My massage therapist was Lucky, and she was strong. I have lots of tightness and knots. She really gave it the right therapy to loosen up. I came here after my flight from the mainland. If you local or a tourist and have pain, this Thai massage is amazing. I've been having all types of massages for decades but Lucky is one of the best. read more

My husband and I came in for a Thai Combo massage. I was so cold and asked them to turn down the air conditioner. They didn't but did give me an extra blanket. I thought most of my massage could have been done by an amateur. My husband's massage was good. Unfortunately, we foolishly got 3 more massages for my daughters the next day. Two of them had good experiences as they were in a double room. But my daughter who had a single room said the therapist kept stopping to text. Not a good experience. We will not be back. read more

Love this place so much. Been 5 time, also took my lady who is a known complainer about her masseuses never going hard enough, she did not have that problem here. Highly recommend if you're about that deep tissue life! read more

About two months ago my low back was locked up, I had walked out of the Chiro in the same location Kokohead marina feeling no relief. I spotted Upper Thai, and remember my family trip to Thailand, and how beneficial the massage technique was. I was a walk in and luckily they had an availability. Iris was available and she put me through the entire program 90 min, which I highly recommend, and I will tell you after leaving, I was a new person, walking and feeling like I was going to be ok. I would Highly recommend this place. Fast forward to today, I hurt my back playing with my grand kids and decided to go to the VA, besides it corelated with my annual checkup, they could only offer a surgery consult, pain medication and PT, not a fan of pharma. I have an old injury to my low back from my tour of duty in the Marine Corps. Due to long waiting periods at the VA and the debilitating nature of my injury, I remembered Upper Thai, so I called in and was able to get an appointment. This time with Noi, I was in no position to be picky as I was in a lot of pain. Noi went to work on me, She is pleasant and professional, and as the time passed, I became aware the 90 min time slot was coming to an end, yet I felt like she knew where the pain was coming from and was making good progress, so I asked her to extend the time, and she allowed it. Words are not enough to describe how much better I feel, and my pain has dramatically been reduced, so I scheduled a follow up, her recommendation was three days. I booked it on the spot and am so grateful for her healing hands and knowledge. Noi is the owner, and defiantly knows the body, and how it functions. I am so encouraged and confident I am on the path to healing. If you have tried Thai massage and are familiar with it, you will be pleased, if your not, you will wonder, where has this been all my life. I am going to schedule a once a month just to keep me moving well. To your health. read more

Ohhhh this sweet gem in Hawaii Kai. Where do I begin? If you haven't had a Thai massage before... then it's hard to even describe the way your body will feel afterwards. It's a combo of stretching, movements, and massage that leaves you feeling fantastic afterwards. I am soooo freaking excited that this place is legit 5 mins from my home. I had a rough day at work and needed something to help both my body and mind relax. I called and they had an appointment available.. 30 mins later I was on that table forgetting about my crazy day. It's total body... hands feet, face, head, back, chest legs... everything will be left feeling better. My massage therapist was so kind, kept checking in with me on pressure and reminding me to relax and enjoy. :) Tip: they have gift certificates! I know what I'm getting my parents for Christmas! I def would recommend even if you aren't in HK.. make the drive. You won't regret it. read more

My brother-in-law recommended this place and it was close by, so I booked an appointment. Normally I don't like Thai massages but this one was amazing! Iris was the massage therapist and she worked out all of my knots! read more

