Pros: - Available on short notice during a busy week (beginning of the month) Cons: - My appointment was scheduled for 2-4 pm. They arrived at 3:50 pm. - They did not have any plastic wrap or packing tape... Meaning NONE of my furniture was wrapped! My items were going into a storage unit, so I expected things like my mattresses and couch to be wrapped and protected from dust during the move. - They dropped an entire box of dishes, all of which shattered!! - The storage unit that I was moving my things into closed at 8:00 pm, so my boyfriend and I, my female friend, and her younger brother had to help unload the moving truck and move things into the unit in order for us to finish on time. I am 4 months pregnant and hired movers so I wouldn't have to carry things! read more

Absolutely terrible! A rip off $725 to move a 2 bedroom apt (with no boxes) one mile! Guys were nice, but very slow. Could figure out how to get a sofa into the room. Left it sitting in the garage. The owner sent me a message after writing this review and admitted that I was overcharged, but didn't seem to care that his employees over charged me by a double and threatened me to pay cash or they were not leaving my apt. read more

Fantastic! These guys were the best. I needed three very tall bookcases and a couple of large terracotta pots moved from my Aunts house to mine. I was able to get a quote the same day as my inquiry and the price was very fair and reasonable. The guys moved everything brilliantly and took great care, especially handling the the pots which were awkward to move and somewhat fragile. Everything arrived without a scratch and was moved over to my place and I never broke a sweat. It's not like I need a mover often but when I did I read through yelp reviews and picked these guys. Really glad I did. They're great. Called the night before to confirm, they were here on time the next morning. I had them pick up a bed in OC and drive it to LA, drop it off there then pack up a bunch of other furniture in an LA apt. I had to stay there and finish up some work so I trusted them to bring the furniture back to my home in OC, offload it and lock up. They did exactly what I instructed. As of this writing it's $110 an hour plus approx $150 for size of truck we needed. They will pro-rate if you use 2.5 hours, for example, they'll charge for 2.5 not 3 hours. Things get packed up nicely and you can trust them which is so important when dealing with your personal items. The workers do expect a tip on top of your invoice so be prepared for another 20%. Paid that in cash which they appreciated but you could add to bill. Would def hire again. read more

We had a team of two guys come and help us move our entire house into a Pod and the garage, for a full house flooring reno following a leak. And, 3 weeks later, they helped us move back in. (4 bedroom house, piano, all the things.) They were everything needed - timely (texted and called with timing updates), respectful, patient, funny, efficient, geniuses at packing the Pod in an intensely tight and amazing way... well worth having them! Tom and Leon did our packup, and Tom and a different guy (pardon, I'm not remembering at the moment) for move-in. They wrapped furniture in blankets and plastic wrap, and nothing was damaged in the whole saga. Nothing! Thankful. Also, they provided a receipt at the end both times, which was great for this situation, since insurance covered. We will be calling them for our next move! read more

Don't use these guys if you actually value the things you need moved. The two guys who moved my things were, at best, enthusiastic amateurs; as numerous little nicks and bumps and scrapes on the moved items can attest. The real problem, though, is their customer service. The movers removed a large mirror from a bedroom dresser. When they delivered it, they failed to hand over the hardware that attaches the mirror to the dresser. I called them an hour or so after they'd gone. "No problem, we'll deliver it to you by courier tonight!" Tomorrow, no hardware. The day after, no hardware. So I email the company. They ask me the names of the movers (they don't keep track of which movers they assign to which jobs?). I write back that I don't recall off the top of my head, but I have their cell number and I describe them. No reply. Several days go by. I write again. "Why don't you begin by telling me their names" is the only reply. No apology, nothing. So I find the receipt with their names on it. More nothing in reply. When I chase it up they tell me they're looking into it. When I chase them up again they tell me that they're sending the hardware to me by Fedex. Yay! Next day: no Fedex. No hardware. I write and ask what's up? They tell me they're "trying to obtain a tracking number." Um...how do you Fedex something without having the tracking number from the get go? It has now been days since I last wrote to them without any reply. Clearly the original movers just tossed my hardware in the bin at the end of the day and the rest of it has just been a slow run-around. Not once, I should add, has anyone associated with this company offered any kind of apology. I should note, too, that this hardware isn't just screws or bolts of the kind you could pick up at the local hardware store--it's stuff made especially for this particular mounting system on a midcentury dresser; there's no easy way to get replacements. Spare yourself this kind of frustration and aggravation and look elsewhere. Update: 2/25/18: so, this review prompted the company to contact me, finally, to tell me that they can't get hold of the guys who did my move and to admit that they have no idea what became of the missing hardware. If you're thinking about hiring this company I'd like you to think long and hard about the implications of that: this is a company that hires people as movers with so little sense of who they are, what their backgrounds are, what training or experience they have, that a couple of days after they complete a job they can't recognize them from a description, or track them down even once they have their names. Essentially, then, if you use OC Mini Movers you are doing the same thing as hiring a couple of guys off the street--you're just paying more for the privilege. Oh, also, they told me they have lots of trashed furniture I'm welcome to come poke through to see if I can find something similar to the hardware they lost. Yeah...movers who generate lots of trashed furniture. Maybe they should make that their slogan? "We trash so much furniture, you're bound to find the parts we lose for you!" read more

I wouldn't bother calling this place to help move anything.. Please pass this place up. Wow only 5mins after posting MY bad experience with him over the phone he Decides to add harassment by calling me and asking surprised, "really you gave me a bad review?" oh c'mon he should know it's a social media world...I just hang up on him... (I'm busy calling real professionals to help move me) I now understand why on a Friday evening he's busy answering phones and checking the company's yelp reviews, no actual business, huh?!... Tommy and Marlin did an amazing job being careful with many heavy pieces of furniture and even when we added additional pieces and an additional location, they did it with such professionalism and care even though they had another job lined up. This is the best experience in moving I have had. Working with the company via text to get a quote and confirm a date and time for my move was easy, quick and reasonable. The movers, Narith and Luis, were wonderful. I was the second move for the day. Luis contacted me immediately when they arrived at their first move which proved larger than expected. They were determined to meet my quoted time window and made sure I knew they would make it but it would be close. They made it. When they arrived they both made it a point not just to say "hi" but introduce themselves. The move went great with no problems. They were so quick. They were great until the shift changed and another man showed up to help. He was not efficient as the others and needed constant instruction and supervision. Additionally, I contracted with them to put the beds together and not only did they not do that but they left our reclining couch in pieces. Well they ended up with a good tip and i would use them again but I would be pickier about the people doing the job. read more
