I booked this appointment online and it was definitely a last minute booking... 45 min notice. Once I booked online I called just to make sure they saw the reservation and they did confirming all was good. The low rating definitely goes to the massage. I will also preface to say that I tipped her well as I appreciate the work any massage person does (tipped her $30 cash) regardless if it's not to my expectation, I tip generously a lot more when it's great. So, the massage was merely a slather of oil and rubbing it in. There were so many times throughout this massage (even in the beginning otherwise I would have excused it to being tired) where she would be "massaging" and then it just fades to like just being touched. It reminds like a boyfriend or my kids massaging while watching TV and they just doze off. When I say slather with oil, I truly mean it. Now, I had to stop her several times when she kept pinching (definitely not massaging!!) my under the arm waddles (don't know what else to call it) and pretty sure I will find some bruising pop up. It's quite sensitive there, she did this with my inner thighs as well. There were numerous times she would just be on repeat doing the same movement on one part of my back non-stop, there was no pressure no nothing - just lathering with oil and just did the same stroke. Rather correct her more (I did already several times when she was pinching) I sucked up this massage as just being touched versus massaged, and tried to merely enjoy it. I booked this place for my parents initially for their anniversary. They said it was awesome so I decided to try it for ourselves for our anniversary. We did the 90 minute couples massage and I can say this was the best massage I've ever received. We had Abby and Ella and they were great. I had Abby, she was very accommodating and would keep checking in on the pressure and such. There would be places where I get very ticklish and she would pick up on them very quickly and would stop immediately and move on to the next part. My husband had Ella and he pretty much said the same exact thing. I was hoping for a relaxing Swedish massage but left feeling unsatisfied. The massage felt rushed and sloppy. There was no repetition in the massage but rather scattered techniques. We had a couple's massage and it was distracting whenever the masseuses would talk to each other and ask us constantly every few minutes if the pressure was ok. I would also suggest for the masseuse to wear more appropriate attire rather than a skirt and a short top that she constantly had to keep adjusting. Lily was very kind & text messaged me during the day what details on the location and to confirm my appointment. Annie was my masseuse. She's very petite woman, but is very strong. After seeing high ratings here, my wife and I decided to come here instead of the other one we use, to give it a try. The building location is a bunch of massage businesses, so you will have to walk around a little to find exactly where this place is. The communication barrier should have been the sign I should have turned away and went back to my original place I usually go to as it was mere impossible for them to really understand any English. I ordered a two hour hot stone massage for myself and a 2 hour deep tissue for my wife. My wife had to constantly try and communicate that it was too hard but they never really listened to her and she said it was the most uncomfortable massage she has ever had where she was extremely sore for about 3 days after. My hot stone massage was them placing a hot stone in each one of my hands and leaving them there for about 15 minutes. That was the "hot stone" experience. This place has a complete lack of any knowledge or any experience with massages and shouldn't even be operational or the very least definitely not worth a penny of your money or a minute of your time. I left a cash tip in the room and when we went to pay the front lady was trying to add a tip to the credit card charge which I kept telling her no I left cash in the room. By the time she kinda understood the two massage therapist ran quickly back to the room and disappeared. The front lady was kinda mad I didn't add a tip to the credit card so she said she had to add a $20 charge fee for using the credit card. I don't like to give places one star reviews unless they are worst than a zero star. This is one of those places. Don't waste your time or money here. The best massage in the area. Abby is amazing and very skilled. I am not shy and appreciate a full body massage. She was extremely professional, but she did not miss one muscle on my body. She understands the musculature, using pressure to work out the tension, and then switched to smooth and elegant movements that provided complete relaxation. I really like the oil they use that just glides over the body. I hurt my back two years ago and have been going to other establishments at least once a week. I've been to over 30 other places on the Island and this place is the best. So good that I had to buy a gift certificate for a friend to come and try. I've visited some other places in the area where the ladies just can't massage, you know how that ends up... I've updated my review as I've been back for more relaxation. My body hasn't felt this good in years. I met Lily the owner who is sweet, kind and has very good energy. After reading other reviews; if Abby is not available, I want Lily. I may even splurge on a 4 hand massage by the two. Although I'm not sure if she still massages... After you book your appointment, you will receive a text with directions to the spa and parking. Very convenient and easy. The cost of parking is $2 for the 60 minute massage and $3 for the 90. The spa is clean and I believe was recently open hence the small number of reviews. Making an appointment was easy. The communication via text is perfect. No language barrier whatsoever which is important