Sushi station was great! Like the hibachi station idea. Service lost a star , we went Sunday evening and it was packed hard to get the waiters attention for refills. Overall we would go back. read more

The only positive thing I can say about this restaurant is that it is relatively clean and well lit. It's all downhill from there. The food is worse than high school cafeteria food. You get a lot of it if you want but none of it is good. Good is unappetizing and cold. Sushi was rubbery and the rice had dried out from sitting out so long. Desert bar which should have been the easiest to get right had absolutely nothing worth eating. Save your money and the embarrassment of having to apologize to the other members of your party for having suggested this place. Run away ... quickly. read more

We were really looking forward to a new buffet near us but this one did not hit the mark. Lunch is until 3:30 but when we arrived at 2:30 we were greeted with a cold face from the Asian man at the front register. The hot food is a hot mess. Everything was dry, old, and a very limited selection. They were not bringing out any new food. What you see is what you get. We frequent a lot of buffets and usually they continuously bring in fresh food. But here, all you have left is little portions of dry hot food. Kids wanted pizza, but again, it was limited and unappetizing as the employee plays away on his phone. Their only redemption was their sushi but at a little past 3, a lot of it was turned into dinner items we can no longer enjoy. As it gets closer to 3:30, they start bringing out a little bit of hot food, yay!!! but no, again, it's "dinner" only. So, lesson learned. Do not go there too late and even if you do go earlier, I don't know if their hot food is even tasty because what we did taste was pretty sad. We have 3 kids under 4 and @ $11/child for a few bites of stale pizza and a little ice cream is a little much. Service is ok. Btw.. does anyone else get the global buffet & Hibachi grill supreme buffet vibes here?! read more

Ocean Buffet has quickly become one of my favorite spots for a buffet. The prices are fair, the food is always tasty, and the staff does a great job of keeping things running smoothly. I especially love going on the weekends--they bring out Cantonese lobster, steak, king crab legs, and a bunch of other delicious dishes that feel like a real treat. If you're in the mood for variety and a good dining experience without breaking the bank, this place definitely hits the spot. read more

Everything was great the lobster was terrific. They maybe a bit more expensive but they are worth it- our new go to buffet!!

Came in for the first time for a birthday dinner and was not impressed. Inside was pleasing but the service and food wasn't. Was not greeted and had to stare down the host section to finally be noticed and seen. Sat down, server was no where in sight for drinks so we got up for food anyway. I was happy with the selection but overall taste wasn't the best. Rubbery calamari, pork sausage was extremely salty and had an unpleasant aftertaste eating their cooked meats as well as the sushi/salad bar was messy. What made me want to write this review in the first place, I picked up a tong to grab a Crab meat Rangoon and placed one on my plate until a worker came in asking me to move to the side to fill the pan next to the Rangoons. I moved over, she refilled the pan as I attempted to pick up another but she simply refused to let me finish what I was doing and yelling "no, go!" Repeatedly as I'm being pushed further from the food. I was disgusted and walked away not even having the chance to get sauce for my ONE Rangoon... After I went back to my table still no server.. my date had to go and look around for her to finally come and take our drinks. We took two sips, paid and left. read more

When I arrived here, I was greeted by a wave of people waiting. I thought to myself that this was a good sign because if the restaurant is full, then the food must be very good. I waited for about 10 minutes to be seated. The waiter was rushing and walking very fast, I had to catch up. The restaurant was not too quiet or too noisy, and the interior was very modern and welcoming. When I went up to get food, I almost bumped into a worker. I said sorry to her, but I got no response. This happened multiple times when the waiter brought drinks and removed dishes, again no response. The food was nice and savory, however the Jell-o had absolutely no flavor and even tasted like rubber. Same situation with the cherries. The soup bar was extremely messy, and for some strange reason, the crackers were on the top, so all the other food was sprinkled with them. Also, as I was getting fries, a worker came with fresh fries to refill. She said "excuse me" (finally some manners) and I moved to the side. However, when I realized that I was still holding the tongs, without warning she snatched the tongs with her greasy gloves. She never asked to have the tongs. Overall, some service, but not so great. Staff needs to be retrained after only 2 MONTHS after opening. The restaurant is extremely understaffed. I love how someone who works there always responds to our reviews. It gives a feeling that they actually care and take their time to read our reviews. Things to note: -Good parking areas -New and modern -It's a gamble, food may be good or bad -Rude, undertrained staff -Staff gossip in mandarin -Busy at times -Good for the family, nice atmosphere -Filthy bathrooms, reek of urine In my opinion, only come here if other restaurants are closed. Be prepared to experience rude staff. 2 stars read more

Idk what those negative reviews were talking about tbh this place is SO GOOD. Everything I tried (and I tried a lot lol) was amazing, the staff were polite and present and helpful, and the choices were abundant! A+++ Me & my man will DEFINITELY be back! read more

I decided to go last night. Once seated a server approached instantly and took my beverage order. I then went for salad and looked at the hot items and decided what I wanted. Not possible to eat everything so then got small portions of what I wanted. You also wanna save room for dessert. They have a nice selection and an ice cream machine which was out of order. Mostly Asian items but other items as well.Good quality and spotlessly clean. The one con is I do NOT like the server leaving the table with my credit card so I wish the server would bring the portable payment terminal to the table or have a payment machine on the table or a QR code where you can pay on your phone.More and more places are doing that these days especially with Apple Pay. Location. In the shopping center on Sunrise highway maybe 1/2 mile from the Suffolk Co.line. It was formerly a Master Grill and an Olive Garden. I was told once upon a time it was a Coco's.I recommend it and will go back. read more

