We ended up getting the fish tacos and upon checking the receipt that's indeed where the lady behind the counter had put in. I was about to insist on getting that I had ordered when I heard shouting from the back saying they're out of fish for the day haha. So we ate the tacos instead, thankfully there were still fries in it. The poor lady was horrified but not entirely her fault, she was sweet and very apologetic (especially when we went back to get the colour we forgot to pick up). Food was super tasty, staff was nice, I'd definitely go there again.

We have been using Bodega Harbor Inn for over 35 years and have always had exceptional customer…read moreservice from George and Steve. Our most recent experience was not great with newer employee (Gina). When we arrived on WED we were happy to get our keys to the Harbor House as it was our first time to stay in this house. We got into the house and we realized it smelled of gas. There was one burner that was taped off with do not use on the tape. It was obvious that the Inn was aware there was a problem, yet this was not taken care of properly prior to our arrival. We returned to the office to inform them with our concerns in the Harbor House. Gina let us know that she has had other guests with the same complaints but she said it had been recently serviced. She said if it made us feel better she could have the handyman come look at it again in the morning. She tried to reach the him, but there was no answer and she had to leave a message. Gina did assure us that the owners daughter had just stayed in the Harbor House with no complaints. We chose to stay the night and have the handyman check the stove in the morning. It was two days before the stove was checked so we were not able to use the heat or stove until Friday evening. The young man who worked on the stove let us know it was leaking gas because it was not fixed correctly. We also had some attitude from Gina when we tried to get 4 wash cloths and more coffee for the coffee maker. We also had to ask for toilet paper twice because we only had 2 spare rolls for 4 adults staying 5 nights (6 days). We should have been offered a discount for the 3 days we were not able to safely use the heater and stove due to the gas leak. We have decided that we will have to move on and find a new place to stay for our yearly vacation to Bodega Bay. I think things would have been handled differently had George or Steve been running the office that week. We are very lucky that the house did not blow up nor did we have poisoning due to the natural gas leak. Keeping all the windows open until it was properly serviced was difficult because it was so cold, but we are still here to share this story. Looking back on this we never should have stayed in the home but I am happy to be alive. We are just disappointed that our trip was not enjoyable and we paid extra to stay in the house when we would have had a better vacation just renting a room without these issues.

You really can't beat the views at Bodega Harbor Inn! They have plenty of Adirondack chairs where…read moreyou can sit back and relax, along with a few tables that were perfect for enjoying a glass of wine, playing Yahtzee, and watching the sunset. The inn is located on a busy road, but traffic slows down in the evening. The rooms have a charming beachy feel and are on the smaller side, but that's exactly what we expected after reading reviews. We were only staying one night, so we booked the smallest room. If we return for a longer stay, we'd probably opt for a larger room. That said, if you're in Bodega Bay, hopefully you're spending most of your time exploring rather than sitting in your room! The rooms include mini fridges and a coffee station, and the lobby has a larger coffee and tea station as well as a microwave. Parking is located right outside your room, which makes loading and unloading easy. The location is also very convenient. It's within walking distance of a grocery store that has just about everything you might need, including a deli. The Birds Cafe is right across the street and serves coffee, delicious breakfasts, oysters, lobster rolls, and more - all with fantastic views. Overall, this is a great spot if you're looking for a comfortable stay with incredible views and easy access to everything Bodega Bay has to offer.