for English speakers visiting an Asian Massage. From what I could see, the therapists are all women, which is good for me. I personally don't like massages from men. I would call and check if you do. They did a wonderful job with our body massage, foot scrub, foot reflexology, scalp massage and hot stone work. They asked us how hard/soft we wanted things and we're always checking in with us to make sure that we were comfortable and receiving the treatment we desired. This is another review on Lily Spa. The massage therapists here are professional and friendly. I highly recommend the deep tissue massage. If you like stronger pressure that is the way to go. If your looking for a more relaxed session, I would opt for the oil. There is nothing better then getting a nice massage after a long hard day at work. Lily Spa is an excellent location for deep tissue massage. I've actually been seeing Lily for over 5 years now. She worked at another spa, and was one of the few massage therapists who actually had the strength to work out the knots and kinks in my shoulders and lower back. She's quite talented, and has an excellent understanding of pressure points, ligaments, and their connection. Now she's opened her own location, and you can see the attention to detail immediately as you enter the spa: tasteful decoration, comfortable seating and front desk location, monogramed sheets, and an overall clean and pleasant environment. One thing about owning your own business, is there's just not enough of you to go around, and so Lily's found a couple of very capable therapists to work with her, Coco especially is extremely skilled with an Incredible shiatsu style that is unequaled in all of the massage experience that I've had. I am a Contractor, so I'm always up and down ladders, and experience the tightness and soreness that comes from very physical work. I always feel refreshed and rejuvenated even after a very long couple of days of work. That's the sign of a great massage! Abby is very strong and gives a terrific massage as well. Really, all of the therapists here have done an excellent job, whether it's a deep tissue body massage or a foot massage. Lastly, one thing that sets Lily Spa apart from other spas, is the very cheerful and positive atmosphere, which is so different from other locations that are just trying to get you in and get you out, and maximize the money they can get from you. Lily always seems to have a big smile and is very cheerful. Parking is at the Century Center building up on the second floor and is $2 standard flat rate. Abby was my masseuse and was very skilled as a masseuse. I had been wanting a massage for a long time and finally decided I should get one. I had many knots and kinks and boy did she work them out. I opted for a 90 minute massage since I probably knew a 60 minute one would not be long enough. Abby is very strong and if you need someone skilled and like a good massage, she worked hard to get my knots out. Lily was very sweet and was glad I was able to get an appt right away. Great experience for my wife and I on our last day in Oahu for a family vacation. We got a couples massage with hot stones and it was spectacular. We both had a great massage. The masseuses were Isla and Abby. The building that has this massage business also has 5 other massage parlors. Some look more fancy and some more sketchy. This one looks unassuming and you will be surprised at how good the massage is. I wasn't sure if we would like it after walking by some of the competition. However, this was one of the best hour massages I have had and it is comparing to Thai massages in Thailand and other massage places in the mainland. My 90 minute Swedish massage was one of the best I've ever had. I've only ever been to Massage Envy in California, but this massage from Mila was much more thorough than theirs. It was also cheaper, somehow, at $90 for 90 minutes?! I tipped $30 because it felt like a great deal. I could see myself coming here again for a cheaper $60 massage before I head home. Some notes about this place: 1. Cash only. There's an ATM outside. 2. The room was a little hot, but the fan kept me comfortable. 3. Mila was extremely attentive to my specific aches and pains, always asking if the pressure was too hard or if I needed anything to be different. 4. The massage covered more of the body than some might be comfortable with. Not *all* of my body, but... at least 99.5% of it. Also, the bed sheet was paper thin and probably didn't cover certain parts of my body the whole time. I personally wasn't concerned with which parts of me were seen or touched by accident, but you should definitely speak up early if you're the least bit shy. read more

I can't say enough about Lily Spa! My boyfriend and I travelled to Hawaii for the first time and while there celebrated his birthday. I knew before we arrived that I wanted to treat him to a spa day but it was so hard to find everything I wanted in a reasonable price...until I found Lily Spa. I spoke to the owner prior to arriving and asked if she would be willing to decorate the room for his birthday and she gladly said yes. We arrived and they met us in the parking lot to walk us inside. We felt welcomed and taken care of from that moment until leaving. We had a 90 min full body massage, 30 min body scrub (followed by a shower) and finished with an hour foot massage. The ladies working n us were both so nice! We are both larger people and we never felt judged, uncomfortable or like an inconvenience. They constantly checked in to make sure the pressure was ok and it was perfect! I wish I had time to go back again before I returned home, but the service was so good I would go back over an over. Honestly it's better than any massage i have received on the mainland. I carry a lot of knots in my neck and shoulders and typically I leave a massage sore for a few days I didn't have any soreness when leaving.
