I attempted to book an appointment online, but I'm not that techie and I didn't know which therapist would be the best at this type of massage. When I called, Matthew was very patient and helpful. He helped me though the screening process and held my appointment with a credit card number. I received a confirmation by email and text and a reminder on the day of the appointment. The free parking on the Halekauwila Street side of the building was very much appreciated. I found the stairs up to the second floor and entered the comfy, clean environment. Matthew was very welcoming and introduced me to Akiko. She was efficient, polite, and knowledgeable. My session was relaxing and helped my circulation. I've spent the last 7+ years traveling the world for work, trying to find someone who could actually fix the painful chronic knot behind my shoulder blade. A Truly Wonderful Experience -- Highly Recommended! I want to share my experience at Hawaii Natural Therapy because I honestly feel that they deserve to be recognized for the wonderful care they provided me. First, I want to thank Matthew, who was so professional, kind, patient, and welcoming from the very first phone call. I requested a 90-minute body massage followed by a 90-minute foot and hand massage, and because I have osteoporosis, I needed someone who could accommodate my specific needs. Matthew listened carefully and made sure everything was arranged exactly as I requested. He even scheduled both massages back-to-back, which was extremely helpful because I don't drive. His kindness and attention to detail meant so much to me. Then I met Akemi, and I honestly cannot say enough wonderful things about her. I have had many massages throughout my life, and being over 60, I have experienced many different massage therapists. I constantly suffer from neck and shoulder tension because I type for about eight hours a day, along with lower-back discomfort from sitting for long periods. I had never had anyone successfully release the terrible knots in my neck and shoulders -- until Akemi. She listened to me, made me feel completely comfortable, and was incredibly skilled. After the massage, I could not believe how much better my neck and shoulders felt. For the first time, those stubborn knots and tension were gone. It was truly amazing. My foot and hand massage with Hind was just as special. I have a very high arch and have dealt with foot pain for a long time. Hind worked not only on my feet and hands but also my legs and arms, explaining how the muscles are connected. She even introduced me to cupping, which I had never experienced before. She was very knowledgeable and took the time to explain what she was doing. What impressed me most was that Hind didn't just give me a massage -- she actually showed me how to massage my own arm to help relieve the tension and discomfort I get from typing all day. I really appreciated that she took the time to teach me something I could continue doing for myself at home. What I love about Hawaii Natural Therapy is that they make it possible to learn about their therapists and their specialties before making an appointment. I did a lot of research before choosing them because I had experienced many disappointing massages in the past, and I am so grateful that I found them. This experience reminded me that the right therapist really can make all the difference. I specifically wanted reflexology that included some hand reflexology and massage. Kylie's hand and foot reflexology treatment was wonderful, and it's been hard for me to find it on O'ahu! My boyfriend and I came here on a Monday morning and got a 60 minute couples massage. We definitely needed one and was long overdue. I told the massuse that I had pain in my back and upper back muscles. She definitely got the kinks out but when it came to the hot towel, she put it on my back too hot and had to tell her it was too hot. My skin is sensitive now that I am older. As soon as we were done, we got served cold water, some grapes and a piece of chocolate at the front desk which was a nice added touch. I definitely liked that. The location was kinda hard to find. I found this place on Instagram and decided to check out their website and therapists before booking. I made an appointment with Ashley and I'm so glad I did. The place itself is really nice and relaxing and the front desk receptionist was super kind from the moment I walked in and out. Ashley was welcoming and asked what areas needed attention and how much pressure I wanted. I told her my whole left side and that I like it firm but deep in the middle. I had a 60 minute prenatal massage today at Hawaii Natural therapy. I went with Hind and she did not disappoint. She has a sturdy pressure, I'd say medium, which is what I like, although I am sure she can adjust as needed. The prenatal massage is unlike a regular massage because you're on your side the whole time, but it was still very relaxing. The 60 minutes felt a little too short and in retrospect, I would've opted for the 90. The ambience and staff are very nice, and there's easy parking. I went into the wrong lot but apparently thats ok because it's owned by the same owner. They also have a decent membership package which looks affordable for people who want to go regularly. read more