Nice people, but disappointed repeat customer... on 7/25/2022, I called and made appointment for 90 minute Scrub and Massage ( which is advertised as one of their services- of which I received there 3 times before). I arrived as scheduled, and as my therapist started a few minutes into ( something did not seem right...as previously my therapist has done my scrub first here). I then reminded her that I was to receive a 90 minute scrub/ massage... to which she told me "No" the lady who set the appointment did not tell her scrub and she has appointment right afterwards so can not do! First of all scrubs do not make appointments longer, and after completion of my massage I could clearly see there was no appointment (totally Untrueful to me). I still gave her a 30% tip...Out of professional respect, I called back next day to inquire about what happen, and lady that answered phone and spoke to me stated "ohhh" and they are not doing scrub/ massage combos any longer! I kindly suggested that if this is the case they should inform their customers when making appointments/ not after they arrive. Also, they should change their signs and websites advertising body scrubs. Sadly for me, feeling uncomfortable with them and that they were the only place in Koko Marina area that advertised scrub/ combo massage. Best wishes to this small business company continued success, while improving customer service, as this was one of my reasons for going there! Mahalo read more

I would not recommend upper thai massage especially now that I know season thai massage is down the street. When I got a massage here it smelled very strongly like food inside, they left the widows over looking the parking lot wide open before and during the massage, it was very noisy (outside and inside- people chatting), not very clean inside, and my massage tickled the whole time to the point where I was literally LOLing and asking for harder pressure to stop the tickle. I personally will not be back. read more

Massage here is extraordinary. Prices very reasonable also. If you're visiting Oahu you have to check it! read more

Scrub and massage combo was such a disappointment. 3 of us and all had different and disappointing experiences. We were all FREEZING and the therapists did not use hardly any pressure or typical Thai massage technique. Basically we each paid $150 to be slathered with a sugar scrub, hosed down and then encased in cold body oil. read more

I had a combo Thai massage with Noi, and it was the best massage I've had (including a massage in Thailand itself!). She did a wonderful job focusing on my legs and feet, like I requested, while still spending enough time on all my other body parts so I could feel fully refreshed. By the end, I didn't feel like there was anything missing! She did my full body face down AND my full body face up. Noi is surprisingly strong and was able to massage all my sore parts extremely well. The ambience was perfect, great temperature, nice music not too loud, and the oils and lotion smelled like a Hawaii oasis (coconut) without being overbearing or giving me a headache. Very accommodating of a walk-in and offered a military discount. Wish I could come back again!! Thanks so much, Noi. Mahalo! read more

Yesterday was my birthday and I wanted to treat myself to a massage, so I called Upper Thai to see if they do prenatal massages/ accommodate pregnancy and to see if they had any times available. A lady answered the phone and responded with a "no, we don't do that. No prenatal, no sorry" while sounding a little confused. I said "oh my mistake" and hung up. I looked back on their billboard and it clearly says pregnancy massage. Maybe she was new and didn't know or maybe their signs need some updating read more

This was terrible. It was recommended to me by a friend. I get regular massages and never have problems. I like medium to hard pressure. This was like torture the whole time. The therapist did something and now my neck and shoulders are totally spazzing out like constant muscle contractions and it hurts to move. read more

I've always seen the banner when I'm running to get food, but never booked an appointment until today. Omg why did I wait this long to come in?! I've been feeling so much tension in my shoulders and needed some immediately relief. I came to see Noi and so glad I did. It was the best Thai massage and exactly what I needed. Especially after the year we've all had... I had so many knots that it hurt, but I feel like a million bucks now. Thank you so much Noi for the amazing massage. It was one of the best I've ever had. I highly recommend Upper Thai Massage for anyone wanting a professional, highly effective and personal massage experience. Noi and her staff are all very capable trained therapists who truly know what they are doing when it comes to therapeutic massage. I have been going to this spa here for many years now and without a doubt, it is the best massage spa experience I have had here on Oahu, all at a very reasonable price ! The environment is clean, quiet, and welcoming the moment you walk through the door. I always feel like I get a free trip to Thailand when I am there ! Noi and her staff are always there at the door to welcome you with a smile and make you relax within minutes of being there. If you are looking for a way to treat yourself or a friend to an hour of pure relaxation, run (dont walk !) to Upper Thai Massage. AMAZING massage! My sister and I wanted had a couple hours to kill and came across this massage spa. Staff were incredibly friendly and greeted us right away. If you are looking for a truly healing and wonderful massage, you have found the right place! I have been coming here for the past few months and have never left dissapointed. All the therapists here are wonderful but if you are truly looking for a master in massage, look no further ! I just finished a session today with Noi after suffering with a serious frozen shoulder issue for months. Within just an hour, she was able to work and manipulate my muscles and released an amazing amount of tension that had been stored in my body for quite some time now. I now will affectionately call her "Dr Noi" as she truly is a magnificent healer. I have traveled all over the world and have received some amazing massages, including many from Noi's home country of Thailand. And I can honestly say without hesitation Noi is truly one of the best therapists I have ever come across. She knows her stuff and does it all with a gentle and playful smile. Khop Khun Mak Ka Noi ! And to Nam and Pui, much thanks as well ! You are all wonderful massage therapists and our community is so fortunate to have you all here doing such good work. See you soon ! read more

