I love massages and have been seriously lacking in them since I left Asia. The power of massage for improving one's health and overall wellbeing is real, and it's a shame that it's considered an expensive luxury in the USA. I believe that everyone would be much happier and mellow if massages were more affordable or partially covered by health insurance. We can change the world one massage at a time! I have been able to tell that my muscles have become more tense after forgoing massages in Hawaii. Getting a massage was a regular activity that I would partake in to relax and unwind when I lived in Asia. When I decided to finally get a professional massage in Hawaii, I looked for a place that offered traditional Asian massage because Western masseuses don't give strong enough massages in my opinion. Those who love a hard and strong massage will love Oasis Spa. I had a dark room all to myself, a perfect place to stretch out on the recliner and relax during my massage. I opted for a foot massage as well as a 20-minute head and shoulder massage. My masseuse was a petite woman, but her hands were so strong. She started off with ten minutes massaging my head and shoulders. It hurt a bit but also felt amazing. It made me fall asleep halfway through my foot massage. She ended with another ten minutes massaging my head and shoulders. I left the room feeling like a new person. My muscles in my shoulders and legs felt so much looser and relaxed. As I left I was given a stamp card that I'm sure I'll get to the end of eventually because I most definitely plan to return.

This was a lovely treat on a Sunday. I called to make an appointment but you can also book online. They are located in the Alamoana building across from the main level of Alamoana center, on the fourth floor. Our appointment was for 1115 we got there around 11, checked in and waiting in the waiting area. It's a cute cozy spot. I like that they do couple treatments. When it was our appointment time we were walked into a room that had two big white chairs. We were offered tea or water and then we were able to soak our feet in hot water for about 10 minutes, then the massage began. They make sure to focus on all 64 points of your feet. The 60 minute massage includes a calf massage as well. They use a nice soothing lotion that makes your skin feel buttery soft. To end the experience they wrap your feet in hot towels. The staff are friendly and the place is clean. They offer kamaaina discount as well. The total for both of us was $122. Great deal! Can't wait to go back. Reflexology is a great stress reducer, and the therapists know what they are doing!

Go here. Been going for a few years now. It's a small hidden gem. I like hard massages, and this did not disappoint. Teas really good too.

Hands down the best foot massage on Oahu. Parking can be hard to find unless you park in the shopping center and walk.

Massage in Honolulu, Hawaii…read more.. The name of the place is a bit misleading. Zudao Foot Massage Center also provides body massages! My friend, Irene, gave me a gift card for my birthday a few months ago. I decided to get one for her, too... so that we could go together! I paid cash to avoid credit card fees. When we redeemed our gift cards, tax was included! We tipped with cash after we were done. We both walked in, after parking in the front. There's a small, free parking lot. It's located across from the Convention Center. The same woman at the front desk was polite, efficient, and friendly! We used the restroom first, and got seated next to each other in the dimly lit communal room. The combo deal (body and foot massage) started with a warm water foot soak while our upper bodies were massaged. Later, we laid face down on the padded table, then turned over and got a scalp massage. My therapist was very strong. I felt like my back was bruised... haha! When my legs were hurting, I was able to move my leg away from the pressure. It wasn't easy to move away from the back massage. I guess I could have yelled out, but I thought that my back was probably tight and needed loosening up? Well... it was an educational experience. It's not really a relaxing type of massage, but I think I did nod off a little... here and there...

Many talented…read moreworkers have left over the years, but I was typically able to find at least one decent masseuse. However, on my recent visit I had to change the masseuse 3 times due to poor skill level and finally gave up after the 3rd person was terrible as well. The owner didn't seem to care that the staff including the primary instructor turnover was so high, and as a result no remaining employees were sufficiently skilled. When asking the owner for good masseuse recommendations over the years, her answer is always "everyone here is good". The truth is only 1 or 2 workers are worth visiting at any given time Additionally, the owner's husband is usually grumpy and rude, so there was little reason to continue giving this place more chances. He often points at customers when checking out and says "hey you need to add tip!" despite customers not even having completed checkout. Yes, he even says it to me after 10 years, knowing I typically tip 35% or more.

My technician was Mina. She performed my service package. At other spas I've been to, different people performed different tasks in the spa package. Mina was excellent at everything, from scrubs and massages to facials. She was professional, friendly, and thorough with her work. She also provided instructions after each item session (my package included facility use, scrub, massage, and facials). I got to the facility ~30 mins before my appointment. An employee walked me through the facility and provided instructions. I used the hot tub and plunge pool before the scrub. After my session was done with Mina, I had lunch with friends. After that, I used the dry and charcoal rooms. The business was clean and organized. They had lockers for us to store our things in. The posted signs on the wall were a little confusing, but you can always ask the staff if you are unclear. They were friendly. In the beginning, I was a little nervous about booking for my group after reading the negative reviews and responses, as I wanted the day to go smoothly since we were there to celebrate birthdays. Anyway, I'm glad it went well :).

I was honestly blown away by both the service and the amenities. I did the basic scrub package, which came out to around $100 total including the $50 entrance fee, and it was absolutely worth it. The entrance gives access to all the spa amenities including the charcoal sauna, red clay sauna, steam sauna, dry sauna, hot tub, and cold plunge tub. I came in around 10 AM without an appointment and they were still able to accommodate me for an 11:30 scrub, which I really appreciated. I highly recommend making an appointment though, especially if you're planning on getting a scrub or package service. I was able to experience all of the amenities, and for most of the saunas I actually had the rooms to myself, which made the experience feel even more relaxing and peaceful. Honestly, this would make a perfect solo date or even such a great girls' day activity. My scrub was done by Young, and she was amazing. She made me feel comfortable the entire time, maintained eye contact while speaking with me, was very personable, and provided such attentive service. You can tell she genuinely cares about making clients feel at ease. This was actually my second Korean spa experience in Honolulu, and honestly, the other one doesn't even compare to this level of cleanliness, service, and overall atmosphere. The only minor thing that made me slightly uncomfortable was during checkout while I was tipping -- another worker or possibly co-owner was standing directly behind me, and I wasn't sure if she was looking at the screen. It wasn't enough to ruin the experience, but it was the only moment that felt a little awkward. Other than that, my experience was amazing from start to finish. Definitely worth the visit, and I could easily see myself coming back monthly.

I've been to therapists in LA, NY, Thailand, Seoul, and Japan, but I always left feeling like they were just scratching the surface. Hawaii Natural Therapy recommended Ashley S. to me to address these issues and she is hands down the best I've ever worked with. She is a total professional with a "quiet strength" that I really appreciated and made me feel completely comfortable & at ease, which let me actually relax despite the good pain! What blew me away was her intuition. I feel like she instinctively knew exactly where to go and didn't just chase the symptoms or the transferred pain; but rather went straight for the root of the issue. She has the kind of strength that is rare to find, and uses it with so much control and technique. I did a 90-minute session with cupping, and a week later, my entire body feels significantly lighter. That decade-old knot is practically on its way out the door. I'll be seeing her regularly from now on every time I'm back home, and I'm already recommending her to everyone I know. If you need someone who truly understands the body and has the strength to back it up, go see Ashley. I cannot recommend her enough! 12/10 P.S. A huge shoutout to the front desk receptionist for being so quick and helpful with my initial inquiry. You guys nailed the recommendation--thank you for introducing me to Ashley!
