Dr. Chow and Kira were awesome! Super friendly staff and it's very evident that they are all truly there to help with your vision needs!

Got my new glasses Friday, they are awesome and your Issaquah store is even nicer than your Sammamish location. THANKS!

I live in Seattle, but choose to drive to Sammamish because of how great Dr. Jay and everyone here is! Excellent care and customer service!

She is very proficient at formulating eyeglass prescriptions and Leslie was very helpful with picking out frames.

It is a small practice in…read morethe Klahanie shopping center, plenty of parking, easy appointments (I just book them online and get a confirmation in less than an hour) with no crazy wait times like the bigger practices, and the staff/ doctors are always punctual. I have been seeing Dr Juang and she is terrific! Very cheerful and very knowledgeable. Her exams are thorough and she is always thinking a couple of years ahead and what would be best for your eyes (being at that wonderful "just turned 40 and do I need bi-vocals" stage in life). Insurance is dealt with by the front office. I have started to order my contact lenses through them, they might be a few dollars more than Costco, but the convenience of ordering them from the neighborhood clinic is well worth it. I will be back to get glasses in January. The only "drawback": I wish they still did the writing off of the contact lens exam fee against your order total if you buy from them. That doesn't seem to be the case any more, but oh, well, its not enough of an annoyance to stop me from returning and recommending this clinic to others!

My husband and I brought a brand-new eyeglass frame purchased in Japan from Kaneko Optical JR…read moreHakata City to Klahanie Eye Care Center on December 22, 2025 for prescription lens installation -- the same morning we returned from Japan. We went in immediately because our annual vision insurance benefit was expiring on December 31, and we needed to complete the service as soon as possible before the benefit period ended. The frame had been purchased just three days earlier (Dec 19, 2025) and was brand new. At drop-off, we clearly told the staff member assisting us that: * the frame was purchased overseas just days earlier * it was difficult to replace * it contained a plastic insert and required extra care during heating We specifically asked that this be noted for the lab. We were told this would not be an issue, and based on that assurance, we proceeded. Despite this, their outside lab permanently heat-damaged one side of the frame during mounting. The damage is uneven -- one side installed properly while the other is visibly warped -- which indicates localized overheating (a preventable workmanship error, not a material defect). After the damage occurred, the business: * refused monetary compensation * offered only store credit under an "insurance" fee (this limitation was never disclosed before service) * attempted to shift responsibility to a third-party lab * minimized the damage by saying the frame was "still wearable" * later claimed the frame was "old/used/out of warranty," which is factually false We have since obtained reissued receipts, warranty proof, airline confirmation, and timestamped photos showing the frame was brand new and undamaged at drop-off. We also never spoke with the doctor who later responded to this claim -- he was not the person who assisted us that day -- so we don't know where the "used frame" story came from. Most concerning: after knowingly accepting a brand-new, overseas-purchased, non-replaceable frame -- and confirming they could safely perform the service -- the business tried to shift responsibility onto us by saying lenses should only be installed where frames are originally purchased, or that the manufacturer should replace frames damaged by labs. That's unreasonable. They accepted the frame, assured us they could handle it, and proceeded. We accepted reasonable risks like shipping loss or material defects. Negligent overheating during installation is not an unavoidable risk and should not be transferred to the customer. Based on the workmanship, lack of disclosure, and how responsibility was handled afterward, we cannot recommend this business.

Can't recall if I've reviewed them or not. I went back in March. Wasn't pleased with my appt with…read morethe first dr. He gave me a rx for reading and distance even though I just asked him a question about my reading glasses. (I just needed an updated rx for distance and new glasses). I didn't like the reading/distance rx so a few days later I had them call my old dr in West Seattle and got them to mimic my old rx. This review is based on my most recent experience- not with the male dr. Dr Nguyen was professional, listened and explained what she was doing. Unlike the male dr (they're married and partnered in business), she didn't sway my answer. He asked, "1 or 2... 2 right??" She just asked the question and let me answer it. I asked questions and she explained in detail as well as explained WHY she had these answers. In laymen terms; not jargon. Frankly no one has taken that time before. Finally, the manager in the retail side was exemplary. In fact, retail has always been great. I've never had a complaint. They're careful to ensure all basis are covered and questions are answered. Clear in responses and no confusion. Manager is very kind and even though I had to come back to have my glasses rx changed (because of dr #1), she handled it as though I were a new customer. I admit, after my initial experience I wasn't convinced I'd come back but had to because I'd purchased 2 glasses (not cheap) here. But the second experience entirely was stellar. They were all lovely.

Great customer service. Turn around on glasses were timely. Fairly decent options for frames.read more
