This is our go to massage place. If you haven't tried this place what are you waiting for??? I have never had a bad massage in all the times we came here. We do the 1 hour massage and it's just perfect! There is also a kamaaina discount! read more

I don't understand how this place has great reviews. I literally walked out on their massage. Just like a previous review which stated that the therapist kept hitting his spine so did my therapist to me. It was scary the moves she was performing. I never tell any parlors my credentials but I have been a healer for 30 years with some of those years teaching. Never would I teach, recommend, advise how this lady was trying to adjust my spine. It was insane!! She had no connection to the body. Matter of fact as I was laying there trying to tolerate it for the short amount of time that I could my mind was drifting to the thought that she was untrained. The longer I played there my mind was telling me to get up and off the bed before she injures me. Maybe not physically but mentally & spiritually. I'm such a nice guy I ended up giving her a $5 tip for her time and said, "I sorry here for trying." I mean what do I expect from a mall massage. I just wanted to kill time. But it looks like tone almost killed me. read more

Update on my Popoki Massage today had a 1pm appointment and I always go to Junko. If you're looking for a good massage request Junko she will not disappoint. I always request for deep tissue and she really works on the knots and the tightness I've been going to her almost a year now and so far it's better than all the other massage places I been to. Prices are very comparable to most places and if you're a 5star member you'll get discount promotions. I had a text for $59 for 60mins regular price is $79 for an hour Support local Happy New Years read more

I do not recommend this place. It is a group of a few beds with only thin bedsheets in between each and no walls. So you ca hear everything even the girl in the cash register who is also only on the other side of the sheet. When got naked the masseuse stayed in the room with me and stared with me disrobe and she didn't even try to look away or step out. That's highly inappropriate. She was a weird lady with an annoying voice. When I got dressed at the end she also made sure to bust in my room with a cup of water and be there while I'm naked getting dressed. They also make you pay before you start which is highly stingy and probably why they act gross after. My massage also gave me a huge headache after. I had to go home and take Advil read more

Don't come here! Quality is subpar and upselling tactic is a bit shady. They have their listed price, which is semi reasonable, but the receptionist/owner then proceeds to hard sell you on adding $10 for extra strength and deep tissue. I can understand if it's extra for a deep tissue or shiatsu vs regular massage but when the owner said it was for extra strength that caught me by surprise. Didn't think of that being too fair as it's relative. Either way, she was a big aggressive so I opted for the deep tissue/extra strength. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being strong, it was a 2. I felt like I was getting lotion rubbed on me.... Upon politely asking her to increase strength, she said that's the strongest and that my body is not meant for a massage (?!?) The masseuse also kept hitting my spine with her elbows, which really caused me pain during and post. Not cool. They advertised themselves as trained Japanese masseuses but as someone that gets regular massages, please take it from me, I can promise you that's not the case! Check out the dozens of other spots in town or in Waikiki. A blind dart throw will land you somewhere with higher quality and skill! read more

My new fave place for a massage! I've had different massage therapists each time and all have been excellent. There are a bunch of curtains separating the treatment spaces and it's not a quiet spa setting, but it's peaceful and clean. They offer kamaaina rates too. I'll be back here, it's a convenient location and lots of parking at Ala Moana. read more

Would go back in a heartbeat. Very relaxing, strong masseusees, great vibe, great value for price.

They are always accommodating me. Best service. Today will be three days in a row, 90 min. Sessions with Yu. Very healing experience. I always do three days of 90 min sessions every time I visit Oahu. Yu is special!! Please request her. read more

Love this place, I've been seeing Minako. Many old injuries catching up with me but she really can get rid of all of the tightness. No fancy stuff I dont need but the best straightforward deep massages I've ever had. Very convenient location in AlaMoana Center downstairs next to Champs. The people that work there are so very friendly and pleasant. read more

Popoki Massage/TK World - Popoki (Cat) Massage. The best!! - Massage Near Me - Honolulu, Hawaii

I bought a massager. I was hesitant at first, but could not resist the half price offer deal. Then found out there is a scratch. Went back to have an exchange. The lady patiently opened every single one and pretty much all with a small scratch. Because it is so tight in the box that the power cord must press too hard on the product. I picked one that has less scratch. When I returned home. I found out the box is broken. So I went back again to exchange the box. On the night before the exchange, I used the massager once. The next morning, my back was hurt out of wood. I just bent down to put clothes away, then just hurt my lower back. I was not sure if I just exchange the box or just exchange the whole thing. I decided to just exchange the box. When I went to store, I told the lady (not the same lady that sold me the massager) I wanted to exchange the box. By her look, she seems not happy about it. So she called the boss. The boss told me I have already exchanged for so many times. I told him I only went once. I also told him his products are not so good. He said no more exchanges and everything is final. I told him it does not say on the receipt nor that they told me when I bought it. Because of his attitude, I told him I wanted to return the whole thing. I told him I just used the machine the night before. He did not want to give me the refund. I told him it hurt my back. Then he said I changed the subject. Sounds like I made it up. I told the lady if they don't give me the refund, I will call the cops. After discussion with her boss, they said to give me the refund. Then the lady said she could not find the transaction on that cash register, it was on the other one. She said she will give me the refund in one to two days, but never came. I disputed the charge with my credit card company. Finally got the refund. Lesson learned, always ask for the return policy before you buy. One more thing, I saw it was only $10 off in the store. They are totally liars. read more

Typical korean massage parlor. I've been several times now. Kamaaina price is about $1/minute so worth trying. All four of the ladies I've had were good so far. Environment isn't fancy and is about as plain as you can get, but price is decent. read more

Junko did an excellent job with my deep tissue massage...felt great afterwards, will definitely go again!!!