came in thinking i was doing a 90 minute deep tissue massage but ended up getting the weakest, almost infuriating massage ever. my therapist asked me if the pressure was ok, i asked if she could go much harder and she said she could try. the pressure didn't change so i honestly don't even know why she asked if she wasn't going to make any adjustments. she was an older japanese lady, who was really nice and respectful so i felt bad saying anything else because i wasn't even sure if she was physically capable exerting more force. the 90 minutes slowly passed and i ended up telling the front desk lady about my experience. she said that we booked the regular massage and not the deep tissue. when we first came in, she didn't mention that nor did my therapist. i would've happily paid the extra $15 had they said anything. i was quite disappointed in my experience and service, i wouldn't be coming back. read more

Treatment rooms were a little cool at times but I also don't want my massage therapist keeling over from it being too warm. A warming or heated table pad would be nice since the rooms are cool. Still searching for that right place to help with my ankle situation and thought since they offer cupping here I'd like to give it a try, Not wanting to call since I had questions I really wanted to see the location and place as well for the vibe. As I walk in I'm greeted and was asked if I had a appointment which I explained I didn't but was curious of their services. Asked about cupping I couldn't understand her as she was talking so fast all I heard was if I wanted a 60 or 90 minute...?!? OH apparently this is a massage place WITH an option to add on services such as cupping. You fill out a form which is laminated using a sharpie for your information as well as pressure level for the massage and reason for your visit. Omg so I decided to try the 60 and why not, okay came back since they had a same day available. I'll keep it short got my massage and it was delightfully relaxing and light (I checked level 4 of 5) felt like a 2 but whatever my appointment was 11:45 by the time I was ready it was 10 minutes passed as there is a clock in the room but massage ended promptly at 12:45 and I was set to go...my cupping?! Okay well how my session was listed on the computer apparently she did wrong and the therapist didn't see it and kept on yelling and saying how she did it was wrong and he didn't see it and was visually upset. Kept apologizing and saying it was her fault and asked he had some time and it won't take long (super uncomfortable by then) went back and did it THE ABSOLUTE WORSE EXPERICE EVER!! It was rushed he kept on talking and it was done in just minutes and the silicone suction they used barely stuck as it kept on falling off and it was basically rubber rubbing all over your skin. They do take your credit card incase you cancel or not show in 24hrs they ask you about tip and how much you'd like to add on which I despise as well as it's not your business, I added tip and was told I'm set to go...no total told no receipt I had no idea what I was being charged....what the heck! On a basis this is a massage therapy great massage to relax not for pain relief and by not specifying charges or receipt is bad business and before I could tell them my 10% off for my Yelp check in they said that my card has already been charged and can't do it...I felt like a fool that been had and walked away with much more pain. Btw that lovely receptionist...it is not your fault that therapist was horrible and to yell and rant like that is embarrassing! He needs a session himself to calm the heck down and make sure to read her notes so you don't rush like you do with everything. read more

I have been going here monthly since September 2022 and can't imagine going anywhere else. My husband and I make the drive from Makakilo to town because this place is truly wonderful. We always look forward to being greeted by John or Bella at the front desk and being pampered by the massage therapists. I booked a same day massage. A few hours before the massage, I got a call canceling the appointment. Apparently the therapist wasn't supposed to be on the schedule. I get it, sometimes stuff happens. I asked for a refund. The staff member said that they could reschedule me, but I told them that I wanted a refund since they canceled. She said she would talk to a manager. They called me back and said that I would be refunded. I checked my account four days later. No refund initiated. I called back. The person I spoke to said that I had a credit to use at their establishment. I told her that I was told that my credit card would be refunded. She spoke to a manager and said they would refund my account. It's been 11 days and still no refund initiated. Based on these interactions, I don't recommend this business. read more