I originally booked a room at Ocean Cove Lodge for May 25-26 because the Booking.com listing…read moreindicated that the room had a hot tub. Before my arrival, I spoke with the property by phone and was told that the room I had booked actually did not have a hot tub. Since having a hot tub was important to me and was one of the reasons I made the reservation, I had to book a different room at the same property for the same dates that did have one. I discussed the situation directly with Sam, the owner/manager, and he told me that he would resolve the issue and that the original reservation would be refunded. Booking.com subsequently told me that they could process the refund, but they needed written confirmation from the property stating that the refund was approved. Booking.com contacted the property requesting this confirmation, and I also contacted Sam myself. Unfortunately, despite Sam having already promised me that the issue would be resolved and the original booking refunded, he never followed through. I sent multiple emails asking him to simply confirm the refund to Booking.com, including follow-up messages after receiving no response. None of my emails were answered. This was not a case of me simply changing my plans or deciding that I no longer wanted the room. I rebooked because I was specifically informed by the property that the room I had originally reserved did not have the amenity it had been advertised with. I then relied on Sam's assurance that the original reservation would be refunded. Mistakes in online listings can happen. What made this experience particularly disappointing was the way it was handled afterward. Sam personally told me that he would take care of the problem, yet when Booking.com needed a simple written confirmation to issue the refund, he stopped responding altogether. I gave Sam and the property multiple opportunities to resolve this privately before writing a review. Unfortunately, my repeated attempts to contact him went unanswered. Based on my experience, I would be very cautious booking here. The inaccurate listing was frustrating, but the much bigger issue was the lack of follow-through, communication, and accountability after the owner/manager had personally promised to resolve the problem.

I booked 2 nights here at Sebastopol Inn (via Booking.com) last minutes for a short trip to Bodega…read morebay. Reading some negative reviews from Booking.com and here on Yelp, I was a bit concerned. But we had a pleasant time there. The room looked new with simple but nice decor. I believe they just have all the rooms renovated. There were AC, but you can lift the window to get some breeze fresh air. They have Keurig coffee machine, small fridge but no microwave. The lady at the lobby (afternoon to night shift) was very nice and helpful. Plus, there is a very nice coffee shop (coffee Catz) just few steps from the inn and across the street is The Barlow Community Market (a complex of food, brewing, grocery, shopping). I would recommend you to visit this lovely small town if you go to Bodega bay and stay in The Sebastopol Inn.

This is apparently the only motel/hotel/inn in Sebastopol and the experience at check-in was so…read morehorrible, that I can say little positive about it. The room was spacious, somewhat dated, but the room (with the exception of the bathroom) was immaculate. The beds were comfortable. As I there for a two-day wedding celebration, and the Inn appeared to be the only lodging available in Sebastopol. I had booked a room with balcony, and the confirmation came back from booking.com that my reservation was with balcony. When I arrived, I was told that their computer system was down and 1) they wanted to make photocopies of both my ID and credit card; 2) They needed me to fill out two different letter size forms, with all inclusive information, address, telephone, credit card number, expiration, 3-digit cc security number, personal email address, etc. I objected to the photo-copying, stating I had never experienced this before, only out-of-country, when hotels sometimes are required by their national laws to keep photocopies of passport pages. As I had the wedding the next day, I could not move to another lodging. When the clerk gave me the room card and information, I saw that I had room with patio, not balcony. And at $204.06 per night, I expected what I had reserved. I brought up the booking.com confirmed reservation on my smartphone, but the clerk refused to look at it, stating that the reservation was with them, not booking.com and booking.com had come up with their own description. I demurred, based on my experiences with booking.com and other reservation sites and asked to speak with the manager or owner, but was told no one was available. As I was leaving the office, the clerk shouted after me, something to the effect that "I don't see why you feel so entitled." Apparently $204.06 per night did not allow me to feel entitled to the room I had reserved. The reception that I received clouded my entire stay. As I mentioned above, the room was immaculate with the exception of the bathroom. The entire bathroom could use a deep cleaning - photos attached of the lavatory and the toilet paper stand, which you can see is extremely rusted on its base and the tile floor could use a deep cleaning. The drain of the lavatory also needed work. The upkeep of the bathroom ranks at the bottom of hotels/motels/inns at which I have stayed. On my final morning, I checked, and someone had gone in to the booking.com site and altered the reservation to delete the "balcony" part of the reservation. When checking out, I was told the statement would be emailed to me, but after 25 days, I still have not received it. Even if I have another wedding to attend in Sebastopol, I could never bring myself to stay here again.

