We went in immediately because our annual vision insurance benefit was expiring on December 31, and we needed to complete the service as soon as possible before the benefit period ended. The frame had been purchased just three days earlier (Dec 19, 2025) and was brand new. At drop-off, we clearly told the staff member assisting us that: * the frame was purchased overseas just days earlier * it was difficult to replace * it contained a plastic insert and required extra care during heating We specifically asked that this be noted for the lab. We were told this would not be an issue, and based on that assurance, we proceeded. Despite this, their outside lab permanently heat-damaged one side of the frame during mounting. The damage is uneven -- one side installed properly while the other is visibly warped -- which indicates localized overheating (a preventable workmanship error, not a material defect). After the damage occurred, the business: * refused monetary compensation * offered only store credit under an "insurance" fee (this limitation was never disclosed before service) * attempted to shift responsibility to a third-party lab * minimized the damage by saying the frame was "still wearable" * later claimed the frame was "old/used/out of warranty," which is factually false We have since obtained reissued receipts, warranty proof, airline confirmation, and timestamped photos showing the frame was brand new and undamaged at drop-off. We also never spoke with the doctor who later responded to this claim -- he was not the person who assisted us that day -- so we don't know where the "used frame" story came from. Most concerning: after knowingly accepting a brand-new, overseas-purchased, non-replaceable frame -- and confirming they could safely perform the service -- the business tried to shift responsibility onto us by saying lenses should only be installed where frames are originally purchased, or that the manufacturer should replace frames damaged by labs. That's unreasonable. They accepted the frame, assured us they could handle it, and proceeded. We accepted reasonable risks like shipping loss or material defects. Negligent overheating during installation is not an unavoidable risk and should not be transferred to the customer. Based on the workmanship, lack of disclosure, and how responsibility was handled afterward, we cannot recommend this business.

(Note cleaner used has worked fine with every other pair of glasses ever owned). Also opted for the add-on of magnetic pop on/off sunglasses. They are convenient, but the magnets are well within the field of vision. When complained about the issue was told there was nothing to do but perhaps let the manufacturer know. Finally, despite several visits for re-adjustments they still fit poorly. Back to old glasses. Waste of time and money. If you proceed anyway: Be VERY careful on your selection and stock up on the "magic" cleaner.

Just make sure you find a spot that allows two-hour parking rather than 30 minutes. I'd recommend parking on the left side near Jimmy John's or the Overlake Clinic, there's a good amount of street parking on both sides of the road in that area. I came in around 10 AM and the staff were extremely friendly. They asked about my day and how my morning was, which I really appreciated. I signed a couple of papers to get started and provided my insurance information, my mom is also on the insurance, so it was really nice that they already had a primary provider on file. I was quickly taken into a room and completed a few exams. I also received a free wellness exam since my mom is a current member, which was a huge plus. One thing I really liked about this place is that they don't do the air puff test that most eye doctors use. Usually there's a blue light you stare at and a puff of air that can irritate your eyes, so I was preparing myself for that. I was really happy they didn't do that here. Everything felt very subtle, comfortable, and smooth throughout the exam. The doctor was very kind and thorough. I did end up needing glasses, especially for long-distance driving, and the whole process of getting that figured out was quick and easy. I was able to choose my frames right after, and it was a very seamless experience. My total came out to around $100, and my insurance covered a large portion of it. My glasses should be ready within the next two weeks. Overall, I really loved this place. The staff are incredibly friendly, the process was easy, and the care was great. Our son's contact lens fitting appointment was canceled without my authorization. I never asked to cancel--if I had, I would not have rearranged my entire family's schedule for this visit. We wasted an entire day only to arrive and find out the appointment was cancelled. To make matters worse, when we got to the office, the person scheduled to see was sitting at the front desk the entire time as my husband and son waited. This shows that our time slot was open and could have been easily used, with zero valid reason for turning us away. Management was completely unprofessional throughout. Not only did nobody apologize to us in person, but no real effort was made to accommodate our son, and nobody took accountability for the staff's mistakes. Now, because of this incompetence, I have to take more time off work, my son has to miss more school, and our family has to bear the burden of their disorganization. Today's experience ruined all of my previous positive experiences with this clinic. As much as I hate the thought of changing eye clinics for my entire family, I do not want to interact with them again.
