I came back last week and indulged in a 60 minute foot and 30 min neck/shoulder course. THE GUY FELL ASLEEP. So sad. They moved. The new room(s) are dark (READ HERE SLEEP INDUCING FOR THE THERAPIST). At first I thought this was great. Easier to relax. If you read my other reviews about other reflexology places you'll find that this is not the first time this has happened to me. I must attract this in massage therapists. BUT... those places are also $20 - $30. This place is $100 plus for my 90 minutes of service. I gotta admit, I was impressed because this guy fought valiantly. But you can tell when things are going south. The pressure starts to diminish. The strokes get slower and slower. The massage just keeps going over the same spots again and again and again and again ... and then for a few moments, everything stops. OVER AND OVER again. I like to snooze a little, not sleep, while I get my feet rubbed... and since I'm paying for it... I should be able to. But when I gotta watch my therapist out of the opened slits of my eyes... and my irritation grows each time his elbows slip off of his knees, jarring him awake temporarily... I'm no longer snoozy... I'm WIDE AWAKE. And M-A-D. I have had such wonderful experiences here in the past, and pay a lot for them, that I was completely SHOCKED that this was happening HERE. Now, I should have walked out and refused to pay. But making a scene and being indignant would have made me ever more mad and in the end, I was so frustrated and annoyed I just wanted to be done and get out. The front desk was right outside my area and the workers didn't bother to lower their voices when talking to each other. The woman on the phone took calls the whole time. The people in the room next to me were talking with very loud voices. The professionalism of Oasis Spa has slipped considerably. I'm so so so disappointed in my latest visit. I'll put up with less than considerate employee voice levels and environmental annoyances (ringing phone, etc) for the economy foot massage establishments. But when I'm paying the going rate for a regular full body massage (you know... private room with a door and walls, a table, etc) then my expectations are higher. At the very least I expect a good massage by a therapist that is present, not phoning it in. No, I did not inform the manager/ woman manning the front desk. She couldn't be bothered to get off the phone while I paid. Terrible. read more

The massage was very good, my masseuse knew what she was doing and adjusted the pressure to my liking. The best part about this place was that it could accommodate me and my two friends at the same time. Also, the tea they served was very delicious! The big downside was that the spa was pretty ghetto. The walls were thin and the spa was basically one big room, so I could hear noises from outside, the people leaving and paying, the people waiting to be next, pipes running, the stranger next to me talking to her masseuse. This was not relaxing at all!!! However, I could tell the staff did their best to compartmentalize the room and give each person as much privacy as possible and be as quiet as possible. Also, everything seemed worn out/down: the walls, the linens, the cups, the chairs--it was not a very pleasant, relaxing environment. read more

My mom and I have never gotten a reflexology foot massage before. So when we went to Oasis Spa, we didn't really know what to expect. But the girls were very nice and explained everything with much detail. The spa itself is small, and I don't think there are many therapists working at a time, so making an appointment was extremely difficult. We had to book over one week in advance. The service itself was wonderful. It's a painful experience, but it was well worth it. When we got home, my mom said that her knees didn't feel sore anymore. Amazing! You don't have to worry about sanitation here either because they are very clean. No cross contamination of any type of germs at all. Not a service I'd get often, but definietely a good place to get relexology if that's what you're looking for. read more

Great overall experience! These people really helped me out! I had such a stiff neck and upper back and was not finding relief anywhere else. I had tried another place and it got worse. Then I tried the chiropractor...no change. I looked at the reviews for Oasis and saw all good ones and figured I'd give it a try. Its what everyone else says. These little Japanese ladies use their knuckles to dig into tough areas. My lady hardly spoke English, but it didnt matter. She knew what she was doing. She massaged the area that most people miss-where the bones and the muscles of the spine attach. It felt soooo good! Someone could finally ease the pain! It is one open room so people are curtained off. One guy was talking incessantly and that was annoying. There should be a sign that says 'if you talk please whisper'. I think he finally wore his voice out and for the next half hour it was all silence. There were about 4 of us in the room and I think everyone getting massaged went to sleep. I was completely relaxed. I would definitely return to this place. The reflexology on my feet was awesome too! You have to get reflexology in order to get the neck and back massage. This is not a place that does full body massages. But, it was definitely a good experience! read more

Oasis Spa is definitely an oasis...this spa is very modest and unassuming...it's a small clean place partitioned off by hanging sheets clipped with clothing pins. This spa is one of two spas that I know of tht strictly specialize in foot reflexology; the other being in Waikiki where former employees of Oasis used to work. If you've never had a foot reflexology massage, it's time u did. It's definitely not for those who are sensitive on their feet as the applied pressure can be quite painful; although, they can ease up on the pressure. These timid, quiet, yet friendly massage therapists have you fooled because at first glance u assume,"how hard could they possibly massage?". Well, after having your feet soaked in hot water with lavendar and sipping on peppermint tea, your feet are then lathered up in cream and applied a deep pressure on points upon your tired, achey feet... While working your feet, these women can tell you anatomically where there are problems within your body due to parts of your feet they press. It's quite interesting. Also, if u get a foot massage, u have to try a neck/shoulder massage as they are just as good with that as they are the feet. You won't be disappointed. While you get your foot/shoulder massage, u sit back comfortably in a very soft plush leather chair with your feet raised on an ottoman. First your massage therapist will have you sit in a large recliner chair. She will offer you delicious hot tea. She will place your feet in a tub of hot soothing water. So relaxing. For now. Then she will proceed with your feet. And this is what a voodoo doll feels like. Poked and prodded, not with needles, but with knuckles! I had to ask for an extra washcloth to cover my eyes. I needed something to resemble a hood over my head because I just couldn't bear to look into the eyes of my torturer any much longer! Domo arigato! read more

