Lafayette, California in early October is like an autumnal daydream. At high noon, the shaking tree leaves seem to sing in unison off Mt Diablo Valley Blvd. On the adjacent to BevMo off Mt Diablo Blvd, you will run into a rare parking lot with space ($2/hour metered parking) and this little cozy place. It's quiet and an excellent place to sit outdoors and eat a sandwich and relax for 30-45 minutes on your lunch break. I had the Turkey Avocado Turkey Pannini. The toasted bread is almost like a large cross-cut fry and this tasted decent. Not a ton of flavor but did the job. With a Pelligrino, it will cost you $20. Service is reliable and sincere.

Super yummy sandwiches and salads. Not only that their macchiatos are perfect, also they always ask if everything is okay so service is super good too !

Hidden behind a couple buildings, Oasis Cafe is a delightful little cafe serving Mediterranean with fairly decent prices for the area. Bowls, gyros, and the greek platter top the list on what looks the most appetizing. It's quite a small place with a few tables indoors and outside. It's a much more casual environment, and the employee here was pretty nice and friendly. It doesn't seem to get too crowded here which is pretty nice especially for the lunch hour. I ordered the chicken Shawarma bowl (~$9), and my coworkers tried out the lamb gyro and the greek platter. The bowl came with some pita, lots of good looking veggies, and of course some pretty good chicken. The bowl was pretty filling, and had plenty of variety to keep me interested. Great place if you're looking for a quick bite. The greek platter also looked really good too

This place has reopened and still serving delicious Mediterranean and sandwiches! Normally, his hours are from 10 am - 4 pm, but hours may vary due to the Covid-19 shelter in place restrictions. So, I would call first.

I'm no Mediterranean food expert, but I thought Oasis was a solid 4 stars. Fairly inexpensive food that was filling and tasted quite good. We were in Lafayette for a bike ride (Lafayette-Moraga trail--check it out) and wanted something casual but good to eat. Oasis had one of the best ratings in the area, so we decided to give it a try. Got the Greek plate (gyro meat, falafel, hummus, pita bread, and cucumber-tomato salad) which was really satisfying. Only odd thing was that the falafel weren't what we had ever seen before (they looked like smooshed falafel balls). For under $10, we felt like this was a great deal. Other things to note: - outdoor seating - takes credit card - no bathroom - feels very hole-in-the-wall while being situated in a sort-of shopping center.

Although i'm fairly new to gyros, having only had one on one other occasion, I stopped by to this little tucked away cafe in hope of filling up my stomach after a pretty unsatisfactory lunch. I walked in and since i had came intending to purchase a gyro, I had one of 4-5 options, including the oasis platter (gyro meat, pita, greek salad, etc), the gyro platter (same as the former but with hummus rather than the salad), the gyro sandwich, and one option that escapes me at the moment. I was with my mom and decided on grabbing the gyro platter which i was worried would be too small to share. To my surprise, not only was there a huge helping of well seasoned gyro meat, hummus, Tzatziki sauce, and pico de gallo, but the pita was served in small triangles perfect for sharing! The owner, Ron, even supplied us with a gracious amount of extra pita bread. Ron was very hospitable and talked to us for the duration of our stay, and he really puts an emphasis on everything being fresh and ensuring the customer is satisfied, asking for any criticisms and guaranteeing an improvement on any faults the next visit. Overall, while the cafe is small and tucked away, it has a clean atmosphere and seems welcoming once you step through the doors. For 8.99, the gyro platter was more than reasonably priced and my mom and I plan on being regulars.

The turkey, bacon avocado Panini sandwich was great. The best quality bacon I've ever had in a sandwich.

The latte was okay, but the food definitely took center stage. The staff were very friendly and well-intentioned, but the communication was lacking. Our entire group found the ordering process to be quite confusing. It wasn't immediately clear where to go or how the flow worked, which took away a bit from the otherwise great vibe. Overall, a great spot for a meal.

What I didn't like is that no one comes out to check any outdoor tables that need to be cleared. I went in and asked a young man behind the counter if someone could buss a couple tables we were hoping to sit at. He didn't smile. He said he'd do it for us. Well, he never came out. I found another older gentleman if he could clear out some tables. He happily obliged. With a smile! And said, "I will do that right now." While we were eating, it was this same man who cleared tables. He's the best! Friendly and always smiling. Meanwhile, the first young man I asked originally, walked past dirty tables. He walked by a dirty table twice. Anyway... we ordered: Flat Iron Steak Sandwich - flavorful and delicious Avocado Toast - I love that the avocado is seasoned. I wish the bread was a little more toasted and that the arugula was seasoned or drizzled with olive oil. SB Cheddar Burger - I love that their patty was well-seasoned bursting with flavor! Delicious!! The fries were also great! Enjoyed the ketchup with its smoky flavor.

The pastry case is small, but everything looked fresh and well-made. Limited selection, but solid classics: kouign-amann, croissants, morning buns, bear claws, and quiche. I tried the ham & cheese croissant, and it was right up there with many of the top pastry spots in the Bay. Really well done. What surprised me most was the coffee. They don't serve drip, so I ordered a $3 large Americano--and it ended up being the highlight. Smooth, rich, hot, and just a touch of half-and-half made it perfect. It has a nice neighborhood feel, and most of the people inside seemed like regulars. A simple, friendly spot worth stopping by if you're nearby.

Less like a donut shop bear claw and more like an almond croissant; with almond paste inside, a touch of cardamom, and caramelized, crispy "claw" edges. Second fav...any of the quiche. I usually get one of the 4 vegi options but the ham and gruyere is no less delicious. Minus one star because the line on the weekends moves very slowly - but it's a very small shop with room inside for just 3-4 people at a time. Work on the street is that they are moving across the street soon, next door to Sideboard, and will have much more room then. I can't vouch for the coffee because I don't like coffee but I hear it rivals any of the other coffee options in Lafayette. Wish I had pics to share but they are in my belly. Bon appetit!