There is a no refund policy, which means you cannot cancel your reservations. This place is very expensive, more than what we wanted to spend. With it being summer, peak season, and no other rooms within 75 miles, we had no options but to take it. The place is very old, very very old. They said that they newly renovated. The repainted, put in new linoleum floors, super cheap beds, they are really cots with a soft matress put on top, they are not real beds. They give you a child size table and 2 child size chairs to sit on. A mini fridge, which is okay, and a very tiny microwave. They do not do yard maintenance, even though they say it is more natural and organic and better for wildlife, and to save water. They said the mow every 2-3 weeks. There are huge rosemary shrubs in front of all of the rooms. They are overgrown and should be trimmed, your view is blocked. There are a few plastic tables and Adirondack type chairs out in the field, but nothing near your room if you want to sit outside. There is a nice pool which they lock up every night at 7pm, so your family has to get out at 7pm. The bathrooms are small but come with towels, etc. They have hair dryers, soap and shampoo. We had a few issues our room, I reported it to the 800 number, whom told the manager. He called me and we discussed the issues, and said thank you, that he was unaware of those issue and he will fix them. I was satisfied with my conversation with the manager, he was very professional and understanding. Thank you Xavier. This place is next to Northwwods golf course. There is a restaurant at the golf course. Next door is a little cafe with good food. It is quiet and peaceful here except for a few noisy tenants. $320 per night is way too much for this place. As for the positives, the rooms are all very clean, spacious, and comfortable with amenities like kitchenettes and seating areas. The building is also a very short walk to the downtown square with plenty of shopping and restaurants. There was also a nice common space that had continental breakfast items for grab and go. However, I found that some of the customer service was lacking, and this was very dependent on who was behind the front desk. We had one person who was pretty unhelpful and got annoyed when we asked about accessing parking or if they would be willing to hold bags behind the desk, but when we came back later, there was a different person, and they were very helpful. In addition, this isn't a resort, so they don't have amenities like a gym/pool or dining onsite, but that's expected. I would probably stay here again based on the rooms and location. It's a great option for a longer, economical, comfortable stay.

What a great way to kick off 2026! Had the pleasure of staying here for the MLK long weekend. We've…read morehad a tradition of holding an annual family reunion in Wine Country. We historically have stayed in the Healdsburg area. This year we decided to mix it up a bit and stay in Santa Rosa. With its proximity to Santa Rosa downtown as well as multiple other wine country towns and attractions, we picked Art House to stay at. For our very large group of 20+ people, everything went super smoothly from start to finish. Booking our multiple rooms all on the same floor of the hotel was so easy and ideal. We booked everything from the Classic King Rooms to the Urban King Apartment Suite all the way up to the Cityscape Corner Apartment Suite. All the rooms were extremely reasonably priced and worked out great! I personally stayed in the Corner Apartment Suite and it was just such a great space. With a huge living/dining room, full kitchen and separate bedroom with a king bed and bathroom, it was so comfy. The floor to ceiling windows let in so much natural light with sweeping views of the Santa Rosa skyline. It frequently served as homebase most of our stay for everyone to just gather and hang out together in. It was just a fantastic room. Another huge plus was the complimentary Continental Breakfast. Stocked with bagels, English muffins, muffins, cereal, granola, yogurt, juice, milk, Nespresso coffee and various teas, this was simply fantastic to start the day with. For our huge group with multiple kids, it also saved us so much hassle and extra money vs. going out to an off-site restaurant for breakfast. What also made our stay EXTRA AMAZING was all of the staff. From the front desk team to housekeeping, every single staff member was absolutely wonderful. I will especially like to point out Marilyn, Ruth and Bernadette. This trio of women really went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed during our stay. I really hope the hotel management recognizes this remarkable team. To be a good, complete reviewer, I will point out the few minor quibbles that others in our group did mention. The $21/night parking in the extremely tight enclosed garage was a bit pricey. Paid street parking is plentiful and cheaper, but if you have a nicer car then the choice is yours. The local Santa Rosa tap water flowing from all the room faucets could use a filter to help improve the taste a bit. And finally the shower pressure could use a lesser flow restrictor. Overall, Art House is just a fantastic choice if you are looking to stay in the Santa Rosa area. Our huge group unanimously agreed that we will definitely be back for a future repeat reunion here!

