #1 in July 2026 was $22. Overall, I'll probably be back during crawfish season especially because it's more convenient for me than the Bellaire location, but the Bellaire location has it beat for general atmosphere after the remodeling and much better options for mixes there.

Inside it's a nice restaurant with an upscale feel to it. I ordered a house salad for $9 to start and the Pasta Rosa entree for another $28. The salad arrived first with a generous amount of romaine lettuce with diced tomatoes, cucumber, shredded carrots and chopped eggs on top. With my chosen ranch dressing it was a good tasting salad. The Pasta Rosa dish had sliced Parmesan strips on top of penne with shrimp, crawfish and sausage for the protein with mushrooms and a tomato cream sauce. This meal initially tricked me. My first impression was that while there was plenty of protein the taste of the tomato cream sauce was lacking some flavor. I expected more. However as I kept eating and getting beyond the top layer of the food the flavor increased significantly. I think that the proteins caused the sauce in the lower half of the dish to create more punch. This dish got better and better and I changed my mind. It turned out to be a very good tasting and filling meal. Finally the table service was very good too. P.S. I also tried part of another appetizer which was the bar b q shrimp for $16.