So funny story: It's a couple days before Valentines Day, and I am trying to figure out a plan for Vday, having found out last minute that both my boyfriend and I miraculously have the day off. I remember that he has talked quite a bit about how wonderful the reflexology at Oasis Spa is, so I call and book an appointment for two. Brilliant, I think. He'll never guess. The big day arrives, he does a great job surprising me with roses, and a gift. Imagine my surprise when I open it to find a gift certificate to Oasis Spa for reflexology. "How convenient, I already made an appointment!" I exclaim. I guess great minds think alike. I had no idea what to expect having never gotten reflexology before, except what my boyfriend told me, which was basically, "it hurts a lot during the massage, but it's good pain and it will feel amazing afterward." Really, I can't think of a better description. This is a small, unassuming spa. Don't expect multiple rooms with soothing neutral colors, plinky-plunky music, and aromatherapy scents drifting around. It is exactly what it needs to be: quiet, comfortable, and friendly. The chairs they have you sit in during your treatment are insanely comfy, and they give you peppermint tea to drink. They actually have a massage room for two, which I enjoyed because I could actually spend the time with my boyfriend on Valentines Day. (Yeah, I'm cheesy like that.) We started with a 10 minute shoulder and neck massage. I thought I was going to die for a couple minutes, for brief moments it was so painful I was fighting back tears, but I could feel the knots and sore spots being worked away and by the end I was very relaxed. They soak your feet in warm water, then wrap them in towels so you feel very cozy the whole time. The reflexology treatment was awesome. She was great about noticing immediately when it was painful, explaining what that spot represented, and working through it. She was friendly and just very responsive in general to my reactions. Yes, there were moments when it hurt, but by the end I was relaxed in a way I can't say I have ever felt before. It was pretty amazing. This was a birthday gift from my boyfriend. My therapist was Tomo. She sat me down on the chair. She gave me some raspberry peach hot tea. I wanted the shoulder and neck massage. That was the best 30 minutes of my life. I couldn't even talk. Then I had a 45 minute foot massage. Whew that hurt but it was so relaxing. Be careful if you are tense like me. Upon walking in, I was surprised the place was so small. I think they can only take about 4 people at a time. Since the space is so small, you can hear everything that's going on. There was a lady also getting a foot massage who wouldn't stop talking to her masseuse, but eventually I got use to it. What made up for it was the lady who gave me my massage. I got a 20 minute shoulder massage and 45 minutes foot massage. My shoulders hurt! And she hit all the right places on my feet. I wish I was in there all day. Highly recommend the place if you need some serious foot massage. Just be ready for the tight quarters and lack of a spa ambiance. read more

I can't feel my feet !!! I see them floating down there in the bathtub all tomato red from the hot water. But I can't feel anything past my calves. That never happens. I soak everyday in 30 percent salt water just to rid the aches. And now. I can say after my first reflexology apt today I can't feel any more pain or ache. I can't feel anything. Amazing! Great service and wonderful therapists. Only downside is they answer phones (which is great when I'm the one calling to make an appointment ;P) so your service can be interrupted. I have had a few foot reflexology massages over the years, including in San Francisco china town, Bangkok, Cambodia and Aveda salons to name a few. This place is as good as they get. I went in with lingering foot,pain in my left foot and it just feels fine now....hours after the massage. Don't go here if you want the luxury spa experience, But do go here if,you want to float out afterwards. My girlfriend who,is a flight attendant on a layover from the mainland and has been to many spas also LOVED the Oasis. TRY it.....you will LOVE it....place is busy for a reason! read more

The level of professionalism and service is awesome, and these people definitely know what they're doing. The price is a bit steep, but given the quality of service it is reasonable. The space is a bit cramped, although the staff will go out of their way to make sure that you're comfortable. Although it is considered "alternative medicine" one of the employees here was able to figure out I had some health issues before I noticed anything, and then had these issues verified by tests done by my "Western" doctor. Decided to take a break from my usual massage and try something new. Some people have been raving about foot massages so I had to get in on the action. The session started off with a soak in warm water then the massage began. The lady started from my toes down to my heel then to my calf. The pressure was good enough, and I didn't think my feet would need massaging until this session. She said something that I had stress because my toes were painful. This place is great. While I was in Kyoto, I did a reflexology session at the train station mall. And it was the greatest thing I have experienced as far as a massage goes. So I wanted the same thing but obviously I'm not going to fly to Kyoto just for a foot massage. I found Oasis on Yelp, read about how they are from Japan, and had to check them out. Let me say, it was fricken sore. But I knew it would be. I have a lot of tension in my neck shoulders and back and she was able to relieve a lot of that pressure during my 60min. session. It was great. I need to go back and release more of those toxins settling in my feet. I think its so amazing how they know what's wrong with you by just feeling around your feet.
