The meat was tender and well-seasoned, the toppings were fresh, and the sauces brought it all together perfectly. The falafel was crispy on the outside, flavorful inside, and clearly freshly made I wasn't able to sit and eat inside because it was pretty cold that day, but the restaurant itself was very clean and well kept, which I always appreciate. Was here after the NFL experience event a few weeks ago. Perfectly good middle eastern / Mediterranean chicken, rice, shawarma, etc. place. Here for a conference at the Moscone center and got the Mezza plate and side of fries on the walk back to the hotel. Service is fast and efficient. Pros: the tzatziki, baba ghanoush and hummus taste legit made on site with depth of flavor. Fries were really good! Cons: I personally prefer my falafel on the softer side and they make them pretty firm. I didn't ask them to modify and it was still good. Being close to work, I used to go to this place quite often until... I noticed one day that they charged me a 20% surcharge. My coworker also ordered from here and the same thing happened to him... and this is on top of highly priced food plus the tip. I have read some of the reviews here that mentioned being overcharged, from paying more than shown on the menu to inconsistent charges. How is the food? It is hit or miss. Sometimes the beef is not the freshest and can be too salty. And the portions are small. With so many choices up the street, I won't be coming here or any of the other Oasis grills in SF. read more

I'm glad I did. The food was great! Chicken shwerma over rice was filling and had lots of veggies zucchini, bell peppers and spices. It came with humus and Greek yogurt. The Veggie mezza plate was great too, however for me the eggplant was a little to toasty flavored for me, but that's me. The Greek Salad was generous size with lots of goodies. The price per place was under $20 for SF for something healthy and filling was awesome. Something for everyone, vegetarian or meat eater. Oh I got some garlic fries too! They were good, not OMG amazing but def good, to balance out the healthiness order by phone or dine in, don't use apps they have an up charge...because oasis grill has to pay the up charge. As far as Mediterranean food goes, this place is mediocre at best. I've had far better for much less. Came in here today for lunch as suggested by a coworker. Had a beef & lamb gyro wrap for about $12 after tax. The wrap was very loosely assembled -- I spilled about a third of each half as I was eating. I almost thought this was a veggie wrap because of how underwhelming the beef & lamb were. It didn't taste bad per se, but didn't remind me of Mediterranean food. One thing that I did like was the hot sauce. Not sure if it's made in house, but it helped mask the wrap very well. Is this place bad? No, not by any means. However, there are much better tasting places around at the same price range. Would not recommend, 3/5 read more

I was very disappointed with Oasis Grill. I was craving a fried chicken sandwich and saw their menu outside that had a sesame fried chicken sandwich. The menu version looks so good that's what drew me into the restaurant. However, once I got my sandwich, I was super disappointed. This was a classic definition of instagram vs reality type, my actual order looked NOTHING like the menu chicken sandwich! Also, the chicken was definitely on the smaller side as its more of a chicken tender size. The sesame flavor was good, thats why I put 2 stars not 1, and the bread was toasted perfectly. "Will this be an oasis in the city?" I asked myself as my woof and I wandered up to Oasis grill. I had a craving for falafel that needed to be satisfied, and I had found oasis grill wandering by in the past. Knowing that a lot of the other nearby restaurants are mostly tourist traps or overly expensive, this seemed like the perfect place to go on a late Saturday morning. In we went! Oasis is a pretty small little venue with a seating area toward the back and a little bar counter sitting area near the front. Menu was pretty diverse with a lot of different options but I knew I wanted to go for a falafel wrap. The Woof got a combination veggie plate which looked delicious! Food came very quickly and we were definitely excited to dig in! I must say that the falafel here is perfect and crispy which is exactly what I like, and the fillings were perfect as well. Portion size was very filling even for a big cat like me and my Woof also echoed my thinking. Service was friendly although the person at the register seemed really tired or bored which wasn't a bad thing just unexpected. So like there was this really groovy movie made back in '68 called "Wild in the Streets" where the youth of America took over Washington, D.C., and an underage rock star was elected President when they put LSD in the water supply. What a trip, man. What does this have to do with Oasis Grill, you may ask? Not much except the place appears to be managed by the same apathetic youth in the movie if you just flash forward the story 43 years. I assume this location, formerly the gawd-awful Jollibee's, is related to the original one on Drumm Street across from the Hyatt Regency on the Embarcadero. I like the original place, this one not so much. The cashier really seemed bothered that I wanted to order anything, but I persisted and asked for a $7.75 Kefta Kebab, a grilled lavash wrap with a combination of ground beef and lamb, lettuce, tomatoes, and doused with tahini sauce (see photo). What was tasty at the original location came out as dried-out and nearly inedible at this one. So disappointing that I couldn't finish it - which as anyone knows me, almost never happens. Jamie W. was similarly unimpressed, and neither of us were happy that the tables didn't look like they had been bussed all day. I wish I knew to bring my sponge and Formula 409. I like the Oasis Grill by work on Market, but I wanted to try a new location. Decided to stop by the 4th Street location for lunch on Wednesday, July 22nd around 1:30pm. I got take out which took about 10-15 mins to make. *Mixed grill ($16.99): one skewer each of beef, chicken and kefta kebab plus sides - rice, hummus, cucumber & yogurt salad, green salad & bread I'd been craving Mediterranean food for a while, so this was great! I love variety so having one skewer each of meat hit the spot. I didn't get a green salad (not sure if it actually comes with one, but it didn't come with my order) nor did I touch the rice or bread, but I finished everything else. I was definitely satisfied and maybe a little too full after eating this meal. It was delicious! So why 3 stars? The location. I don't know why, but it seems a little dirtier than the one on Market by 3rd. I wouldn't want to eat here. Other than that, the food was still worthy of 4 stars. Ordered it spicy but it was barely mild so get it extra hot if you need spiciness. Side of falafel tasted like falafel. This is totally the restaurant to visit for lunch, due to its close proximity to the Moscone Center & Metreon. Their Beef & Lamb Gyro and Chicken Shawarma (including the plate version) are all very delicious. I came in right after my workout session at the gym with the need to munch on a Gyro. Next moment, I found myself in here. I ordered the Beef & Lamb Gyro and munched away on it. This was certainly one delicious Gyro, I enjoyed it. Also, the portion of this Gyro is big enough to keep me filled until dinner. The guys in the kitchen were very friendly and the lady doing the cashiering seemed very friendly. Overall, good experience here so I'll definitely be back. Oasis Grill - my favorite spot for Gyros and Shawarmas. There are seats available to accommodate around 20-50 customers (I actually counted 42 seats). I thought this is a very good amount of seating for a restaurant in the South of Market area. Walking into San Francisco for an event, a colleague and I were hungry as we headed to our hotel. Looking at Oasis and seeing their menu, we headed in with a desire to have one of their menu items. Looking at the diversity of their menu, it truly made us want something they offered. We both ordered a Lamb Shawarma and ate in true delight. The various items in it and the lamb made us very pleased with what we ordered. The Lamb Shawarma craved us to come back and eat again. Looking at their menu, it ranges from Shawarma and salads to diverse food dishes, side orders as well as desserts (Baklava) and drinks. With it being Halal and creating a variety of delights, Oasis is truly an asset in every way, shape and form. Plus, the service was very well and they always ask how you are doing along with what else you might want!!