No frills massage. The inside looks small kine sketchy because it's just curtains separating you from your neighbors and you can basically hear anyone talking, the phone ringing, etc but if you can get over that, the massages are QUALITY and you cannot beat the price. Looking forward to making this my new go-to when I'm not looking for all the bells and whistles. read more

Clean, friendly welcoming staff and great masseuses. I have my favorite and I like her so much that I went back twice to see her during my two week vacation. Definitely recommend this place. read more

They always send me awesome FiveStar rewards as a customer to surrounding businesses and I thought today is the day that Ill finally try them out! To my disappointment the doors were locked with no hours of operation posted on the store front. Checked Yelp and their hours say there supposed to be open at 12:30 PM on a Monday. Not sure whats going on but it sure is a missed opportunity. read more

They used to be good before but now their masseuse just do the bare minimum pressure for regular massage. I would say the quality of sevice had gone down tremendously. read more

Don't let the mall location dissuade you from entering the business. Very nice Japanese staff will greet you and show you to your curtained area. They provide a nice local discount and participate in the 5-star loyalty program too. I've visited a half dozen times and have never been disappointed. They provide any level of pressure that you need - for me, I need a light to medium pressure. Yes it may seem odd that you are only a hanging curtain away from the patron next to you, but I've never felt like my privacy was endangered. They have an option for a private room and also have a nice and clean bathroom for you to use before/after service. Great hours, but I would recommend an appointment since they also accept walk-in guests. read more

Everytime, I book a massage here. They're very nice and polite. When I finish my massage. I always leave very happy.

I walked past this business while shopping in the mall, and just having to go in. I'm certainly glad I did, as all the staff was very professional and I had a really good shiatsu massage by Akimi. I definitely recommend her, and this massage establishments in general, and I will be back next time I'm in the area. read more

They are fantastic! They focused on the areas I requested and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. I went twice during my trip and highly recommend Mitsuko! read more

Convenient location in Ala Moana shopping center, next to GNC store & Gomatei, lower level makai side. It's tiny inside, but everyone there is so friendly & they have pretty reasonable prices for being in a major mall. But the best thing is the massage! This is my 1st time there, and I did 90 mins. I asked for a deep tissue massage & for a therapist who was good and strong. Mitsuko delivered!! I feel so much better. She was wonderful! I plan to go back again and ask for Mitsuko. This time I might buy the package deal, five 1 hour massages for $280.00. read more

This is a small massage place located at Ala Moana Center. I received a gift certificate for a 1 hour massage. The most frustrating thing about this place is knowing where it is located in Ala Moana. It is located in a part of the mall that I don't frequent. I tried calling several times right before my appointment to ask where they were located but no one picked up the phone. When I read other yelp reviews it said it was located next to the lady footlocker. Well, there is no lady footlocker as that store has closed. Others said it was located next to the abc store, but there was no abc store by this location. I literally think I walked the whole mall finding this place! I finally went to the foot locker store to ask where their lady footlocker used to be located. They told me first floor by the food court. Still not very clear, I walked to the first floor and made a left after the food court and finally found it! It's located as if you were walking toward Macys on the first floor next to Goma tei and pass game stop. When I finally arrived the woman at the front was calling me back. I said I couldn't find it, she said ok and asked me to sit down. They have little heated massagers attached to their chairs. They also have two other massage chairs you can use as you wait. I was brought inside a small space. There are no rooms, you are literally separated by curtains. This is a day spa, so you change out of your clothes, place them in a basket and then lay under the sheets, no lockers, or robes. My masseuse was a nice lady. I told her I had pain and tension in my shoulders. She did a good job of working them. I really enjoyed the actual massage. My only complaint would be to lessen the time she spend rubbing and stretching me over the sheets before she started the actual massage. She used some Lomi lomi massage techniques mixed with some stretching. I really enjoyed it. They play nice spa music but it is a little loud, I think to try and mask the loud tv I heard. You can hear people coming in and checking in the front. Especially where I was located, I was right behind the front desk. You can basically hear everything. For an hour massage that was good, and only $68 I would go back. They also offer local discount and have a stamp card. If you are looking for pure relaxation, this is not the place for you! If you are looking for an inexpensive decent massage then yes. read more

First time customer in this business and experience was great. 30 minutes massage was very relaxing. Very polite customer service and they're all very nice too. They also do Kamaiana Discount as long as you show your state ID. The massage was mild pressure and very relaxing feeling after. I would definitely coming back here since I work in the mall and just around the corner where I work. Kaori San you're the best. I am very relaxed. Thank you so much. read more