Had another great session with Am the other day. Explained my mid to lower back was in pain and legs were tight from working out. She gave my body a dry rub down to first identify the problem areas. Then began the deep tissue work over a sheet. Started off by working on my lower back with some deep pressure thumb and forearm work along the spine and then got up on the table to use her knees and shins to add even more pressure. Next was the oil rubdown, still with some strong pressure. I just love it when she works my glutes and quads. And at times, she would just hold down the pressure on those trouble spots, to the point you can actually feel the knot melt away right under her fingers. Pretty amazing... Next came the stretching, while on my stomach she lifted one leg at a time trying to make it point to the sky. Then while on my back she crossed one leg over the other, letting the foot rest along side the outside of the other legs knee. Then she began rocking that bent leg, while holding down my shoulder flat to the table, trying to make that raised knee touch the opposite side of the table. Oh you should hear all the pops going on and then repeated on the other side. Along with the stretching she would also use her shins along my thighs and legs to drive a deeper painfully pleasurable pressure as well. Lastly with one leg crossed over the other in a figure four position, she then lifted my straight leg up into the sky, to the point I was resting on my shoulder blades, like hanging up a hind quarter of beef, then she pushed my extended leg towards my head. OMG and then repeated on the other side. Oh so good. Feeling so relaxed, I topped it off at the nearby Roy's with a few cocktails, while enjoying the beautiful sunset. Just an amazing day. Priceless... Thank you Am. read more

100% excellent. aching from new asanas in my yoga practice, i meandered in on new year's eve a bit before noon. i waited for Noi to finish her client and she said she could give me the massage on the spot! and it wound up being one of the sweetest, most healing, and most effective 60-minutes i've ever had. and i get massages 2-4x monthly. Noi has really great intuition. i didn't guide her with words or gestures, and she went right to the part of my spine that is most complex (cervical). highly recommend Noi. she is my go-to on the island of oahu. not your average massage. fabulous. read more

My husband and I enjoyed the hot stone massage. The tension in my neck and shoulders are now gone. Thank you for the relaxing experience!

Wow, great massage, straight to the point! I got a couples massage with my boyfriend for our anniversary and we got a Thai massage. It was top 2 best massage I've ever had and I've never had a Thai massage before. I usually do deep tissue since i like the intensity but the Thai massage was very therapeutic, I felt like I was at the chiropractor! Not only did it feel great, but it felt like it fixed my back. Would come back! read more

All I could think while I was getting massages was "this is definitely the best massage I've ever had!" My husband and I both got the 90 minute massage. Wow! I had tried for two days to get an appt with another massage business in Hawaii Kai, but no openings. Fortunately I had gotten a flyer announcing this new business in Koko Marina, called and got right in. I can say it is the best massage I've every gotten! (I've never been to Thailand, so maybe this is the normal 60-minute massage there, and if so, I see why people rant and rave about Thai massages!) Jenny (Bui) worked non-stop on this aging body of mine, head to toe, climbing on the table, she put her all into it. She was great! The décor is beautiful and calming from when you enter. Prices are very reasonable and if you use the flyer you get a discount! Ask for Jenny! read more