Dinner is $30 but the food is a step above the other local buffets. They have a huge selection of fresh grilled meats, sushi, standard buffet food and a hibachi station. Took off 2 stars because the waitstaff and front desk were not friendly, no one said anything as we were walking out and we had to ask for refills on our drinks every time. Also, they have balcony seating that is hard to get to. You have to push your way past other people. Very uncomfortable. read more

do not go ocean buffet in Massapequa on sunrise Highway this place is not handicap accessible, and the service stunk. There was food all over the floor and the kids was running around, bumping into everybody knocked in the food out of your hands and we saw a few kids putting their hands in the food and the parents did nothing about it so if I was you avoid going here the weight is even a long time to get. place is very stressful. read more

DO NOT GO HERE! I took my family out to try Ocean Buffet for the first time to celebrate the fathers for Father's Day and we were all SO displeased. My husband and I are handicapped and the floors around the entire restaurant were slippery which made it difficult for us to get our food. My granddaughter had to help us. The restaurant is not handicap friendly (it is accessible with a ramp but the floors being slippery and the tables being so close together made it difficult to navigate the restaurant). There was also food all over the floors and the counters near all of the food areas were sticky. The food was poor quality, a lot of things were cold, over and undercooked, and not being replenished. The service was very rude, as I was walking back and forth to the table, staff members kept bumping into me. When I approached the grill area, I couldn't get the gentleman's attention because he was on his phone with his head down. When I was paying my tab, the waitress gave me a nasty look because we did not leave a tip since we were displeased. Avoid this dump at all costs unless you want to have a panic attack! Unfortunately, I did not get any photos of the food but trust me, you're not missing much. read more

Went again for lunch with my parents. We all loved it. Tons of choices. Delicious food. Attentive staff.

Crab over cooked so the meat dosnt pull out the shell, lobster seemed undercooked and was not good, sushi selection was not good, most rolls were no fish or spicy tuna type, found dirty plates. Hibachi grill food was alrite but not a sell to return. I would consider this the Wallmart of buffets, you will understand if you go... read more

Ocean has only been around for a few months, so there are details that need to be worked out , but my 5 visits have been a treat . While much of the offerings are standard buffet fare , sauteed zucchini and Brussel's Sprouts with varied dessert offerings from week to week are welcome changes . The layout is a bit of a maze, which actually can make a visit more enjoyable , and extra utensils and condiments are easily accessible . Ocean's most outstanding feature for me is the quality of its servers, which makes it the most " Chinese" of Chinese restaurants : Most of the young waiters are really gentleman and the waitresses as caring as they are lovely : like every mother's son and every father's daughter ........... Two drawbacks do stand out : the toilet in the handicapped stall is several inches too low for anyone wheelchair bound or suffering from back pain . On my last visit, ALL the music was high tempoed Spanish fare , fine for a while but ultimately very annoying ; the music was kept low and soothing on my other visits ; THESE ARE EASY PROBLEMS TO RECTIFY and I am certain the very senior friendly owner will pay attention to these matters . read more

I came to try this new buffet, it looked pretty nice and the decoration was fancy. The food tasted like any other Buffet nearby, not too much of an option in the food area. What threw me off about this place was the customer service. The staff were extremely rude, I was a bit shocked. I walked into the building, in the middle of the host yelling at a customer, they're not very attentive or friendly. I would definitely not return knowing there are other options way better with the same price if not cheaper. read more

Unfortunately, the meal was underwhelming. Aside from the fried rice, which was decent, the rest of the food arrived cold, lacked flavor, and was unpleasantly chewy. I don't plan on returning. read more

the restaurant has a great variety of food. i don't eat chinese or seafood but if thats your thing its a great place.

Food was good, very crowded, seems like employees are not treated well, witnessed a manger or owner not sure, yelling and degrading employees out in the open, not a good experience. read more

Very very run of the mill as far as AYCE Chinese buffets are concerned. Placed looked clean. If you hit these types of places for the sushi, do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. read more

food was not pleasing tasted soggy and old had a bitter taste expensive for no reason and ain't even have no crab legs out js doing false advertising. read more

We arrived around 545pm and the place was extremely crowded. We were told a 15 minute wait and were seated in 10 minutes. The food was very fresh. When something ran out it was replaced as soon as it was gone. The variety of dishes was extensive. The wait staff was efficient and took away empty plates quickly. We will definitely go back! read more

Went for lunch this afternoon and was not happy with the quality of food or service. The food was subpar and reminded me of bad Chinese food. The front desk person had a terrible attitude and asked us to step aside when we first came in. I went to make a plate when the front desk (manager?) came over to me and said I couldn't have the crab legs. Apparently they were switching things in for the dinner crowd. I told him I didn't realize and asked what I could have. He replied "no seafood." You could imagine a place named Ocean Buffett doesn't have many other options. About 30 mins later he had signs put all around saying "dinner only" on a bunch of items, but not all of the seafood. The rest of our meal felt uncomfortable as he kept walking by like he was checking that we were following the "rules." Just an uncomfortable situation over all and with the food being subpar, we will not be going back. read more

The food is great and very affordable and the atmosphere is beautiful. Service is good and staff is very kind.

Very good food it includes a sushi bar, hibachi, and grilled food apart from the regular buffet. The service is very good staff are friendly. It looks very clean and nice. read more

Same buffet as before, only outside changed and name changed, nothing else. Certainly not appetizing to eat there as I walk around to check it out. Don't bother, nothing of interest, just laying around getting stale and old - meager portions, not even 5 pieces of any one item displayed, no patrons, nothing signifying a primarily fish restaurant. Walked out rapidly, never to return! read more