Probably the best massage in Town and they offer kama'aina pricing, too! And while most massage reviews recommend a particular staff member, I have received great massages from at least five different members of their team! read more

I was a little ambivalent about my massage here, but the results were pretty good. My appointment was late, but as I was the last Appointment for the day, I understand small delays early in the day can really add up. The good thing is there have very advanced massage chairs that are pretty comfortable. As a warning the massage chairs have a really aggressive foot massager and the rollers for the soles of my feet were actually kind of painful! During the massage, the massage therapist did let me know that she specializes in shiatsu mixed with lomilomi and Swedish and if that was okay. I thought that was fine because it would be a mix, but actually the massage was primarily shiatsu! It wasn't super relaxing like an exclusively lomilomi or Swedish massage and so when I left I felt slightly disappointed. However the primary reason I went to the massage therapist was because a very stiff shoulders and after Getting home and getting some rest I woke up with relaxed shoulders! My shoulders felt shot for several days so in reality I guess that shiatsu really works. As a note, the shiatsu pressure can actually really hurt during the session but I actually like really firm massages so it didn't bother me much. If you're sensitive I don't know if this would be for you. In the end, it was a great massage for my painful shoulder muscles, but not a super relaxing one. Pretty sure if you let her know that you just want a Lomilomi or Swedish massage though she can accommodate you. read more

Boyfriend has been saying he's been wanting a massage, so as we were in the mall, we passed by this place and gave it a shot. The store is not too big as the stalls are separated by curtains (more like thin drapes/bed liners) so we can hear anything that goes in the store. I got Minako, she was such a sweetheart. I'd say the overall experience was great, but I was hoping for more rough of a massage as her hands were so gentle and soft. I can't speak for everyone, but each masseuse that I saw (including the ones that served us) were all so tiny and dainty! The massage overall was solid, but just wished they were able to put a little more pressure. Still would recommend as it's a solid bang for your buck. Great perk- while you wait, you can sit in a massage chair. read more

I purchased a chair from this business and have had more problems than anyone could imagine. Hernan avoided my calls and text messages after learning my chair had problems 3 months after purchasing. This chair was on sale for $5000.00. When I asked for a refund they said they could not do that because I purchased a sale item. It was a sale item that was not working properly for the beginning! This is a terrible company! They lack integrity, and should not be in business. If I could give them 0 stars I would. read more

BEST MASSAGE OF MY LIFEEEEE and I get massages all the time. Wish I lived here so I could go every day

You get what you pay for. As inexpensive as the prices are for a massage, you can't complain. Given that the massage parlor is facing the busy parking structure of Ala Moana shipping center and you hear cars and chatter from outside, you can simply overlook that (if you don't mind). But massage therapists are decently great. They ask me what my preference of massage is and what areas need to be focused on. At the end of the massage, they give you water and time to sit. Upon my first visit, they will give you a stamp card. So make use of that if you plan to come here often. Parking is definitely not a problem and they take credit cards. If you're a little early for your massage, they have you sit in the massage chair to relax while waiting for the therapists. I don't recommend doing walk-ins, as they will have you wait for 30-40 min or longer (given the amount of therapists available). Better to call in advance for a reservation/booking. The entire place is a curtain closed space. No rooms at all. Not enough space to move around but just enough to change in and out of your clothes. read more

Everyone who works here is really nice. I think the time spent is definitely worth the price. I would definitely recommend it.

Honestly.... Wasn't expecting it but it was the BEST massage I've ever had. Don't let the mall location scare you off. Mitsuko works her magic and you leave feeling so refreshed. I want to go back again already. read more

This place is my favorite emergency massage salon. haha It becase my work schedule is different every week. Even though I'm very exhausted, and I really need to take a massage, I cannot make an appointment in advance sometimes. But this place open every day! What a hero salon! The massagers skills and their services are absolutely great!

Horrible experience. Massage was late, they tried to make us purchase massage and wouldn't allow Groupon until second massage, after asking for 15 minutes they finally took Groupon. I received a gift card so thought I would try it out. I had Moching (might have spelled it wrong) but she was awesome! I told her I like hard massages and concentrate on the neck/back area and she did a great job. This place is very casual inside. Just a few sheets separating you from the next person. If your looking for something fancy this is not for you. But, if your looking for a great massage at a good price this place is perfect. I would go back. read more

If you are a first timer, it's okay. But if you are looking for a great massage, this is NOT the place. We paid $90 for a 90-minute per person (less local rate) and the service is mediocre. We informed that we are hard/intense but we got masseuse with tiny hands. We left the place with back pain and what a waste of money. Very disappointed. Expect that they will ask for tip but not asking how was their service. Sad day and we drove from North Shore to Popoki Ala Moana without getting what we want plus double the back pain! #neveragain read more

Great head to toe massage by Junko. She made sure to ask if I wanted to focus on specific areas and checked with me periodically if the pressure was too hard. She was very strong and thorough. Loved the additions of the hot towels, too. I will definitely go back. read more

I'm unimpressed. 10 minutes on the massage chair was much better than a $40.00 - 30 minute massage. Maybe the masseuse was having a bad hair day! Won't be needing your stamp card. read more