The rates for 2 days depending on what day you make the reservations and the month- week of your stay can be from $450-$650. The other hotels in the area can be $1,200.-$1,600 for the same 2 days. Luis, the manager at the front office, provided us a warm welcoming and he gave us a tour of the property. We liked Luis for his good customer service and his honesty. Yes, there a few things that weren't perfect, but as long as it was functional and still in working order was ok with us. You will see photos from other reviews , and they have made improvements and/ or corrections based on those complaints. For example, our dinner table had some bubbles on the top in the paint. It was still functional and we ate dinner using the table without any problem. Their TV system is set up for streaming. The bed was comfortable and the master bedroom was nice with a big screen tv and dressers for him and her. The lighting system is limited, but there's room for improvement. Our room came with a refrigerator, stove, microwave and keurig coffee maker all functional. I spoke with Luis and I gave him some recommendations how they can improve the property. Luis took my recommendations by writing them down. This location has great views of the bay. And it's close to everything. Plenty of property to walk your pet and they have a pool table and a swimming pool for some fun. this hotel has a lot of potential and as long as they continue to improve their property, this will be a great place to stay. We will be back in the future.

Overall I would say my gf and I had a wonderful and pleasant experience at Hotel Dega. As a 3-star…read moreboutique hotel actively working to rebrand/ update itself it suited our needs but could still use some work/ minor tweaks and adjustments. We recently spent 6 days there celebrating our 2 year anniversary! I booked one of the bigger luxury suites with them that had a king size bed, wall fireplace (electric not gas), free standing bathtub and an oceanside view. In no particular order here are my suggestions/ critiques: - As one of the only pet friendly hotels in the area (we brought our dog with us) you should have bowls for food/ water and a bed already in your pet friendly rooms. I had to ask the front desk for a bowl. - Toilet paper and tissues should be abundant with multiples of each already in each room. 2 small packs of tissue and three rolls of toilet paper isn't enough for two people. I had to ask the front desk multiple times for more toilet paper and tissues (mildly embarrassing for me as a guest but also a hassle and since I was on vacation I feel like I shouldn't have had to). - The free standing tub is too small (could only fit one of us) and awkwardly shaped (super deep but not long enough to spread out). The bathroom in this suite was easily big enough for either a two person free standing tub or even a jet tub. Also because it's free standing there was nothing underneath it to catch excess water/ overspill resulting in water all over the bathroom floor. A pan underneath the tub or something similar would have helped. Great idea in theory and a nice luxury amenity/ aesthetic but practically it doesn't really work. The wand feature it had was a nice addition as well as the wooden tray for soaps, a glass of wine, etc but gets in the way of the spout so we ended up not using it. - The bathroom was pretty big with space for a closet as well (which we didn't end up using) and I think that space could have been utilized better by having an additional rack or table for storage, not only there but in the bathroom itself (more often than not I had to move things to the counter where the sink was because that was the only usable space off the floor). - The vanity/ countertops should have had two sinks installed instead of only one. - The towels could have been better quality. - There were shallow scratch marks on the floor and walls. - The mini patio off the hotel room was a nice addition as well but the small table and two chairs on it were in rough shape (slightly rusted, peeling paint, and no cushions on the seats). - No complimentary breakfast but there is a small Keurig coffee machine in the room, a microwave and a mini fridge. If you're not going to have a complimentary breakfast at least consider partnering with some of the local cafes and restaurants that do serve breakfast (offer a slight discount and send them customers). - The on-site amenities are bare and lackluster (a common room on a second floor with places to sit and chat, play pool/ board games, watch TV, bird watch or just watch the bay/ sunset/ sunrise), an outdoor and gated jacuzzi/ space area and a water/ ice machine. All of these require leaving your room (the hotel itself is made up of multiple buildings/ outdoor spaces, it's not one giant building). These are all in my opinion simply suggestions/ ideas to consider to bring that sense of luxury to your hotel and to your guests. However, overall it was a wonderful experience that just missed the mark in terms of what I consider a "luxurious experience."
